I got this either in late 2011 or early 2012 (For some reason my Playstation account doesn't show me as having played it even though I know I beat it on my PS3 so I can't narrow down when I played it beyond that. It might be because I never played it after having to reset my PS3 to factory spec so I might try popping it in and see if my old trophies come up.) I would give it a 6.5 because I agree the first few levels are great and I have a soft spot for resistance against evil government, invading force, or megacorps stories.
The thing I like about this game is the premise of the story, the alternate history. The game looks like more of a A or double AA title but I think the shortcomings it has are because it is a product of its time. I actually dont think the graphics are as bad as you make out, I've seen alot worse.
I haven't played turning point but I have played the dev's other game legendary. Looking at both it's clear both games must share a lot of the same elements, both have creative concepts, both have mostly new york settings, both have pretty weak weapons and both don't have amazing visuals. I am guessing that the base of turning point is the same as that used in legendary as the two games look so similar and were by the same dev in the same year.
Thank God I never played the game, but I did watch it in TH-cam. This game to me was boring and it felt dull and just... *uninspiring* Like, it was so lifeless to me, that when i was watching it, I was hooked in the first mission! Then I literally had fallen asleep when the 2nd mission started and I had only woken up in the middle of the campaign! At this point I just thought "screw that" and I went directly to watch the final mission expecting to at least a bit more exciting and...it was fine but forgetful. This game felt like the dull and bland version of Woffelstein
@@acarguycandreamright634 the demo is just the first level right? thats not good, its pretty horrid actually. and funny enough ive seen people say how bad the demo was in the old eurogamer review of it.

In hindsight I’m glad my parents bought me return to castle wolfenstein instead of this garbage fire of a game
Another good review. Good to hear you will take a look at Legendary:The Box too :)

The demo for this game was fun.
This game had a demo?
@@terjeaasheim3651 yeah it was cool. Started with New York getting attacked and I think it ended up fighting on scaffolding.
