      All generations are already doing more for the boomers then for themselves,
      all their life now...
      And are boomers ever going to do something for all those generations ?
      At all ?
      Or should only the other generations just be less selfish and sacrifice even more for others, namely the boomers ?
      Nope, it's time the boomers coughed up their due's,
      But then, we'dd realize they already spend it all on themselves and there will be nothing left.
      so ya "you youngsters, just get a job and work harder, or are you some kind of slacker that will never amount to anything" ?

    Boomers are an enormous demographic spanning decades, so grouping them altogether is unfair. People born in the 40s are not the same as those born in the 50s & 60s, & so on. Donald Trump was born in the mid 40s, so he grew up during the 50s boom period with a silver spoon. Madonna was born in the late 50s, grew up in the 60s/early 70s & her attitude & generation would be quite different from a Trump.

      @magnificentmuttley154 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Boomers are a mix of people with different values; some are more selfish than others. But you gotta admit theyve been in control of the Federal government for a long time. And leave it to those fine Washington D.C. custodians to borrow & embezzle from the S.S. fund so badly over the decades that it will go bankrupt when their numbers of retirees hits critical mass. From there GenX & Millennials in power will be using fiat money & multi-trillion dollar national debt to keep the country functioning, as the cost of Medicare swallows up over 40% of the national budget
      Concerning the outlook, values, & behavior of Boomers, personally I dont consider someone a Boomer if they cant remember the 50s. Most kids born 1955-59 would have no memories of the 50s, so, like that contrast drawn between Trump & Madonna in the video, the behavior & viewpoint would be very different. Madonna definitely behaved more like GenX in the 80s & 90s than the average Boomer did. I was THERE. I saw that with my own eyes, not from watching her music videos or from news videos & documentaries of the time, as a GenZ would
      Other than that Trump is just another spoiled brat who got everything handed to him. He'll never know the meaning of hard work, & he's certainly never known hard times like the millions who've lost jobs, suffered foreclosure on their home, & many of which ended up homeless. He is a self-centered narcissus that always has a fall guy chosen in advance for his failings. Personal responsibility is another expression he has no familiarity with either, as far as Im concerned

    Read Carroll Quigley’s “Tragedy and Hope” for a full synopsis. For example in China prior to western diffusion of resources, the peasant class could make a fine living providing the crops needed to feed the upper levels of society. To supplement income they sold handicrafts in the open market and did quite well. It wasn’t until an early form of globalization that competition created an unsustainable type of existence of decreased wages and increased poverty. People who lament that boomers had it “easier” fail to grasp effects of widespread globalization. And this is coming from someone much younger than a boomer.

Blaming us for the mistakes, bad choices and misfortunes of the young crowd will create sadness and failure. The factories and social stability of my generation aren't coming back. The foundational quote of the Roman's is if there is no way we will find a way, if we can't find a way we will build one. Roman public buildings and roads are in use today thousands of years later.
