Song name translations in order played: -Acedia (Sloth) -Avarita (Greed) -Gula (Gluttony) -Invidia (Envy) -Ira (Wrath) -Luxuria (Lust) -Superbia (Pride)
Listening to this way late at night when that somewhat lonely smog creeps over everything provides the perfect context. I understand and connect with this now, and I love it. Great work.
The 7 Explained superbia - unreasonable and inordinate self-esteem (personified as one of the deadly sins) -Pride- avaritia - reprehensible acquisitiveness; insatiable desire for wealth (personified as one of the deadly sins) - Greed- luxuria - self-indulgent sexual desire (personified as one of the deadly sins) -Lust- invidia - spite and resentment at seeing the success of another (personified as one of the deadly sins) - Envy- gula - eating to excess (personified as one of the deadly sins) - Gluttony- ira - belligerence aroused by a real or supposed wrong (personified as one of the deadly sins) -Wrath- acedia - apathy and inactivity in the practice of virtue (personified as one of the deadly sins) -Sloth-
This came out when I was 20. I was dreaming of a better life, desperately needing to escape from my small hometown. I was waiting to hear back from my dream college out-of-state (nothing fancy, but still something I wanted) I never had the best grades, and they had already rejected me the previous year. If I couldn't go to that college, I didn't know what else I would do. It's the only thing I wanted. I would stay up every night, listening to this while watching the night sky and smoking - completely immersed in my thoughts about life and my future. This music was calming, but mirrored my anxiety and darkness that I was feeling. Something no one else around me could really relate to or understand. In the end, I did get accepted to the college and I am still living out here - although I have grown a new appreciation for the small town I came from. But this music was the soundtrack to some of my most vulnerable moments, so thank you Joel for making this and being a real one.
7 years later....I can feel the same connection.....11 years later I'm the same excited of listening to your sound...thanky you for sharing your music all around the world with your radio sessions and the parties we are enjoying from different places...the magic of human connection..thank you from heart
I'unno where you are or if you'll even read this Joel, but wherever you are, I hope life gets better. Your music has gotten me up on bad days, and for that I thank you. You're a good person, you don't deserve to be struggling with depression.
If the music stirs something within you, then the artist has done a good job. If the music evokes an emotional upheaval, then the artist has done a great job. If the music makes you feel like you're in an eternal pit of darkness in some corner of hell, watching yourself repeatedly commit the 7 deadly sins ...well then, the artist is deadmau5.
This should not be released as deadmau5 but as Joel Zimmerman. This is him coming from the heart. Coming from a darker place that is also beautiful at the same time. We love you Joel. Great stuff!
Gives me vibes of humanity flagellating itself, writhing in its filth, dieing slowly spiritually. But there's also this sense that it continues to build it's machinations and continues on in some form or another, regardless of the wrath of the wider world. But of course in that cycle could be many great losses. The way I feel this, is sort of the way I'd feel if I were to trip balls and see the works of the mesopotamians etc, only to actually be an early medieval peasant begrudgingly attending church out of fear of god at the sound of the bell. Of course man is small among all these stars, but big and small are born out of relativity rather than absolute truth. They exist as measurements. You are valid nonetheless as you are endowed with creativity, with interconnectivity between thyself and the wider world (without which many arbitrations would not even cross the mind), if only until you are crushed and left desolate by one of countless greater entities.
All of these tracks are amazing and every time I listen to them I become overwhelmed with different emotions. I've developed a huge interest in the Seven Deadly Sins because of how much I love 7. I was a huge fan before but after you released this, I have so much more appreciation. Till this day, I listen to it on repeat when I want to feel calm; thank you for that.
I always dream about the thing in life when everything you do is accompanied by a soundtrack. Like if you were in a film. U walk in the street an the music is just playing from somewhere invisibly. When I turn this '7' on I get than movie feeling and that soundtrack effect just like I'm a part of the movie someone else is watching. Trueman's show lol
Even though this music is filled with a deep and passionate sad sound, it is in itself pure elegance to the ear. Joel, your music as captivated me yet again; please dive deeper because I think you have created something extremely beautiful.
