We have lived in mostly tiny homes for much of our 47 years of marriage. We have raised two boys; along with so many of their friends. . .we rarely had time alone. Good to hear you are enjoying meals together - - so vital to your connecting as a family. Your children will some day thank you for putting them first & actually listening to them. Our boys are grown men & we now have 7 grands. We remember the day our oldest thanked us for being good parents. Fact is we just loved them & put their needs first; nothing special, just followed scripture. Hope your children reward you some day too! Remember, they learn more from your actions rather than from your words.
Yes to the bedroom doors! We are a family of 4, partimers but we use our 5er at least once a month. Having 2 bedrooms, both with doors was a must have for us! We needed to be under 34 feet so we had to skip on the second bath... so sad but we haven't had any problems so far. Happy travels!

Should put filter at the spickot so your clean water hose doesn't get algae and sediment build up inside. And can put regulator after the filter is well since the sediment loves to cling to brass. :) That solar prep, useless except to trickle charge batteries during storage. At 15amps, it won't supply power you consume. The propane is rated in Pounds not Gallons. Now that I picked on you enough, nice right and setup. We full time a Toyhauler and are on year 2 of FT living.
That is a great idea about the filter. A year after we made this video and I had never thought about that! We have learned a lot since we made this video, but we appreciate your advice.
@@TheChicksLife no problem. We made the same mistake. About 6mos later I started noticing a yellowing inside the hose and sediment caking on the brass ends. Moved the filter and much better. Also that filter last us about 6mos. Noticed the toilet water getting a greenish color. Changed filter, back to normal :)

I have a nice coffee table like that I put wheels on mine that I found underneath the coffee table w/two shallow drawers underneath . It also matches my entertainment system . They were given to me by my last roommate the day we both moved out of his beautiful home he had to sell due to an incurable illness . I like the plaque in the toilet room "The shitter was full " I loved the picture on the plaque . It was so fun . Goose gave tour of her room & bathroom like a little pro tour guide . She is an adorable little girl . Ya's are so blessed with two beautiful children . Are things accessible inside your 5 TH wheel when your hitched up on the road ex : the bathroom(s) , refrigerator for eating or something to drink ? When the slides are in do they cut off access to anything inside your 5 TH wheel ? Is your truck a dually ? What is attached to the top of tall pole mounted on the back of your rig ? The Chick's Life - RV Travel it's a pretty slick idea. You've done a great job maximizing space. And why not keep making it feel as homey as possible? You're gonna be in it for a while longer.
We never had a fifth wheel but did traveled in a 34 ft bunkhouse trailer and space was a premium. The RV Industry has become more family friendly with fifth wheels and especially motorhomes, our current choice. We are retired grandparents now and look forward to spending time RVing with our grandson. We never regretted taking our kids camping with us.
Some of the trailers we looked at were amazing! We could never find a class C motorhome that we liked. Mostly because of the front windshield you don’t get two bedrooms.
Great video! Wondering how much time does it take you to prep to move from one place to another? Is most of what you have stationary enough to not move while travelling?

Are you warm enough when it's cold and not drafty and cool enough when it's hot? I am seriously thinking about selling my house and living in a 5th wheel RV. I'm not sure if they are weather rated. I have pets and have been concerned that they might not be safe from heat or cold when I'm out and not home worrying that something bad might happen to them if the power should go out or stop. If you have full hookups it’s basically the same as living in a small house! Heat, AC, running water, etc. It all just depends on what kind of RV you get and where you are staying.

I love the quick cheap extra counter space! I can imagine functionality tops aesthetically pleasing when RVing!
We definitely do not want it to look horrible. But I think it looks just good enough that the functionality trumps the slight ugliness of it.

We have a motorhome and I felt the same way about the fireplaces...so silly, who needs that!! But no, they save money and they are very effective!!

True! We are looking into skirting that goes around the bottom of the trailer to see if it will keep the cold air out?
I bet that would help a lot! But, I don’t know if it would be worth it for short term stays.
