Welcome back to another Sunday morning ........shine ?? NOPE ! not this week. This week we have a pair of suede to boot new your wingtips. These poor shoes have seen better days. Faded color, grime build up, stains, matted nap, pretty much the bingo in suede disaster !

My daughter (2yo) would see me polishing my shoes and tried to polish my suede shoes... with vaseline! Lmao
I don't know how to get rid of those dark marks in the leather, I've tried shoe soap, dish soap, and even degreaser without good results.

hi, I have a pair of green derby’s… the suede fibre has become strangely long and loose due to regular brushing and cleaning over time… i clean my shoes properly and use suede spatter spray which makes them look new but couple of days wearing brings out the fabric again and the shoes looks pretty bad with shade spots due to long strands… kindly suggest if the same can be fixed… thanks…

I used white vinegar to clean an old, very dirty pair of suede shoes I had. That, a suede eraser and a good brushing with a stiff brush worked a near miracle on them.
Amazing what can happen with a bit TLC and elbow grease.

Absolutely. Most shoes just need some love ! Alot of the time what appears to be the nap has been worn down is really just dirt that has caked on, flattening the nap. A good brushing and it looks fantastic. Thank you 😃

Great job on the shoe. I got to give you respect. The patience to clean all those little holes. I'm a germaphobe and there is no way I'm putting my hands inside someone's shoe. Again, much respect. I like the music at the beginning and end. nice touch.

NICE!!! What type of soles are on this shoe? I thought they were crepe at first glance but they cleaned up too good.😂
There are many videos dealing with cleaning of suede, but yours is the best. You take the time to show each
step to bring back to life some pretty grungy wingtips. I couldn't figure the tape around the sole, but I guess
it is because the Saphir is a colored product and you did not want to discolor the original soles, which were
much lighter. That knap looked splendid after you finished the job, particularly when compared to the left
one which was left in the previous condition. It is tough and nearly impossible to raise nearly bare suede knap. I see you use three different types of brushes. Well done and thank you very much indeed. DJ

This might be a dumb question, but doesn’t all that brushing mess up the suede?Can the suede be rubbed away? Someone school me on this. I have always been afraid to suede shoes….
You can only brush the suede away with a wire brush. That's why it's best to use various brushes, especially the nylon or rubber brush. If your suede is low quality or for some other reason has fibers tearing off when brushing you should just brush less often.
What I did in the video was a deep clean to a shoe that hasn't been cared for in a while and had nap that was compressed down. You wouldn't normally use that many brushes on a routine cleaning. A quick pass with a nylon brush would be good enough.
The only other "rubbing the suede " away I can imagine is when there is too much pressure during brushing and Shiney spits develop. This only means the nap has been compressed. THATS when a wire brush is good to umatt the fibers back to "furry".