Depressed or not Depressed, put this song on yours shoes rather than trying to find Joel's perspective of this song. I find the piano soothing for me rather than knowing it was meant to show what Joel feels. I think there is none
Absolutely beautiful! Some people just don't enjoy and appreciate real music. It's not about hard beats, fast rhythm, or the sickest drops. It's the passion and emotion channeled into the music that makes it what it is.
superbia (pride) avaritia (avarice/greed) luxuria (lechery/lust) invidia (envy) gula (gluttony) ira (wrath) acedia (sloth/discouragement) - music starts on 00:07 - and maybe the category is comedy because it has something to do with the 14th-century epic poem Divine Comedy (Dantes Inferno) 7
I don't know if deadmau5 is Christian or not, but I think this song is about the "seven deadly sins" in Christianity. That is why the song is called 7. The various words used are the Latin translations of the seven deadly sins: luxuria = lechery/lust gula = gluttony avaritia = avarice/greed acedia = sloth/discouragement ira = wrath invidia = envy superbia = pride I'm not sure where the images are from, but it looks like they represent either death or hell. Sin brought death into the world and the punishment for sin is hell after death. Deadmau5 also made another song recently called 777. The number 777 is sometimes used to represent Jesus. Whoever believes that Jesus died for the sins of everyone will go to heaven instead of hell after death. The song 777 is a happy sounding song in contrast to the sad sounding song 7. So in conclusion, the song 7 seems to represent sin and the punishment of hell. 777 seems to represent Jesus and the reward of heaven for all who believe in him. Or all of this could be a complete coincidence.
This is why I think deadmau5 is one of the most talented producers out there. not only is he great at making songs he knows how to take risks like making an album completely based off piano. How often do you see that from David Guetta?
Old ass comment, I know, but I gotta agree with you entirely. Out of all the mainsteam EDM producers there are, I don't think any of them has or will everget to the artistic achievements of Joel. The man does only what he wants to do with his music.
- Joel'll always be my idol and my hero lifetime, I appreciate what you do with the music. Always looking to go forward not just stay there, so from the first moment you hear your music knew that you would be for all my life my only idol, it is impossible not to mourn with all these beautiful melodies, you may not read this comment but leave here all I feel. You'll always be my idol, four years being my only hero. A greeting and a hug from Peru, we want you back here.
+Abdumalik Mustapha The overtones, undertones, or both probably have an effect on your personal biofreq. For me, I feel a tugging at my belly/gut to this, b.c very deep, lower keys/chords played on any instrument are MUCH more in depth, esp. flats & sharps (like black keys & such) & more emotional than higher keys. For you, it could be similar or diff. :p
I rarely post comments, but this moved me to share a thought or two. Its just so precious to hear Joel's new material and I'm really not concerned that a potential state of being supported the tone we've heard here. It is so worth it just from the aspect of appreciation. Those appathetic respondants have reasons in different to most while I think we all only wish the best for those that deserve it. The piece is just absolutely brilliant regardless of being preplanned or in accompanyment to a rainy day somewhere for some reason. Thanks my friend for sharing your work once more. We listen, we love and we wonder good things always.
This is a brilliant piece Joel, it's so deep and emotional. I just hope you're okay though. I've been listening to your music for the past few years now and I pretty much love every track you've produced! You have loads of fans that appreciated what you've done. Keep your chin up high dude.
***** How about: 7 being seven song about the seven deadly sins. And, the imagery during the video is from Dante Alighieri's book Inferno, the first book of the Divine Comedy. So yes, it is comedy.
Never in my life have i've been prouder to be a Deadmau5 fan and just a fan of Joel Zimmerman himself as a person. Joel's music, us fans appreciating and respecting his wishes to leave twitter for awhile. this beautiful fucking beautiful masterpiece ugh i cant sing my praises enough. I hope whatever Joel has to do in his personal life is done, i look forward to the fun things in the future for all of us, things get better
You've committed Superbia :p. Its a nice change to see from the mau5, although curiosity is driving me insane to see if he would make an electronic/dance counterpart to them as well as the acoustic. (like the faxing berlin acoustic and its dance counterpart)
If I'm being completely honest, Marshmello is pretty Ok, but Deadmau5 will always be one of the pioneers of modern EDM. His songs aren't just a buildup and a drop, which is why he'll always be one of the best.
