My girlfriends girlfriend or ANYTHING on their album OCTOBER RUST, OR WORLD COMING DOWN . Peter Steele wrote everything, especially about his real life experiences and no matter how I'm feeling or what the subject matter is... If you feeling bad about something, his songs hit it right on the head and will make you feel better for some reason. But it never fails. He's about the best song writer and awesome voice that can never be replaced... Ever. That's why with dignity as well as the Ramstein philosophy... One member ever leaves, everyone calls it quits because no matter who it is in the band... 1 - it's really not that band anymore if all the originals aren't there because that's what made the band what it was. Button Type O negative case, there is no one that could replace Peter Steele and his one-of-a-kind soothing baritone vocal Style especially the lyrics he writes or should I say wrote. And the music world definitely sucks more without him in it.
Think about this, too:In just a 6-7 Week Period, back in the Spring of 2010, we lost not only Peter Steele from Type O Negative, but we lost two other Metal Legends:Bass Guitarist, and Founder of Slipknot, Paul Gray, passed away from an accidental drug overdose. He was only 38 Years Old. We also lost Dio Singer Ronnie James Dio, from Stomach Cancer. He was, I think, 67 Years Old. It was as if the very bottom dropped out of Metal, at least in a large part. To me, as well as to all of us, each Death was completely unexpected, and very jarring, to have to deal with. These Deaths were a complete shock to the system! At least, in my opinion...
Pete basically made music to laugh about. Now as a person in my late 30's, I get why Pete wrote such funny lyrics. To get away from the day to day mundane. Wake, work, drink, go to sleep. The life of a "rockstar" isn't much different from your average every day person... Save people stalking you and your life put on prime time tv.
At the start of "Green Man" there's the sound of the city sanitation truck he drove, dropping off a huge load of liquid waste and then driving off. It's like how Beck put a track of leaf blower noises on "Stereopathetic Soulmanure," and Ween recorded "Pollo Asado" about working at a mind-numbing fast food drive-through. Music that partakes of the day-to-day drudgery of regular life, and is even able to wrest humor from it, has a knack for approaching the sublime. I think one could honestly say of the divine serious-but-not-serious tone of Type O's music what Chesterton said, that "the angels fly because they take themselves lightly."

