After your original review I bought the camera and it was one of the best technology purchases I have made. Thanks for the review. Would have liked to know what has improved since original camera.
Best review I've seen so far. Was disappointed to learn (nobody else has mentioned this so far) that it won't rotate 360. That's the main gripe I have about the Link 1. With that said, I'm also trying to figure out why I should upgrade from the Link 1. Outside of the background effects, magnetic mount, pause regions, new voice modes (that I don't need), I'm struggling to find a reason to upgrade. Hopefully someone (hint hint) will do a Link 1 vs Link 2 review to show all the differences. After upgrading the Link Controller software on my Mac, I have a ton of new features (thanks to the Link 2) that are now available to me--which is great for Link 1 owners! Spec-wise, the cameras look identical. I wish there were more reasons to upgrade.
That's exactly what I was hoping to learn from this review as well, especially considering he had the original link one. Disappointed to not hear a single comparison between the two, but this is a sponsored showcase video for this product only. So his hands are tied. He can't tell people it's not worth the upgrade if it's a sponsored video, but in the future I'd imagine he's going to do a comparison saying they are very similar, just a couple features different, all the software upgrades the link one got as well, so no sense upgrading I'm going to guess. Also if it has the same functionality more or less and specs of the original but it's $100 cheaper, that just means they made it physically cheaper, so that's a pass for me as well.
Hello! This camera looks amazing. I have a question for you. It seems to me like "AI" has become such a popular thing lately. It's been around awhile but it seems to really be shoved down my throat lately. My question is why is this being pushed so much in seemingly every piece of new technology coming out? We've all seen the movies...this doesn't end well. AI never seems to benefit humanity even when portrayed as ultra advanced. So why are we trying to get to the end of the movie??
AI might be a term that has a really short shelf life. Once more people see the terrible things that AI is capable of they might ditch stuff like this very quickly. I already find the term off putting. Just give me a good webcam with class leading audio and video.
Can this camera be used as a TH-cam camera? Meaning instead of using it for conference calls I am using it for making TH-cam talking head and demo videos like what you are doing? Thanks
@@minhsao i was going to ask the exact same question too!! I’m so curious! It would be awesome if we can use this for talking head videos , I’m tempted to just order it and try
Hi, @ProperHonestTech (don't know your name)! Thanks for a showcase of a product! Will this camera work without installing its software on computer? I work on a Mac controlled by my company, and they 100% won't let me install any additional software. So I'm curious, will this camera work if I'll just connect it via USB-C cable to my Mac? So that at least I could get a better image quality and a different view angle from the built in webcam, I wish I could improve my online meetings experience :)
Hi Tom, I doubt you'll see this but, for comparison to these cameras just to get a sense, what's your regular camera you've used for this video for all your current videos including in this one when NOT using the Link 2. Thanks for all you do!
What people don’t realize is usually video conferencing software limits the quality to 720 or max 1080. So anything more is useless if you’re looking for ‘better quality’
The only thing I would’ve liked is an audio example in a quiet room. Great explainer and appreciate the run through of the best features. Much better than one of those paid ‘reviews’
@@ProperHonestTech Thanks, but it won’t let me open the file. Just keeps taking me to system settings and I have all the boxes checked. Maybe a glitch and they will fix it soon. Thanks for the help.

Bravo for positioning this as a product showcase and not a sponsored review
Appreciate the round up legend 🙌 You've dived into all the best bits, appreciate the noise cancellation test!
Would be nice to see examples of the 1080/60 video in HDR.

Quality leaves a lot to be desired compared to a cheap APS-C second hand camera, but I guess the size is convenient...

Ab fab. Can you share the light bar you use on your top computer? Tks, m8.
Yes, PLEASE! Thank you.
Is it strictly USB-C Output, or does it have any HDMI, SDI, or wireless capabilities?

This was an absolutely great video. You covered everything I needed to know and things I didn’t even know I needed to know. Thank you so much.
No need to upgrade if you have the Insta360 Link Original
Recently purchased the 2c looking forward to using it 👍🏻
0:53 thank you for this showcase. Plus greedy viewer expecting a 2 month followup detailing caveats.
As a journalist just can say CONGRATULATIONS, very good review. Greetings from Catalonia (Barcelona)
Here’s a crazy thought… how about a compact gimbal mount for the go 3/3s to simply magnetically snap into to turn it into a webcam.
Can an app replace the software? The Linux software is still missing after several years.
what a great video, just perfect in every respect I thought! great job!
Awesome & Thanks :)
Your mic setup cost 10k?
Do I need admin rights to install the cameras?
Great review, however I cannot get the background effects to work? I use MacBook Pro m2 with OS. 15. Any suggestions?
Thank you. 😊
Be sure to install the virtual camera plugin (I believe you do this via the included app, the button is at the top-right I think).

Does it work with an Android (Samsung DEX) phone in addition to computers?
Nice!
Whilst I love insta360, the original link camera doesn’t support windows hello, and is a bit flakey, will have to consider the new versions
I'm confused why they didn't give it 1080p 60fps...