Scott Lich that's true. I like both of them but, I do like Deadmau5 a lot more since he and skrillex got me into the edm scene. But, I do get your point.
Saw this video pop up on my feed during a really dark time in my life. I wasn't able to appreciate, nor handle this kind of music and message at the time. 8 years later and now I finally decided to view this and really listen. I cried. Really made me think about how far I've fallen from just a moral standpoint. I want to be a better man than this.
In case everyone's wondering, the images used are originally from Pieter Bruegel the Elder's 'Seven Deadly Sins'. It's a large portrait drawn in the style of a political cartoon. The images are just cropped, and red shifted for the purpose of this video.
There's just something I love about the way the deep notes resonate, while the softer notes play gently over them. It's such a beautiful collection of songs Joel has created. So many emotions can be felt and expressed through each song.
It's because the notes are in a major key but the melody has no predictable path. The latter trait is prominent in scary music such as that in horror movies, but is usually set in a minor key. So with the combination of a major (Lovely and relaxing) key, and the unpredictable path (creepy), the effect is achieved.
Bobby Engel I dunno. I hear what you're saying, but there's so much repetition, with variation of course, I think the melodies are predictable enough, though they change up enough to stay interesting. I think the creepiness comes from playing so softly and getting that dark timbre, the LOOONG reverb letting all the consonant sounds blend into dissonance, and in some cases you can even hear where he plays soft 1/2 step dissonance under the melody note which DEFINITELY is an interesting and creepy effect. I mean like in the first section where it's subtle (1:14 for example), not just where it's blatant like a 8:00. Also, sometimes he leads a chord or scale change with a single "character" note, unsettling the tonality before resolving it with the rest of the chord coming in (3:54). There's a lot of subtleties to this piece, and I really like it!
Joel is one of the most talented and gifted artists I have ever came across, if not the most. I know there was a lot going on on his twitter account as do a lot of other fans, and maybe there is more we dont know about. I think he's going through a lot right now hence these tracks...I've been through a lot the past couple of years and Joel's music has helped me so much. It makes me forget everything and helps me get lost for a while and these 7 songs top the cake. They're beautiful and haunting. It really shows how he's an actual artist and doesn't just produce edm. Joel you're amazing and I miss you already.
I love how there's still that deadmau5 sound in this collection of haunting and beautiful melodies by Joel Zimmerman. This is up there with genius modern day composers like Ludovico Einaudi.
Joel, great work! I fell asleep to this last night and now i'm listening to it in my office in Richmond Hill. very relaxing and a nice change from all your other work. Take care!
an average deadmau5 fan can't listen to the deep and melodic side of his music. this is impeccable hand written melodies, if you can't appreciate it atleast don't discourage the artist by comparing it.
I know people come here for "dancey" "poppy" music. But if you don't think this is amazing then clearly you have no idea what true music sounds like. You can feel the "sadness" or "trouble" in these short tunes. Amazing piano imo. It's nice to see Joel showing off the other talents he clearly has.
Listening to this song on a snowy New Years eve, really gets you thinking about the year, what happened, what you did, and what you accomplished... This song makes me think...
Stop fucking whining about this not being "Deadmau5 good old stuff". This is music. Music is one's heart poured into notes, harmonies, chords, etc. This is Joel's feelings right now. LET. IT. BE. This pieces are beautiful. Give them the respect they need. And more importantly, give Joel the respect he deserves.
This is incredible. Reminds me a bit of the Dear Esther soundtrack. All good vibes. I'm glad he's spacing himself out from the "Where's the drop? WTF is this shit?" crowd.
the reason he's so great is that he's not in the industry. Afrojack, Hardwell, Like Mike, etc... that's the industry. Deadmau5 is an artist, not a music manufacturer...
MrBeco91 He is in his own world. Exactly. The only guys who come close to his production level are: BT, Eric Prydz, Madeon, Mat Zo, Porter Robinson, Wolfgang Gartner and those are some that come to mind. They are very few.