This video was the first time I was introduced to Type O Negative, on Kerrang TV back in 2002 when I was 15. I bought October Rust on a day trip to North Wales the next week. I'd never heard anything like this before, but i was in love straight away. They've been my favourite band ever since. The world misses Pete Steele
"Her and me and her and she and me An uncrowded couple; are we three Hey we don't care what people say When walking hand in hand down Kings Highway Two for one today" I love that !!
Peter, you were a legend, and I count myself as blessed to have met you. You were never anything but gracious and kind the two times we interacted and I will be a forever-fan and awestruck by your awesomeness for life. Rest easy brother, I know you are in the good place, your soul was too pure. Type-O never once disappointed me, God I must have seen you guys at least 5-6 times.
It's no secret we're close As sweaty velcro Like latex, fur and feathers Stuck together now In their '62 'vette Sharing one cigarette In a black light trance then Go, go dance then Go, go trance then They keep me warm on cold nights We must be quite a sight In our meat triangle All tangled, wow My girlfriend's girlfriend She looks like you My girlfriend's girlfriend She's my girl too Her and me, and her and she, and me An uncrowded couple, are we three? Hey, we don't care what people say When walking hand in hand down Kings highway Two for one today My girlfriend's girlfriend She looks like you My girlfriend's girlfriend She's my girl too My girlfriend's girlfriend She looks like you My girlfriend's girlfriend She's my girl
This was the first song I heard by the band and it hooked me instantly. Metal music that wasn't afraid to hint at emotions and mix in new elements from other, seemingly desperate, genres. Sign me up!
I miss watching your hair blow in the wind when you were on stage at Starland ballroom. Seeing you live at the Trocodero wasn't the same. Brooklyn it was so natural for you. It's not the same without you. They stole my Type O negative t-shirts with all my other band T shirts and did bane magic on them all. You shouldn't be gone.
Let me correct Steele: "Hi darling, you lookin cute 😏" Girl: "Uhhhh, im gay, that's my girlfriend 😒" Her gf: "Exactly-" Steele: "You mean OUR girlfriend 😏"
TON was one of the few bands that got me excited and anxious when news came out of a new album release coming soon, I had to buy it the moment it came out and they never dissapointed me... you are sorely missed, Green Man.
Hail Black Metal! \m/...LMAO... It's cool bro... It's all good to have a "mancrush" on someone. The fact you can admit says more about your confidence than sexuality!! I made a similar comment on this video, and again, if you're straight and can admit a mancrush, bro youre just a confident dude who says shit most others think. Peter was badass for sure!
"Hey, we're going out for the night." "Ok girls. Don't stay out too late and be careful." "Whoa dude! Is that your daughters?" "Nah man. That's my girlfriend and my girlfriend's girlfriend."
0:11 - LMAO -- This kind of hilarity and humor, in addition to awesome chops and great songs, is what made TON stand above the crowd. Peter Steele is definitely missed.
Yea he n i were friends met him at Duffs Willamsburg Brooklyn. Very down to earth n intelligent The crazy nut would ride his bike at 5 am all th way to the Pocinos.
Me and a close friend were listening to this song and she came out to me (she said that the songs subject gave her courage). I decided to hug her and tell her I'm proud of her. I know no one really cares but I just wanted to share this story.
@@behindthen0thing Proud that their friend found the courage to admit who she truly was, even though we live in a world that isn't exactly kind to LGBT folks? Just a guess.
it upsets me so much that my parents, who were teenagers at that time, didn't listen to this! THEY LITERALLY DON'T KNOW WHO PETER STEELE IS!! I dream all my life to be reborn into a teenager of the 90s or 00s, to see the kupirs live, clap a clamshell and carry a player with type o negative songs
I saw them twice. I would definitely have been in a relationship with Peter. He is too much man for one woman. I graduated in 96. I saw them in 98 I think and in 2007. They were really great both times. 2007 was a smaller venue and I was so close to the stage. Amazing!
You don't understand how much harder it was to discover music back then. You had to subscribe to music magazines or hang out at a record shop or something if you wanted anything approaching the awareness we take for granted now
I took my wife to a Type O show. We made our way to the very front of the stage and her and Steele made eyes at each other several times. She flashed her enhanced Double D’s at him and when he sang this song, every time he said “she looks like... you”, he pointed to her. Steele had her so worked up, after the show she couldn’t wait to get home and rode me as I drove us home. Thank you, Peter Steele, for the assist 😄
___ Impressing you is not a concern for me. Are you jealous that I actually get laid? People with cartoon pics usually don’t get laid and can’t fight so I can see why you are negative and confrontational online 😄
Joanne Greco as I said, thank you Peter Steele for the assist 😄 I knew she was turned on by him... most women are. That didn’t bother me in the least. Hell, I ordered her the magazine he posed nude in hahaha
This song reminds me off a girl I fell in love with back in highschool. She was bi, and in my fever dreams, I met her and her girlfriend. Now, 20 years later, I often think of what could have been whenever this song comes up.
I get sort of freaked out sometimes by media portrayals of triads that contain one man and two women, but this song is actually fair toward the polyamorous lifestyle for once and I appreciate it. Plus the video is really pretty. His typical darkish look compared with brighter clips of the girlfriends. I like it a lot
Pete was just monumental & deep overall, at the image of their videos from that era. Yet I'm not sure he actually embraced the p.a. way of life for long as he was known to be a monogamous 💚🖤💚
I love it how they managed to present sensuality without actually showing nudity or explicit scenes. This video is a masterpiece.

Type-O never once disappointed me, God I must have seen you guys at least 5-6 times.
2:10-2:11 when you’ve been roped into going to a party but you would rather be sweeping the stage for Pantera.
I died reading this 😂😂😂
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO
Best comment 😂
It's no secret we're close
As sweaty velcro
Like latex, fur and feathers
Stuck together now
In their '62 'vette
Sharing one cigarette
In a black light trance then
Go, go dance then
Go, go trance then
They keep me warm on cold nights
We must be quite a sight
In our meat triangle
All tangled, wow
My girlfriend's girlfriend
She looks like you
My girlfriend's girlfriend
She's my girl too
Her and me, and her and she, and me
An uncrowded couple, are we three?
Hey, we don't care what people say
When walking hand in hand down Kings highway
Two for one today
My girlfriend's girlfriend
She looks like you
My girlfriend's girlfriend
She's my girl too
My girlfriend's girlfriend
She looks like you
My girlfriend's girlfriend
She's my girl
Thank you!! I was looking for the lyrics 🌚
This was the first song I heard by the band and it hooked me instantly. Metal music that wasn't afraid to hint at emotions and mix in new elements from other, seemingly desperate, genres. Sign me up!
0:04 hes so good he can play the keyboard without even touching it
I miss watching your hair blow in the wind when you were on stage at Starland ballroom. Seeing you live at the Trocodero wasn't the same. Brooklyn it was so natural for you. It's not the same without you. They stole my Type O negative t-shirts with all my other band T shirts and did bane magic on them all. You shouldn't be gone.
This song is gold .
2:21 is beautiful, the sound ,words & Pete’s look .
Peter hitting on a lesbian girl:
Girl: Can’t you see I’m with my girlfriend ??
Peter: OUR girlfriend
Lmfao..but true
Isn't that every mans dream? Ha!
Let me correct
Steele: "Hi darling, you lookin cute 😏"
Girl: "Uhhhh, im gay, that's my girlfriend 😒"
Her gf: "Exactly-"
Steele: "You mean OUR girlfriend 😏"

