I sure wish I would have sent my 701 cylinders to you. I sent mine to someone else 4 months again, and I’m still waiting on it. Crazy! Shouldn’t take 4 months to bore this. Great videos
To Bore and hone is 10 to 14 day turnaround if not less. .sorry to hear its taking that long. I have 5 boring bars to be able to do multiple jobs at the same time

Just a friendly suggestion, usually its being done in sillicone molding but im pretty sure it work pretty well with epoxy filling. before you pour it, take a small paint brush and paint with epoxy the surface, this way it will stick 100% and air bubbles will have no chance! cheers!
What is the downside to making the fingers larger than what you show here (all the way to flush with the intake area as well as removing the hump on the bottom)? What are your considerations to ballancing the finger sizing? Thanks for all the videos and free education!
That depends on displacement. 701-760 you don't want to make to big or you hurt case volume ( hurting bottomend grunt) For these engines.to make optimal power the ports need to flow with Velocity. It's the goldilock thing. It needs to be the right size. Not to big or small. ( that's the hard part to learn and when a flow bench helps ) bigger isn't always better.

I had watched your video on filling the lower intake area and that's the picture I had in mind when I went to town on the case. When I came back to this video, I realized there was a noticeable difference.
I appreciate the videos they’ve been a great resource in porting and port matching the transfers on my 61x/x motor. Could you do a video or explain case porting a x motor? There’s so little info out there on doing this vs the t cases. Is it even worth it on a mild 185psi motor with a single 46?
Im putting together a 62t bottom 61x topend. I will be running a b pipe with limited chamber, dual sbn 38s, milling the head or i will buy a aftermarket one. Would just this mild build stand to benefit from this? Im on a WDK rok hull so i spend most my time in the surf and some flatwater tricks.

Yes the only difference is the the reeds are in the cylinder not the cases. I will be doing a 550 cylinder porting video shortly and that will be even closer
Have you ever tried filling the voids with aluminum weld? Such as durafix welding rods. I’ve used these rods to repair minor cracks in engine cases, with good results. I’m curious if these rods would have an advantage over a 2part epoxy when filling these voids.
No I havent. The void are fairly large and putting that much heat could cause warping also you would end up brazing the case hardware to the cases when filling with brazing rods

I have engines I built 16 years ago that are still perfect. Most times there is an issue its from heating the cases for powder coat or baking paint. (Which I don't recommend) if prepared correctly you shouldn't have an issue. I haven't had epoxy just fail.
How much does this cost on a average? I have a raider case and 760 cyl. I am just a rec rider but want that zxi power in my blaster. How dependable is this lol
Jeff when ported correctly the are still dependable. PM me on Facebook or Instagram for pricing. Theres a bunch of different options and I recommend a fresh topend after porting so you start off fresh

You can't alot of the voids won't fill if you do that. This is thicker then the epoxy you are describing and the casting passages are small.

How bout porting a kawi 9/1100?
I have a 750 porting videos then the next 2 porting videos will be triples kawi 1100 and yamaha 1100 or 1200. I'm not sure of the order yet

I use both. Double leaves a rougher finish. If u can only pick 1 get double to start
