This is an excellent piece of work, possibly the best there is on Rocky on YT, and I'm surprised it has only so many views. I am grateful to you for highlighting the differential treatment of the American dream in both movies, an aspect of MDB I hadn't quite appreciated, and I agree with you for the most part except I tend to see Rocky in a more charitable light with respect to its hunky dory philosophy. I think that hope is as important to a healthy life as realism is, so yes, like you I appreciate both movies for their messages.

The only things i would add is that for one Rocky is very well made becasue(i guess) Stalone is a Boxing Fan or somebody else was, Rocky is a great blend of a lot of Boxers Rpcky Marciano, Joe Frazier and Sonny Liston.
The Primal intrest in Boxing(my theory) is because it is the oldest Sport of Mankind and we Men or atleast some of us really do have something like "fighter DNA" since its such a big part of our History.
