In this NB Clinic, we explore a new Lower GI Diagnostic Pathway for general practice, produced by primary and secondary healthcare professionals in conjunction with organisations including the British Society of Gastroenterology, Crohn’s & Colitis UK, Coeliac UK and more, which makes these clinical dilemmas easier to manage.
Through 3 clinical cases, we look at using the approach in the diagnostic pathway can help clinicians identify important lower GI symptoms and signs, guide us on pragmatic investigations, and when and where referral is warranted.
