    Solid video. Thanks for sharing. I'm prety local to you and have a 64x cylinder I need bored/honed for a +1mm rebuild. How can I get in contact to work with you?

    Great videos! Thanks for sharing. My question is after you bored the 61x to 84mm what was the sleeve thickness afterwards and what is the minimum thickness youblike to see on max bore?
    Really appreciate yourctime.

    What do you charge to do that? I have a 701 61x and was told it’s bored over 81 and ported, but not sure of the quality of work, or where it was done. Haven’t had any issues yet, but it would be piece of mind having it done. Even if it was just assuring a good port, and honning

      $55 a hole to bore and hone up to 1mm then $5 more per 1mm over. + pistons

    Hi, glad to find your channel, it's great to see quality machine work in action :) I've never seen a head surfacer/miller like you have, who makes that one? Thanks

    hello how are you, I'm glad that's good. !! excellent videos and work and the quality of everything you do👏. I have a 61x cylinder in 81mm and I wanted to carry it in 84mm as you do in the video. my great doubt was if there is a guarantee that the shirt will not break or that the cylinder will not heat up ... I hope for your answer and I continued like this.

      I've done hundreds of them over the years without issue. Any time you're doing a performance build I recommend running dual cooling but if you're just boring it and not doing any porting you'll be totally fine where it comes to cooling

      I understand you perfectly, I consulted you because you know a lot about this seeing your work, they told me that you had to change the set to go to 84mm, and does it have the same performance as an original one? I already say through the transfer channels. !! They are doubts that I have due to lack of experience. I wait your answer. thanks.

    Another great video Mark✌🏻, I have a set of 62t cases that are matched to a 701 62t Jug. I would like to put my 64x 760 jug on those cases but need the ridges cut out of the cases as the 760 cylinder jug will not sit atop the 62t cases..
    Does this need to be done or could I cut the lower sleeves so they don’t hang into the the intake path? What’s your recommendation?, How much do you charge for this and say a bore inspection and hone? Thank you in advance👍🏻

    Another great video Mark. Question, on Pwctoday, many Members are strongly against using Ball Hones because they can chip the Ports, is this true?

    • @EricksonMachinePerformance
      @EricksonMachinePerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely not true if used properly. The 3 leg deglazing hones are the ones to stay away from

    • @EricksonMachinePerformance
      @EricksonMachinePerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      but that said i also only use them to finish chamfering. They are safe to use just make sure to use the right size and the right speed and you are fine. I have done THOUSANDS of cylinders and have never had an issue.

    Hey man, thanks for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us! I do have a question: I have a hard time chamfering the sides of the ports. Any tips? Thanks!

    • @EricksonMachinePerformance
      @EricksonMachinePerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A taper cone diamond burr and practice. That is by far the hardest part

      Ok cool, I guess I need to keep practicing.... hey would an 83mm flex hone be appropriate for deglazing a stock 81mm bore? Thanks again!

    Hi I was wondering how much does it cost to bore a motor

    disadvantages of just going to a 64x 760 cylinder?

    • @EricksonMachinePerformance
      @EricksonMachinePerformance  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So the 760 has higher port timing. That being said, if you Port a 760 and bore to 85mm, that will outperform the 61x. Both work great. It's really a preference. Main thing is the 61x is a more common cylinder.
