Honestly I love watching in 3D, but maybe that's becz I rarely go out to watch movies that reaallly warrant 3D.
Marvel And DC movies are a treat in 3D.

You forgot to talk about the quality of those glasses given by the theatres, they are full of scratches and smudges which I need to chose less dirty among them and it takes time.

Totally agree 🙌 I felt that issue and also there are too much scratches on the 3d glass they provide so the picture gets blurry I'm not gonna watch Films in 3d after watching the spider man no way home the movie was good but I nearly enjoyed it cuse there were dull colours and brightness because of the polarized glass very bad experience.

I saw spiderman no way home , and i wish i could have seen it in 2d , but i saw in 3d and , literally the whole movie just got ruined by 3d galsses , the movie was so dark and dull that it ruined my fun . 😭

thank you for making this video. I have a vision disability (optic nerve hypoplasia) and so I've never been able to see a 3D movie. Seeing how much it actually sucks makes me feel better in a strange way 😅😅
wear ur glass inside 3d glass and watch it
@@rfy4161 optic nerve hypoplasia means that I have an underdeveloped nerve in my eye, which means I don't have sight receptors in that eye. It's unfortunately something that glasses can't fix :((

Damn, you missed out. I love 3D actually.
You proved the whole point of this video when you said that we have to focus on the things popping in front of us while the background is not blurry. I think you haven't watched movies where 3D is implemented correctly.
Also the point that 3D movies take longer to edit is just plain bad and the script writer didn't really do his homework. Movies are now easier to make than even in history and areas like editing allows the studio to flex its muscles and set themselves apart in the industry.

I also share the hatred for 3D movies. I recently watched Dune in a standard 3D cinema, it was so awful that i didn't enjoy the movie at all.
However, i had the chance of going to a Dolby Cinema (Joker 2D) last year and it was fantastic.
I wish producers and cinemas focused more on image and sound quality instead of this 3D absurdity.
I recently watched no way home, eagerly waited one, but soo disappointed cause of the paper glasses and low brightness,, hope expensive glasses don't disappoint at all I guess!

Dolby cinema has HDR, HDR truly makes a difference.

They don't film in 3D anymore. They film in 2D and convert to 3D in post production. That's why it sucks.
Try watching a 3D stereoscopic 360 film on a VR headset. I'm sure you'll have a different opinion about it. It depends on the lens and the movement in the frame. It gives you a sense of depth in the scene, a catalyst in increased immersion. :)

It is very dark man while watching 3D Since I Got the Specs , When I watched IW , Endgame and FFH it was not that Dark (Maybe Due to Cinepolis 3D because they have good Theatres) but since 2021 I got specs , Shang-Chi was not that Dark (Watched in Inox) but Eternals and was totally Ruined by PVR Gujarat and so was Spider-Man NWH because it was too Dark , i think the theatres also has something to do with quality of 3D , Never had Problems with Cinepolis but I decided No More 3D films , IMAX can Work but from Now on Only 2D films

I have stereo blindness so I can't see 3d movies, which is a waste of time for me.

And then when i want to enjoy 3D I've to wear both power & 3D glass together holding the weight of both glasses became very uneasy & irritating at a time 😑😔😔😔😔😔
I watched 'Robot 2' in 3d, it was absolutely horrible, today I thought of giving a chance to 'Avatar 2' in 3d, it was good but still not clear on the edges of the screen. Plus I have glasses.

Yeah, you’re wrong, about most things. First of all, 3D is not just for the Theatre. We have 3D at home. And just how you see 3D in the actual world (with depth), that’s how we see 3D. And no one gets headaches from watching 3D. Unless they’re using active glasses, and the lights are on. Any Director who doesn’t like 3D, is just lazy. 2D can’t even compare to 3D! James Cameron knows what’s up. They should take lessons from him.
I never liked that 3d glasses it made me very dizzy but I bought a oculus vr no more dizziness it is a very good experience.
That's why imax 3d is available..

3d movies are not good as 2d... its my opinion... i experience it.. when i watch a 3d movie , i cant catch the details of pictures, but in 2d i can do... so i dont like 3d... i like only 2d

My only issue with 3D films is that the effect kinda looses it’s pizazz do to my eyes getting used to it by the middle to near end of the film, but it still cool to experience every time.
Most interestingly before sound and colour became the big thing on film , 3d film first came in 1922 and still not able to make his placed in film. 3d film is actually based on the idea of the shift of images if we see in one eye and closed the other eye. In simply we can see what 3d camera and lenses do is like a you have two more eyes in front of eyes and its changing focus way more faster than our normal eyes does which creates a illusion of 3d. But I think VR can be next big thing in film. I dont have an experience on VR. So, I cant say from my experience on that point. It seem like a next gen thing. If that happens, it will change whole film . Not only as a experience as a new artistic tool. Just think Tarkovsky making the zone of Stalker fim in VR. I really like to hear the thoughts of those who have VR experience.
Let’s not forget that Avatar was made for 3D, the reason most films fail is because they didn’t take the time or technology that Avatar did, that’s why it took the second film so much longer to make because it took time with the technology & editing for that 3D feel. The only flim’s that are good at this is animation movies because they are bright movies that can easily be 3D & the human eye doesn’t mind this,

Yes the brightness issue sucks and if the movie focuses on darker scenes, you literally have to remove the glasses to understand the situation

Bhai mai to ab 3d movie tab hi dekhunga jab AVATAR 2 release hogi kyo ki vo movie bani hai 3d effects ke liye.
I recently watched Avatar 2 in 3D, mainly because that was the only way to also watch it in HFR, and while the 3D looked really good in a few scenes, in the vast majority of scenes, it just completely destroyed the look of the movie, since I saw most objects double, unless I was looking directly at the subject.
The issue is that the movie often fails to frame the scene such that your eyes are naturally drawn to the subject, and sometimes does the exact opposite, causing your eyes to look at something which is not the subject, and whenever this happens, everything becomes unclear, and I would see double. The biggest issue is that I love looking around at scenes, studying the backgrounds and noticing little details, something which becomes absolutely impossible in 3D
It really looked amazing when I was looking at the subject, but it was absolutely terrible when I did not.

It depends on the movie, but ur right in your own way,( i am actually one of those rare ones, who don't see in 3d, it doesn't work for me, :/, but it depends, when it does work, it's too good, and sometimes i wish it remains that it doesn't work🤣🤣)

I watched avatar way of water today with a worst ever 3d class that killed whole movie experience. Colors were darker i never really liked 3d movies and imax theatres are not near my home. I thought I am only one who hated 3d movies

What is the best way to watch a movie? 4dx, 3d, dolby, imax or standard?
Depends on the movie and what you enjoy. Most movies are perfectly fine in standard, as it's the expected viewing method. Some movies like The Batman are designed with IMAX and Dolby in mind and can be an incredible experience. The Avatar movies are created for 3D and 4dx, with that being the intended viewing method. It's otherworldly and can fully immerse you in its world. Just look into the movies before release and how heavy they market viewing methods, if they frequently mention Dolby or IMAX then it's probably a really awesome experience if it's possible for you to do so. If not, then it will likely be just fine in standard viewing. 3D and 4dx are very rare to have movies specifically designed for them, but can still be enjoyable ways of viewing even if it's not the original intention.
So it pretty much is left up to you and how you enjoy seeing movies.

Not with new 3d glases. No britness reduction and screen comes more closer to viewers. (Deadpool and wolverine ) and by the way i use glasses, inox are giving bigger glasses so problem solved even i hated 3d before watch deadpool. The technology has changed

You need both lenses. So two eyes would be a requirement.
