I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

You want to make sure no violent deaths happened there...Ghosts are real. I lived in an apartment building that a little boy fell out the window and died. He came to play with my son quite often. I never saw him but I heard him while they played. I came in to see who was in the room with him and the moment I hit the door the temperature was at least 20 degrees lower. I told him not to open the window but it wasn't open. I asked him who was he talking to and he said my friend. My son said he was white and had yellow hair and he leaves when myself and my husband comes in the room. My friend lived upstairs in the apartment that he died in. She said he opens all of the kitchen cabinets at night. He wasn't scary but I can't imagine what it would be like to witness a ghost that died horribly.

The craziest story I have house is when I was viewing a house with my niece . My niece had a viewing scheduled with her realtor. When we all went in and we were viewing the house and when we came to one of the bedrooms, we found their Grandmother in the room in a hospital bed asleep. We all gasped and left immediately. Her realtor called whoever scheduled the viewing and told them how shocking that was for all of us, she was told that Grandma was in hospice at the house and her family was taking care of her. So you are not the only one. Needless to say my niece did not buy the house .

What a shock!!!
I think with more people than ever staying in their home, doing hospice from home, we are going to hear of a lot more people dying in their homes. Hopefully, they’ll be a lot more peaceful than that poor gentleman in Charlotte’s story.

My husband of 24 years and I have moved 4 times. 2 brand new houses and 2 houses over 60 years old. I love our older home because of the space and character. We love the older neighborhood we live in now.

As someone who just bought a 100 year old house (in the US), the character they have is amazing but they do try your patience from time to time with all the little needling things that also haven't been fixed in what seems like 100 years!!!! Egads

I freaking love your stories 😂. You always have me glued to my screen waiting and listening in suspense lol. My daughter has a six sense about her, she was looking at houses for awhile, and would get bad feelings of different houses and one house she refused to buy because it gave her an eery feeling. Well the house burned down a couple months later 😮. It’s a damn good thing they didn’t buy it and weren’t living in it!
My favorite story of yours is your outing with your friends when you ended up climbing the side of a damn mountain 😂 and a paraglider flew right above you and landed feet from you. Hahaha! I laughed so hard!
Oh and I love a great bargain too! I just bought the Natasha Denona My Dream palette in the Black Friday Ulta sale, and got it for 30 bucks! I can’t wait, it’ll be here tomorrow yay!

Here in the US in some states you have to disclose if someone has died a violent death in the house and if it is haunted. We bought an older home and we asked if the owners were still alive.
I REALLY hope this isn't offensive, but - I'm trying to get my head around the idea of a legislature that would debate and pass a bill requiring disclosure about whether a house is haunted! 😅 Thank you! That made my day 😂

This same thing happened to a man in a house across the street from my preschool- and for some reason I was made aware of this at like 3 years old and have held a strong mistrust of gas ever since. May that gentleman Rest In Peace and the realtor learn from experience.

Kudo’s for picking up the Leopard palette on such a discount. 🙌 I picked it up too with the Owl cover and I absolutely adore it as it suits my colouring ~ I didn’t care that it didn’t have as much new new ~ and has my fav Dim light finishing powder with 3 offerings of more varied blushes. Funny enough I actually featured it too in my most recent GRWM I Got Whipped at my Beauty Supply Shop 😱😂and I couldn’t be happier with it. It gets a lot of use. I actually like to mix the highlighter with the other blushes for a more duochrome highlight. It’s just so versatile! …
I wanted to say~ and I’m really sad about the man who lost his life that way instead of dying of old age in his 90’s or 100’s for that matter, he sounds like he was going strong. It’s tragic. 😥However, it might have been a blessing in disguise that you went ahead and heard the “You might not want to hear this but …” lol! Because, having that kind of trauma and tragedy in a house may warrant a good and proper exercism. In lieu of that I think it was meant to be to have your beautiful and blessed family stay clear of that house. Just a thought. 💕

In the US, real estate agents are required to disclose a death in the house. Typically only in the case of a murder or suicide, but some states require disclosure despite the manner of death.

Mac cosmetics had the same double sided brush. I had it and I gave it away.
It is mandatory, under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations (or CPR's) that the Estate Agent discloses any deaths on the property (and this is still classed as one)... So if you'd found any info online after purchasing, you can have every penny back again and the Estate Agent and the company they work for is subjest to unlimited fines and imprisonment for up to two years. So in their best interests to have piped up!... 😎✌🏼💜

Hi Charlotte, house hunting is an absolute nightmare and things falling through at the last minute is the worst. Ive been there. My 2 worst house viewing experiences were a house that had die !!! Spray painted all over the inside walls amongst other things. Ive no idea why it wasnt painted over. And one that had , i kid you not , a used condom just lying in the middle of the floor. So yea , happy hunting lol. No idea what some estate agents are even doing

It makes me really sad that your house buying is such a horror trip (in many ways). I just can't believe people can say "No thanks, we changed our mind!" a few weeks before you want to move. Here in Germany you have to go to an advocate and conclude a contract, so both parties concerned can be sure they are safeguarded.
I really hope at the end you will find YOUR house and everything will be fine.

I would never be able to cook in that kitchen!! The couple that owned my home before me, died of old age and I think they hung around for a bit after I bought it but they weren't very scary. I hope you find the home of your dreams soon. Thanks for the story.

