Hey David. Just wondering??? When your using your cinematic settings and following the 180 rule. How are you able to use ND filters with hypersmooth turned on? I’m still rocking the hero 7 black and I can’t use ND filters with hypersmooth enabled because it will turn the video to mush where it’s relying on those faster shutters to process a smoother video. Has that changed with the hero 9? Just a bit concerning question while considering upgrading. Thanks man! Appreciate your work
Bummer... I wasn't really expecting them to release another One X, but it makes sense, however to make it larger? I guess that makes sense with the higher bit rate, but I would have expected a smaller 360 camera. For the price though is it really better? I'm not impressed by the audio, however that will happen with any camera, but Insta360 seams to overdo the wind reduction to the point the audio just sounds poor. If I was to get another camera to complement my GoPro 8 I would have to consider a Insta360 X2. Does make it easier when you are recording multiple subjects that love to run in different directions.

They have no real competition, it’s kinda sad. Theta markets towards a different niche. 360 is basically a pet project for GoPro. Rylo was a great competitor...and then they sold off and shut down their hardware division. No need to be that much better when you’re the only player in the game.
A few questions: it is possible to connect an external microphone via the USB-TypeC input (with adapter); Will the wireless connection used to pair the camera with the AirPods be compatible with other devices from different brands? Thanks for listening.
Table smoothness means nothing. It’s all about hardness of the material vs. hardness of the lens (and it’s coatings). I’ve scratched 360 lenses by placing them on cotton surfaces. It’s really ridiculous how easy they (and the lenses of their cases) scratch.
Last comment I saw someone get a water dome and put i think soap on it you will have to look it up but it keeps a layer of water on the lenses so when it gets splashed on the drops don't say so the lens says drop free
I’m not positive, but I think the new features will only be available for the X2 because of the newer processor and sensors built in. We’ll see though!

I wish I didn’t have to take 0.5 sec removing battery/door to get to SD card. They should have had separate door where I could take 0.5 sec to remove that desperate door and access SD card. 🤔🤣😂

I know, I don’t know why they didn’t send them along! The only problem though is with previous versions of the lens protectors, there was glare when the sun hit them. Hopefully they fixed that!

I don’t think so! The ONE R is still really good! This is a quality bump in video and audio quality, but I don’t think worth upgrading from a ONE R