A brilliant piece of work. I found it very moving. I felt your music captured the essence of our short comings. It's really great to see you produce something more classical. Though I love your edm music, it is always nice when artists surprise their fans by taking a tangent and doing something completely unexpected. Please don't stop producing and continuing to surprise us.
DEADMAU5 ♥
I find this to be if anything, moving and insightful. Kind of sad to watch the atrocities depicted because they relate so well with our everyday life but the somber tone set by the music thoughtfully sobers you to the reality that these sins are more like truths; they are being violated constantly around us - try for your best, but you must learn to live with the sin of yourself and others, and forgive all equally. And so we do.
Håvard Modalen I dont think he is trolling its sortof like him saying I like this and dubstep sucks it was said in an odd and obscure style or he is just a troll
Hey man, not that it means much coming from some kid who lives in another suburb, in another state, but I hope you are ok. Depression isn't something to fuck around with, and it sucks, but just know that for the other people who suffer from it, and those who look for something to cling to, that you and the beautiful music you make can seriously pull people outta hell. Thank you for you, and I hope the best for you. Keep it up.
Thank you Joel, for these amazing pieces of art. I'm glad and thankful that you aren't afraid to explore other corners of your creative soul and share them with us through your new compositions. Keep it up. You are the Trent Reznor of our generation :)
this is more than music, its art. it makes us reflect on life, using the pics, it reminds us of the mistakes we make and the cost of it. but with that theirs a sound of hope it brings, that one day we will get over it and start to feel good about out self's and perhaps will achieve our goals. but for now we must endure our place in this world and only then we will achieve greatness.
This beautiful masterpiece shows that there's something wrong going on with Joel right now. But, if he's reading some of those comments, we need to let him know that we, the fans are here for him and we will try to help in our own ways. For me, personally, Joel is probably the only musician that is like kind of a friend to me. It makes me really sad seeing that he's not doing well. Let's just all have hope that his situation will be much better soon.
This is pure gold. Thank you so much, Joel. There must be some way for us to own a copy of this concept record. Don't let your naive EDM-only fans affect your opinion about this at all. Solo piano is the perfect fit.
Joel, your music has put me throught some of the hardest times in my life. I thank you for everything you have done for me and all of your other fans and supporters. I hope reading this and everyone else's comments will help. ;)
GRACIAS ❤
Joel is my favourite artist of all time these days. I was only about 10 years old when he was paving his way, but now that I’m older I’ve never stopped listening to his music. Only lately have I started to dig deeper on his past. A true artist. I myself am in the works of producing an album, and I’m heavily inspired by Joel.
superbia puts tears in my eyes..I hope it never fails to do that even wen I grow to an adult. I want it to remind me of my humanity..of the good and the bad

Don't worry, I'll watch it so many times it'll raise to 17:35
Superbia is the best
With all that's going on with Joel, and hearing such a sad and melancholy song, this kind of makes me worry about him. I hope he's all good.
is always good :)
And this is why Mr. Mau5 is Superior over others in the scene... He doesn't just make mainstream crap.
You man, deserve a like.
Charles Flashlol And you deserve a medal
He is an incredible talent , I seriously envy his melody writing abilities , have so much respect for him how ever much of an asshole he acts lol
*Mr. Mau5*
Kind of changed now after 10 years sadly
All these drawings are actually designs for engravings. They were done by Pieter Bruegel The Elder if you want to look them up, he's also got a lot of other great work.

*Gula* isn't slower in the album version, both are at 128bpm.
*Invidia* is the same in the album and 7 versions, the only differences are that the album version is mastered better so it has a higher dynamic range, also the polarity is inverted in the album version (which doesn't make a difference to the human ear, so I don't know why Joel chose to do that).

Edit: forgot to add that Luxuria was also used in Somewhere Up Here. That's it.
Also, Avaritia in Terrors In My Head is also in different key
Also the album version of Ira has ominous sounding pad-like sounds added to it.
This song, paired with the imagery of sin... it's so sinister, yet so beautiful. It brings about a feeling of despair because of how horrible humanity can be, and yet it's so calming and soothing to listen to...
Tressym humanity is so corrupt nowdays.... Nothing in this world will ever be good again!

And by shit I only mean my opinion…everyone is right yah feel?