So sorry to hear that you experienced a second time with changing houses that the sellers changed there mind. And the story after that, OMG what was he thinking that wasn't going to sell the house. I can't help you with the reason why you attact these kind of situations. I can relate to that, sometimes as a cleaning women at peoples houses, I hear more than I want to know. But even the owner of my local snackbar told me about his personal problems, I didn't want to know, I just want to eat my unhealty food quitely😂.

When I was a child, I was told that I was to never touch the stove. We were living in another country where the open aired laundry room was right off the kitchen. The wall above the stove was all windows and all of the upper cabinets were glass fronted.
On New Year’s Eve, which also happened to be my father’s birthday, I convinced the Nanny to go to bed after my parents had gone out to a party. Once I was sure she was tucked safely in, I pulled out a cake mix, added the necessary ingredients and quietly stirred. I flowered the pan, turned on the oven and popped it in. I went into the living room and after a few minutes, I suddenly remembered that I forgot to light the stove with a match. I grabbed a match book that was on the coffee table and walked toward the kitchen through the dining room while I struck the match. Kaboom. Luckily, the force of the blast blew me out of the dining room, so I wasn’t hurt. My seven year old self knew I was in big trouble as the Nanny came out of her room screaming. She grabbed me, ran upstairs to take my younger sister out of bed and rushed us out of the house just as my parents came home. Fire trucks were already there. My parents were in shock. When they asked what happened, my Nanny, who was in tears, responded that she had no idea. I must have looked guilty, so when my father looked at me with a frown on his face, I said “I was trying to bake you a cake”. That’s when I started to cry. My mother almost fainted.
When we were finally allowed back in the house, there was very little ‘fire” damage because the gas swooshed through the shattered windows and out through the open air laundry room. Luckily, our roof was slate, so nothing caught fire, and just a few tiles were singed. However, the glass in the kitchen cabinets were destroyed, all of my mother’s dishes were in pieces on the floor, and the stove was sitting rather oddly in the room with my cake inside of it. My parents must have been relieved that none of us were hurt, and that the house didn’t burn down, so I didn’t get in as much trouble as one would have thought. In fact, I was the object of many a joke from that time on.
To this day, I really don’t like cooking and refuse to have gas appliances in my home.
I wonder if the estate agent had someone in mind to buy the house? Surely he wouldn't tell you that unless he wanted to put you off? Before we viewed our house, we had the viewing cancelled by someone doing the viewings saying it was under offer, but according to head office of the estate agents it was still for sale. She ended up getting in trouble for trying to put us off. We did make it clear that we were ready to move quickly with mortgage in principle etc. It turned out that there was a landlord cash buyer who wanted to buy it, and I suspect she had a reason she wanted them to buy it (maybe she was getting a cut or a backhander for helping them). The seller was the son of previous owner and we later found out he wanted it to go to a couple or family rather than a landlord with it being his mum's house, for sentimental reasons. He took our offer over a slightly higher cash offer from the landlord for this reason. There's so much that goes on behind closed doors I think with house selling/buying and a lotnofnitncan be very unfair x

90 is a good age to make it to.Yes, it's tragic for the man, but where a person dies shouldn't matter to the people who are alive. A person is lucky to die at home, in their castle the place that has brought them joy, rather than a hospital or retirement home. Did you ever think that you were lead to that place with a kitchen that you absolutely love? Maybe the man wanted you to buy the place?

“Now that I think about it, it was chilly in there..” That got me🤣. That’s terrible 🫣. I DO understand the struggle Charlotte, as recent homeowners, it was like a miracle we found a house we love, in a place with love with decent pricing. We had our eyes on a house where someone passed in the home, it seemed like a young couple so I tried to research what happened because it creeped me out😳. I tried to convince myself I didn’t care about that fact but I couldn’t do it! Very grateful we found the right one. Wishing you much success in finding your dream cottage home. 🏡

I’m desperately trying to sell my home in S. FL and I’m by far the lowest price in my area, by like $50K and the nicest (fully upgraded everything in 2021) new paint interior/exterior 2022. And NOTHING!!! Not. A. Damned. Thing. These interest rates are KILLING the market

How shocking. However, I think I would rather know upfront as you might have learned about it after you moved in. Especially if it is more of a rural area. Everyone would know everyone’s business.

I used to work in home insurance and dealt with the large loss claims. I was working over Christmas one year and one of the call handlers ran over to me as she had a gentleman on the phone to make a claim for a gas explosion. These are few and far between and she wanted some help. We spoke to the chap and he was the step son of a guy who had walked down the stairs on Christmas Eve morning because he could hear a strange hissing sound coming from the kitchen. He turned on the light to investigate and found out in the most horrific way that there was a gas leak from one of the hobs. The explosion was so intense that in the end we had to demolish the house because the blast had actually lifted the roof from the house structure. It was definitely one of the most sad and extreme cases I ever dealt with 😢 I feel like I can share this now as you are already suitably traumatised by standing in one of these kitchens already!

In my state, realtors are legally required to disclose that type of information about a property.

Love the make up, that palette looks scary to me too but I do love the end result, that story is not funny, it does not bother me since I do not believe in ghosts ( if they exist they must be busy with better things ) but that agent was really silly and to me it would look like he did not want to make a sale, why would anyone tell a buyer that story?...buying a house is tiring, we don't need sad stories...happy holidays to you and all the family.
