Make tennifer finishes great again! That original finish was da bomb. I love my gen 1, but enjoy shooting my p80 retro more. I've worn the trigger down so smooth on the original, it acts more like a hair trigger, and feels like holding onto a wild bronco if your not ready or expecting it. It's been a life long commitment to get it that way. And I would do it all over again.
The classic also doesn't have the original tennifer finish. Apparently they stopped using that compound because it was found to be hugely toxic. I like the new finish better. This is very close to my original early gen 2 model. From what I remember, that had a wierd bubble texture on the front and back straps that I found annoying when you got sweaty hands. Overall, though, I like this basic glock with no rail, decent texturing and no finger grooves better than any generation out there. And though I really like my gen 3 G17, I think this classic is a better pistol.
Agreed. I carry my classic more than my Gen 4. I like simple carry guns without rails, optics or anything that I don’t use. I have more modern guns with those things for home defense but prefer plain Jane for carry
Glock opened Smyrna Georgia plant and shortly after EPA came in and said they couldn't use Tenifer . Therefore Glock in Austria did same 😢. They still use Tenifer in other countries.

The P80 doesn't either in regard to the Tennifer finish.