You can really hear that it's Deadmau5 that made this. Even though you havent seen the name. The notes are so. ''Deadmau5ish'' Idk
I agree
Lensko He likes putting P5 in the accompaniment, and having the melody fill out the mediant, spread triad style, as well as not really caring about tonality, so long as it has good voice leading.
Eta Carinae Yeah he's never really tried writing in a particular key, if it makes sense and sounds good, than it's acceptable.
I understand what you mean by "Deadmau5ish" 😁
Lensko come here and listen again! :D
Joel thank you for your honesty, in this music, I feel you are being true to yourself. The current Avaritia in this EP is from the unreleased track "Sparrows Made of Lead"
There was another Avaritia which was formed from "Where phantoms sleep 04" along with "Phantoms Can't Hang".
Luxuria is from the unreleased track "Somewhere Up Here" (its also featured on Coffee Run Feat. Luxuria is now somewhere in Coelancanth II.

Thanks for the explanation, really cause I'm pretty sure most people won't know what this means.
This came out when I was 20. I was dreaming of a better life, desperately needing to escape from my small hometown. I was waiting to hear back from my dream college out-of-state (nothing fancy, but still something I wanted)
I never had the best grades, and they had already rejected me the previous year.
But this music was the soundtrack to some of my most vulnerable moments, so thank you Joel for making this and being a real one.
hows life going man?
How's lif3 going man?

7 years later....I can feel the same connection.....11 years later I'm the same excited of listening to your sound...thanky you for sharing your music all around the world with your radio sessions and the parties we are enjoying from different places...the magic of human connection..thank you from heart
This artistry just shows how much talent Joel possesses, you can really feel the sadness within each track, really grips you
I'unno where you are or if you'll even read this Joel, but wherever you are, I hope life gets better.
Underrated
Repent and turn to Christ brother. He died so we dont have to suffer for these sins
the real sin here is not having this on Spotify
Quite a few of these are on While(1
@@biteof78 they all are with Luxuria being Coelacanth II
they are on spotify since 2014.
And it won’t even show up on TH-cam music I have to use the regular TH-cam app 😐
Imo, I feel like it's more like in the where's the drop variation of all 7. Harmonic and soothing
This should not be released as deadmau5 but as Joel Zimmerman. This is him coming from the heart. Coming from a darker place that is also beautiful at the same time. We love you Joel. Great stuff!
I don't know. I guess all his tracks come from his heart.
This is a true masterpiece.
mau5terpiece
this is what happens when deadmau5 hangs out at trent reznor's house for too long :D
Beautiful.
Deep thougjts man. Deep thoughts
***** you should check out INSIDE it's by the same people and it's a pretty good game as well
Damn I want what you've been smoking
The seven deadly sins, huh.
I wasn't expecting to find you here

The cast of SpongeBob SquarePants also represents the seven sins😂

Why isn't this on Spotify..
***** That's something YOU can answer. Because you know if it sucks or not.
***** If you think this sucks than you have no sense in music, and should probably go listen to goregrind or an equally unmusical "genre".
***** Don't get mad he just fucking told you.
***** ***** IAmVenix And the winner is!.... CreepersGoHome and IAmVenix!
***** Well, that's ironic.
Coming back to this after about a year....a beautifully ominous piece of art.
Time flies doesn’t it?
Its beautiful! He said in a interview that he wanted to do soundtracks for movies and filmmusic. DO IT, JOEL! You are awesome!
Absolutely beautiful! Some people just don't enjoy and appreciate real music. It's not about hard beats, fast rhythm, or the sickest drops. It's the passion and emotion channeled into the music that makes it what it is.
Going on 5 years now and I still remember listening to this when it came out and falling in love with this video.
Mozart + Tattoos = Deadmau5 :)
no xdxdxd
Cigarettes, too.
