I had the opposite reaction to that comment. My son died during a random, out-of-the-blue seizure, and I promise nobody enjoyed it. A lot of people think seizure jokes are hilarious, but they can be devastating to those who have experienced them

Can someone tell me why, aside from the nightlight aspect, this would be better to get than an echo dot or Other smart speaker where you can stream Spotify for nature sounds, beach waves, etc?
Weve had this since day one and its so vital!!! I slept with white noise prior to having a baby so I feel like an expert on the subject lol

Hope it worked for you! My nephew is FOUR! Four! And still does not sleep through the night. Wakes everyone up and wants a soppy cup of milk at 2 and 4 am. I do not like spending the night at his my sisters house for the holidays at all lol

Yup, both of you can access and control it. My wife and I do it a lot.

Is there a way to adjust the light intensity and volume without using your phone and without flipping the Hatch upside down? If you only have one hand and do not have your phone, all you can do it turn on and off and switch between presets?
Unfortunately, using your phone or flipping it over are the only ways to make volume and dimming adjustments.
Hello, fab review. I currently use red light in my sons nursery all night. Is there an "almost time" setting? For example, the light changing to amber to let my toddler know that the waiting is almost over, before turning green when it's "ok to wake".
You can program as many times/colors/sounds as you want. I have yellow for "almost Bed time". Red for "sleep". You can pick and choose the times they turn to.

It looks like a really cool product but, Is it anything the echo/echo dot plus my LIFX lights can’t do?
No, Echo + LIFX/Hue is gonna be the clear winner, but this is a cheaper, simpler alternative for those who may not be interested in investing or incorporating so much tech.

nice idea but we found wife ipad playing music from youtube to be better selection of lullaby and we can set timer for ipad to turn off.
This is probably a stupid question but I'd like to know if you could have it off during the night and have it on with the green light for example when it's supposed to be wake time?
No a stupid question at all. Yes, you can set the "okay to wake" feature in-app to accomplish that.
Can you compare the hatch baby to the project nursery smart sound soother? I saw it at Best Buy and am needing a sound machine for my sons room and want to get the best one

I’m reading many mixed reviews saying this item started having issues after a few months to a year of use. Are you still using the Hatch for your home? Do you get any problems?
Our original Rest had eventual issues with the micro-USB power jack where it would occasionally sputter but it still works. We got another upgraded one (Rest+) for our other child. We've used it every day for almost two years and no issues.
Have you used this light for sleep training? Meaning to let the kid know it’s okay to leave the room
We use the okay-to-wake function with our oldest. He stays in his room in the mornings until the light turns green which then gives him the go to make a ruckus around the house.
Is there a way to disable the timer from coming on when tapping on a preset?
I purchased this a few months ago I can’t wait to use it with my little one.

Can you hear a loop in any of the white noise sounds?
On some of the sounds, yes, you can hear a slight fade and loop. It doesn't bother me much though.
My app won’t connect to my Bluetooth, no matter what I do. What can I do?

What would be the benefit of this vs a Google nest mini + Phillips Hue bulb?
Nothing really. If that's what you've got then I'd stick with that setup.
I assume to leave it running all night, you have to leave the app open? Which drains phone battery....?
No, it stays on all night on its own. You don't need a phone to operate it at all if that's what you prefer.
Is there a way to lock it so the toddler can't change the light or sound on their own?
Unfortunately, I'm unaware of any locking features at the moment.

The original model must be plugged in at all times. The Rest Plus can run off of battery.

Yes, this can be used without the app by using only the buttons on the device itself.
Does anybody have problem with connection with Hatch?
Is it a dual voltage?
Yes, both the Rest and the newly released Rest+ are dual voltage supplied with a 100-240V power supply with a US plug. It is only FCC and IC certified for sale in the USA and Canada. The product will work at 220v and compatible power supplies (if the supply is rated for 5 Volts at 1 Amp (Rest) or 2 Amps (Rest+) or higher), you can use a standard travel adapter and don't need a converter.

Yes, you can turn the light off and just have sound.

I bought a cheaper version and it just took a dump. Just ordered this for an upgrade hopefully it doesn't let me down... super expensive so it better last

You lost me at Bluetooth. Why do they have Bluetooth baby products? That should be illegal.
Bc it is useful to the caretaker? You dont have to run,in and out of the room constantly or risk baby waking up by the time you get there.
There is no way to avoid it in today’s world. Every home, business, doctors office, etc has wi-fi, bluetooths, etc
