The Baby Boom

After a 16 year period of economic depression and war creating instability for U.S. families, post World War II America saw 16.5 million men return from war to a booming economy that made the our citizens feel safe, comfortable, and optimistic about starting families. The Baby Boom generation was born from 1946 -1964 and represent the largest natural increase in population the U.S. had ever seen. This generation created higher demand for new hospitals, housing, schools, and much more. The sheer size of this generation had made them important as they move throughout life affecting the U.S. culture and economy to this day.