October rust is my favorite album... Never forgot the cover of the single, of my god what a beauties on with the green giant 💚
One of the best voices of all Metal bands
This type of music is long gone. Its sad.
Probably my #1 sleeper TON song. That simple keyboard rift is totally pimp! And lends well to the retro feel of the video - I miss this band so much.
TON was one of the few bands that got me excited and anxious when news came out of a new album release coming soon, I had to buy it the moment it came out and they never dissapointed me... you are sorely missed, Green Man.
At 3.25 when he growls into mic feels pure bliss in my headphones!!!
The keyboard on this song is good.
This is the guy who would leave me speechless
I think He s One of the best baritonal voice in the world of gothic metal
One of the best???
Obviously, definitely, not one of the best but THE best?
Peter Steele is the king and Ville Valo is the prince
I think he's one of the best baritonal voices ever!
He is a bass. Not baritone.
The song that made me fall in love with Type O
Im not gay, but i gotta admit, peter steele was a gorgeous man
Peter transcends sexuality and gender tbh. He's more like an incorporeal ancient Celtic god of sex.
Hail Black Metal! \m/...LMAO... It's cool bro... It's all good to have a "mancrush" on someone. The fact you can admit says more about your confidence than sexuality!! I made a similar comment on this video, and again, if you're straight and can admit a
mancrush, bro youre just a confident dude who says shit most others think. Peter was badass for sure!
I watch only girls, you are freak man?
@@TerrenceMCruz crap black metal, thrash metal is more senseable!

Watch We are the night
I'm a lesbian trapped in a male Vampire's body, so I ain't complaining.
"Hey, we're going out for the night."
"Ok girls. Don't stay out too late and be careful."
"Whoa dude! Is that your daughters?"
"Nah man. That's my girlfriend and my girlfriend's girlfriend."
this is my girlfriend
and this is my girlfriend's girlfriend

As someone from the old school rave scene in the uk, some songs open doors to alternative types of music. This is one of them for me. Thank you Peter!
That time of year again!
Those chicks need to watch the damn road!
They have the power of Peter to guide em

When Type O was on point they KILLED it!
The perfect Ian Nottingham from Witchblade comics. Peter Steele was having an Imposing presence for sure. R.I.P.😢
0:11 - LMAO -- This kind of hilarity and humor, in addition to awesome chops and great songs, is what made TON stand above the crowd. Peter Steele is definitely missed.
See, that's the kind of relationship I'm looking for. And a '62 'Vette. At a reasonable price.
Dream on!

Me and a close friend were listening to this song and she came out to me (she said that the songs subject gave her courage). I decided to hug her and tell her I'm proud of her.
I know no one really cares but I just wanted to share this story.
Proud?

Twister in a Type O Negative video. Yes!!!
it upsets me so much that my parents, who were teenagers at that time, didn't listen to this! THEY LITERALLY DON'T KNOW WHO PETER STEELE IS!! I dream all my life to be reborn into a teenager of the 90s or 00s, to see the kupirs live, clap a clamshell and carry a player with type o negative songs
Wow that is rare, kudos to you for finding your way lol
@@headupdef thx
I saw them twice. I would definitely have been in a relationship with Peter. He is too much man for one woman. I graduated in 96. I saw them in 98 I think and in 2007. They were really great both times. 2007 was a smaller venue and I was so close to the stage. Amazing!
@@starlightanddreams1317 wow
Rode you while she was thinking about him... not impressed.
___ Impressing you is not a concern for me. Are you jealous that I actually get laid? People with cartoon pics usually don’t get laid and can’t fight so I can see why you are negative and confrontational online 😄
___ Maybe thinking about someone else, but giving it to her husband. 💕
Joanne Greco as I said, thank you Peter Steele for the assist 😄
I knew she was turned on by him... most women are. That didn’t bother me in the least. Hell, I ordered her the magazine he posed nude in hahaha
r/ihavesex is leaking.
Yo tambien, but 4 autistic me, the setup is too complex.
Pete was just monumental & deep overall, at the image of their videos from that era. Yet I'm not sure he actually embraced the p.a. way of life for long as he was known to be a monogamous 💚🖤💚
The sense of humour was genuinely amazing
I’m always amused at how colourful the whole video is except the band themselves hahahaha
his girlfriend's girlfriend's name is Lisa, and she's tearing him apart

The last year I found this band, but now I love a lot this band.
too sad he passed away. I miss this band. It was and will remain unique. The soundtrack of my college years...
I find this band by digging through tapes at a pawn shop 20 something years ago. The green caught my eye. 1 of my favorite bands ever since
First 38 seconds of the song are just pure magic i could take or leave the rest.
fair but is it just me or did i hear him say sieg heil in the beginning?
