As a ex30 owner with just under 2k miles. I tried to play with the field weakening configuration and for the best performance and overall riding experience, the default settings are best and second to none. After leaving it on a higher setting for a few days and forgetting about it, I felt something was off with my ex30, it lost a lot of torque and the zippy fun part of riding was totally lost. Immediately turned field weakening back to zero and my ex30 was back alive. Even if you can reach a few mph higher top speed with this mode on, getting up to that speed will take longer and be non eventful. Just my experience.
I like Begode field weakening w the sliding scale vs LK is just on or off. But I prefer LK sliding scale for riding modes vs hats/med/soft. The Lynx is just a great all around wheel, it’s just enjoyable to ride w no real compromise anywhere, speed, torque and suspension is just everything you want.
Yeah they just made it easy. ON/OFF. You either get 15% more speed or you don't. The we have the updated Begode wheels that now allow from 0 to around 20%. Having that 10% setting is hilarious because it is a 2% speed increase haha. Still something though! And then the GT Pro firmware that is allowing 30%! YOLO!
Nice! I've been holding back on the test 330 (amps I believe) fw. Dawn Champion has a vid on it & says its awesome. If this is the 330 fw, did you find any decrease in torque as you ramp up field weakening?
Hi Scott! I was unsure which one to install and did not really feel like installing one called "test". I saw that Dawn tried it and that she spoke about it. I installed 2025014 which has an "update time" of 20240220. I am quite sure the 330 is oder than that. Simon did some fast riding yesterday but he didn't get up to any crazy speed. Also we kept the field weakening at level 5. I can imagine that you would have to be at 40mph and then do a hard push to 50 to get some kind of power loss and dip.

Yeah it's not easy to understand what everyone is saying and some settings and values can change. Begode said that going to 9 could be dangerous. The 9 measured here gives a ~20% speed increase. We put it on magnetic field weakening level 5 which is around 10% speed increase. If we do the same measurement on the ET Max then magnetic field weakening on level 9 is 28%. I think 28% is a bit much.
@@isthereanyfood i mean, after the roger video saying to set it up to 90% begode informed about what i told you and launched an update of the app, changing the values internally, and placing 1-9 when before was the direct %. aand they said 9 was the 50%... and i see they changed their minds again
Ah I see what you mean! Yeah in the beginning it sounded like it was really 90% WEAKENING lol... that would not leave much torque for us haha. In lift tests that I have seen from other riders and the EX30 I have not seen any crazy values but that could be the case on the GT Pro which has some crazy rotation speed. @@erCostinha
