  • So, I replaced the txv on this unit after the outlet side cracked. Someone had plugged to unit in and let it run in a vacuum for who knows how long. The pressure control was stuck, so it was running in a vacuum for a while. The system was full of moisture and took forever to pull down to 650 microns. I was able to charge it, and it ran great for 6 hours. Came back out to a mechanically seized compressor.
So I came back and replaced the compressor and pressure control. Pretty straight forward repair. Unit pulled down to 422 microns and passed a decay test. Charged it up with R290, and it is running lime a champ.
I was excited to put the ‎@AmbroControls precision torch to the test. I'm really enjoying it so far and is a great addition to the tool arsenal. #foodserviceindustry #cfesa #foodserviceequipment #hvacr #refrigeration

    Thanks for the video Pat.
" Oh no, we're all going to die " is my favorite part. People need to get over the whole propane thing, I just left a unit that has ports on it, makes me happy to see them , means i don't have to add some.
Kitchens have gas lines that probably leaking and we don't even know it.

Fieldpiece came out with a new Core Removal Tool that has a shut off for the micron gauge. It even has a sight glass to check if you got the core on the stem. It has quite a price tag though and backordered everywhere.
    Great content!

The pressure switch delfield changed from the peanut switch's cause there were issues so they started using adjustable ones with covers on them.
