Every October, my family and I play October Rust regularly all month long in memory of Peter. I remember what I was doing the very day I bought the album in 1996; it was a rainy, dreary fall day and just like you said, I was listening to it driving along in my car, thinking, "This is one of the greatest albums of all time, and I'm just on Green Man; I haven't even heard the rest of it yet." Obviously it only got better and this album is in my top three of all time.
Yes! I’ve been jamming this album the last couple of days on headphones and in the car and it’s October and the weather here finally feels like the fall and it all just makes sense. I remember previewing this album in a Blockbuster Music store when this came out back when they started allowing people to listen to the CD’s on headphones before buying it. I was so looking forward to it after I had gotten into Bloody Kisses a few years before and didn’t know what to expect. At first I was surprised at the direction they went in because it all sounded even more ethereal and atmospheric and dreamy and harmonious. It didn’t take long for me to go... I love it!!! Still do. So much feel and so epic. 👍👍👍⚡️⚡️⚡️

I love all their albums but I'll always think that the drab 4 poured their all into world coming down it had tragedy love and struggles that pete was going through at that time and their sound on that album was so raw and powerful it will always be my favorite

I’m really fortunate I got to see Type-O only a few months before Peter passed on in Allentown PA, just a few days before Halloween. My sisters boyfriend at the time invited me to go see them, I didn’t really know much of their stuff at the time but I’ve been a fan ever since. Amazing amazing show
Black Stars! I love it! Stumbled on your channel looking for anything Type O I haven't already seen or heard and really enjoyed it. I had the delightful pleasure of seeing several different TON Halloween shows and they were indeed the best. I can't believe the prices of TON concert tees on ebay, and have been tempted to sell a few, but NEVER the ones with the Orange ink (for Halloween) I may well be buried in one of those. Very sad to lose Peter and my all time favorite band, but you are right about him and the rest of the members, if they were anyone else, or if they'd lived different lives TON would not have been the same. If it wasn't for Peter's giant lungs he would not have been able to sound the way he did, that is why no one ever will have that unique sound, no matter what electronics they use now, or in the future.

@@CIRCLEOFTONE He probably does, being a paramedic and all now, my favorite interview was the one where Pete describes them going on the radio for either Bloody Kisses or October Rust, and Pete was standing up in the interview, and the mic was pelvic level and the host asks, "so how does the album sound", and he just fuckin farts into the Mic.
My favorite band in my teenage and young adult years was Danzig. Loved everything 4p and earlier. First album I ever heard was How The Gods Kill. Changed my life. Then Type O came in. What an absolutely amazing band. Especially Bloody Kisses, October Rust and Life Is Killing Me. I’ve purchased those Danzig & Type O albums on cd multiple times because I played them so much the cds got scratched up. Tool and Smashing Pumpkins are a couple of my other favorites, although I grew up on The Beatles. In fact, thanks to my dad I thought music was The Beatles until around age 5. He and I were driving down the road and I remember him actually turning the radio on (usually just vinyls and cassettes) and Kashmir came on -blew me away at the young age of around 5.

I just found your channel today. I watched the Red Fang video and was impressed, but as soon as I came to Type O and heard you sing I hit subscribe. I was lucky enough to have known Pete, Kenny and the guys and would hang with them whenever they came into town. They would have been proud of this. Great work!

My favorite band in my teenage and young adult years was Danzig. Loved everything 4p and earlier. First album I ever heard was How The Gods Kill. Changed my life.
Then Type O came in. What an absolutely amazing band. Especially Bloody Kisses, October Rust and Life Is Killing Me.
I’ve purchased those Danzig & Type O albums on cd multiple times because I played them so much the cds got scratched up.
Tool and Smashing Pumpkins are a couple of my other favorites, although I grew up on The Beatles. In fact, thanks to my dad I thought music was The Beatles until around age 5. He and I were driving down the road and I remember him actually turning the radio on (usually just vinyls and cassettes) and Kashmir came on -blew me away at the young age of around 5.