Lol not quite
superbia (pride)
avaritia (avarice/greed)
luxuria (lechery/lust)
invidia (envy)
gula (gluttony)
ira (wrath)
acedia (sloth/discouragement)
- music starts on 00:07
- and maybe the category is comedy because it has something to do with the 14th-century epic poem Divine Comedy (Dantes Inferno)
7
I don't know if deadmau5 is Christian or not, but I think this song is about the "seven deadly sins" in Christianity. That is why the song is called 7. The various words used are the Latin translations of the seven deadly sins:
luxuria = lechery/lust
gula = gluttony
avaritia = avarice/greed
acedia = sloth/discouragement
ira = wrath
invidia = envy
superbia = pride
I'm not sure where the images are from, but it looks like they represent either death or hell.
No shit. Just enjoy the tune.
They're pictures from Dante's Inferno I think.
Borussia Dortmund all the way man
My name is Christian
( ._.)
he is Jewish Jesus grant grant grant........ grand son
Why do I like this so much?
Like, seriously, I've been listening to this over and over throughout the day.
"Category: Comedy"
***** How about: 7 being seven song about the seven deadly sins. And, the imagery during the video is from Dante Alighieri's book Inferno, the first book of the Divine Comedy. So yes, it is comedy.
totalspark Good job
Never in my life have i've been prouder to be a Deadmau5 fan and just a fan of Joel Zimmerman himself as a person. Joel's music, us fans appreciating and respecting his wishes to leave twitter for awhile. this beautiful fucking beautiful masterpiece ugh i cant sing my praises enough. I hope whatever Joel has to do in his personal life is done, i look forward to the fun things in the future for all of us, things get better
***** Hah hah definitely not the only one on this video :) , everyone is pretty chill on this video thankfully
You've committed Superbia :p. Its a nice change to see from the mau5, although curiosity is driving me insane to see if he would make an electronic/dance counterpart to them as well as the acoustic. (like the faxing berlin acoustic and its dance counterpart)
listen to this with thunder and lighting in the background
+Valon Selimaj I did and it just defines pure bliss.
+Reece Cappaert www.rainymood.com
+Reece Cappaert lol
+Daniel Johannesen been using rainymood for years. I have a bose speaker so the thunder especially is super amplified.
Ooooooo I like the way you think
Gluttony/Gula is probably the only sin Joel has not commited
Nope , he did a epic meal time episode (grill cheese tower and also the meat Chtulu)
And people still claim Marshmello is better
marshmello is fucking garbage
Scott Lich I like both
If I'm being completely honest, Marshmello is pretty Ok, but Deadmau5 will always be one of the pioneers of modern EDM. His songs aren't just a buildup and a drop, which is why he'll always be one of the best.
Scott Lich that's true. I like both of them but, I do like Deadmau5 a lot more since he and skrillex got me into the edm scene. But, I do get your point.
People have different style
Saw this video pop up on my feed during a really dark time in my life. I wasn't able to appreciate, nor handle this kind of music and message at the time. 8 years later and now I finally decided to view this and really listen. I cried. Really made me think about how far I've fallen from just a moral standpoint. I want to be a better man than this.
I have to admit, this is kind of scary
Well this is about the seven deadly sins
Yeah but why did the video have to be like this?
MrFuzzyPanda The pictures are drawings of the seven deadly sins
+MrFuzzyPanda the video to go with it isn't exactly going to be sunshine and rainbows is it?
+Durrant miller sup dude
In case everyone's wondering, the images used are originally from Pieter Bruegel the Elder's 'Seven Deadly Sins'. It's a large portrait drawn in the style of a political cartoon.
The images are just cropped, and red shifted for the purpose of this video.
People forget/don't know how much of a good musician Joel is. This is the perfect piece to let people know who he actually is.
There's just something I love about the way the deep notes resonate, while the softer notes play gently over them. It's such a beautiful collection of songs Joel has created. So many emotions can be felt and expressed through each song.
This deserves a release. It is a true masterpiece.
deadmau5
This is lovely and relaxing but really creepy at the same time. How can this be?
Bobby Engel Also the really light synth pads and the odd out of key notes he uses cause this effect too
It's called dissonance
Bobby Engel Boom Roasted.
I hope he eventually makes all of these into full length songs. I don't need loud or a drop... I just want to enjoy this
Most of the songs have extended versions that came out on his new album. Go check them out! (:
Very abstract in the best way.
Oh shit... I don't know how I missed them! Lol I knew about Avaritia but I didn't see the rest! Thank you for pointing that out!
