I think you should go with what you really want: nobody will be upset if you do the rest of the makeover and wait for the lights because that’s how real life goes anyway. Don’t sacrifice your preferred design because you feel pressured to get the makeover going. It’s also more in keeping with your Slow Homemaking mindset, and that’s a good thing. You know that we’ll happily watch a later light installation video!

It really is the most effective way to work… I sometimes struggle with that, but do my best to stay focused! Having a daily list makes a huge difference!
First a cleaning marathon and now a satisfying cleaning video. This is a great way to start the month off to get myself motivated to clean up my place too. Thank you Amanda for the motivation (in Canada I’m still on summer break this month, but in September we go back to school and this is great motivation. As a teacher summer break is when I relax, but I need to motivate myself to clean during summer break, so thank you for these videos). 🙂
Your domino chore idea has been very helpful for me. My favorites are vacuuming the floors, and cleaning the kitchen sink.

If you go with a large piece of wood behind the mirrors, you could put small crystal sconces just for mood lighting and recess lighting where you need light the most. Or you could use lighting around the contour of each mirror behind them. So when you look at the mirror, the lighting behind it will be good for makeup.

We recently redid our guest bath and it took me forever to decide which direction to go. I, too, have a ton of different ideas and I'm not the swiftest at making decisions that will impact other people in my home. I always want to make sure that it's lovely but functional. My mind races even when I'm cleaning one room and then I start to panic if I'm spending too much time in that room on that particular day. I finally had to space each room out since we're in the process of decluttering as well. It's overwhelming but very satisfying when it's all done.
Before I even watch this, your channel is soooo beyond inspiring 🥰 I love all your makeovers! My question is, how do you prioritize? My mind is always racing with how to update things and we always do a bunch of little projects so a room never feels finished and it's overwhelming 😭 how do you just stick to one room at a time?! Like waiting to paint all your crazy bathroom colors lol
Aww thank you!! I’m so happy you feel inspired here! And as for staying focused on one project at a time… I am sometimes slow to make decisions, and I like to make sure it will all fit together. So often that keeps my mind focused on one area before I can fully start planning out the next space. But I totally feel like both styles have pros/cons 🙃

Regarding the “Pepto Bismol” bathroom makeover, I think a herringbone tile pattern up the mirrored wall would look very cool. I know it is a tedious process, and you did such an amazing job in the kitchen. With colours to coordinate with the new wall and cabinet paint it would be unique, and not overpowering there.
Whatever you decide is always amazing, and I can’t wait to see it!

I think a stencil behind the boys bathroom mirrors would look cool. Something symmetric like Noah’s but not as busy, but more than what you did in the half bath upstairs
Can you just get a set of different single lights for the Pepto Bismol bathroom - something that could compliment the other bathroom lights or be similar - cuz if that's what you really want as opposed to one long light - I think you can figure it out!! Lol!! ♥Edited to add - As you do the makeover you know how things kind of present themselves & make sense as you go along - help you figure things out - that could happen too!

Is a botanical wall paper for my bedroom. I did a makeover in there and added the wallpaper as an accent wall. I love it, so peaceful and calming now.

Thanks for the great video, Amanda. If you really prefer having two smaller lights in the bathroom then you could just buy two that you like. Don't be concerned about them being exactly the same as the ones in your other bathrooms. Well done on getting so many tasks completed during this video. My son likes to use the no-name Magic Erasers to clean his very large fish tank.

Great temu haul 🧡 What a steal for those dupes especially the silicone mat and the erasers. I use them all the time but have had some paint removal oops on the walls 🙃🤦🏽♀️They are almost too good. Keep sharing all types of Shorts. I'm a big fan and enjoying the twice a seek upload. My favorite bathroom makeover is Luke's. The finishes are amazing and the accent wall, the blue color looks great. Finally the pink bathroom makeover. The boys will be thrilled 🧼🪣👍🏽

I love temu and slot A organization and home things on there . I've bought a ton of stuff from there . I bought the storage bags for my comforters and blankets . winter clothes from summer clothes . I only live in a one bedroom open plan apartment and I'm 63 years old . So a lot of things I've bought are for organization . my kitchen and under the sinks !

I did my bathroom and I recommend a light fixture over each sink instead of one big one. There are so many different light fixtures out there I would just shop around and see if you can find something else if the one you want isn't available when you need it.

My favorite temu purchase was my kitchen faucet. The farmhouse style with the sprayer thats pulls out and it's a touch one so it's so handy. I also love my bathroom shower head with the extendable hose

I think a shallow open shelving unit would be great between the sinks. Good luck with the lights, even if you have to settle for something similar I’m sure it will look great.
We did a pony wall in our bath and the door to shower was always in the way so took it off and finished everything off, had to do some rewiring too. Turned out really nice