Jake Zalba a few days ago he streamed making a new track with the melody of Ira :)
deadmau5 comment section is probably the only one where not everyone rage and people actually communicate in a normal way.
Take care!
just don't fall asleep at the job!
Love love love it!!! Takes me to dark, reflective, introspective places in a way that only Burial's music has in the past
I wish you would just do so much more of this stuff, your piano never fails to bring me to a tear for how beautiful it is.
This is amazing, man. I love this kind of stuff. Heard it hours ago but decided to give the entire thing another listen bc really.
an average deadmau5 fan can't listen to the deep and melodic side of his music. this is impeccable hand written melodies, if you can't appreciate it atleast don't discourage the artist by comparing it.
this is such beatiful work,
its so happy.
beautiful*
Indeed my friend, indeed :)
DM Ryder Happy? not at all for me 0-0 i find it quite depressing, actually. But still, a masterpiece. 10/10
are you ok deadmau5
+majestic waluigi nah i love this! Its peaceful asf and sounds great with homework occupying your mind
+majestic waluigi I think he means if you scroll up he goes berzerk on some kid... lol
+Danny Bate XD
Random Flops The music is great. The names, the references, and the imagery is depressing.
I think lot of thing
Just realised the meanig of 7 after reading the description.
This is much deeper than i thought
Joel, u da best =D
This is incredible. Reminds me a bit of the Dear Esther soundtrack. All good vibes. I'm glad he's spacing himself out from the "Where's the drop? WTF is this shit?" crowd.
You evoked an Album name....
This is masterful. I'm going to say it a million times. deadmau5 is the best producer in the electronic music industry.
the reason he's so great is that he's not in the industry.
MrBeco91
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike use shadow producers, they are only the face
A brilliant piece of work. I found it very moving. I felt your music captured the essence of our short comings.
It's really great to see you produce something more classical. Though I love your edm music, it is always nice when artists surprise their fans by taking a tangent and doing something completely unexpected.
Please don't stop producing and continuing to surprise us.
Watching this after 7 years
DEADMAU5 ♥

I loved the part where the two cats were fighting over a sausage
Oh, so that's why its comedy...
Couldn't have said it any better. You nailed that on the head
Mmm i love this Dubstep...
Its not dubstep.
Marksahoy huh i think that the reason he posted that..... lol!
James Herbig ..?
Marksahoy huh ever heard about the troll?
Håvard Modalen
I dont think he is trolling its sortof like him saying I like this and dubstep sucks it was said in an odd and obscure style or he is just a troll
This man has unimaginable potential and talent
Hey man, not that it means much coming from some kid who lives in another suburb, in another state, but I hope you are ok. Depression isn't something to fuck around with, and it sucks, but just know that for the other people who suffer from it, and those who look for something to cling to, that you and the beautiful music you make can seriously pull people outta hell. Thank you for you, and I hope the best for you. Keep it up.
This is a combination of art and music.
And they're both masterpieces.
This must be in the art gallery of eternal.
This is art. It might not have a drop, but it doesn't need one.
Joel, your music has put me throught some of the hardest times in my life. I thank you for everything you have done for me and all of your other fans and supporters. I hope reading this and everyone else's comments will help.
;)
Absolutely love your chord progression. This video is beautiful, and the music is just... Indescribable.
GRACIAS ❤
The 7 deadly sins .. Props to you Joel! Love it!
***** Exactly, it even tracks back to his other songs, as these are instrumentals to songs from his other songs.
100% organic by deadmau5 he produce organic music
Really really nice that Joel; sounds like it comes from a sad place though. Hope that doesn't last too long and you feel happier soon.
I love how there's people that never heard his slow songs and are completely confused right now
superbia puts tears in my eyes..I hope it never fails to do that even wen I grow to an adult. I want it to remind me of my humanity..of the good and the bad
pride, avarice, lust, envy, gluttony, anger, sloth.
Why would he post this?
DarkEvonik its been on soundcloud since last night
soberbia, avaricia, lujuria, envidia, gula, ira, pereza
But why the 7 deadly sins? I wonder.
DarkEvonik because of modern dance artists are all of them
