Love the cover of Five Feet Apart. The trees and flowers are gorgeous. Been wanting to read the book. Saw the movie and loved it. It was good but sad

Broccoli?! 🤨 Bwahaha!!!! Of COURSE it landed on that one! 🤣 Oh my, that back cover design REALLY looks like broccoli! That’s so funny! And I’ve never read a book where broccoli is a prominent part of the story. I’m not even sure I’ve read one that even HAS broccoli in it… 🤔

The broccoli made me think of the Franklin story in which he hides the broccoli. I'm assuming it was a book. Looking briefly on my shelf, the one that made me think broccoli was a memoir called Moose about a young girl whose parents have her go to a nutritionist and"fat camp". I don't know what the book is like, but I'm sure broccoli is in there somewhere!
Lots of those books can fit into the book bingo board.
That book sounds like it would be a great pick for broccoli!

Lady Susan is SOOO unlike her main novels. Not one of my favs but I'm glad i read it and it did get my hackles up. 😂

Hahaha! Loved the broccoli! I think you did a great job. Also, as the one who suggested the flamingo that you kinda also balked at, if you ever get that one, fear not! I figured there are lots of ways to go with it - pink theme, bird theme, tropical theme, beach theme, shrimp theme (you never know!), middle age (since some people get pranked with flamingos on their lawn when they turn 40), long legs, etc. Flexible interpretations are part of the fun of it! 😃
You picked a good choice, if I was doing this prompt Broccoli for me would have to be a book abt a health nut 🤔 or something that’s a hard one!

I'm curious to hear what you think of A Midnight Dance. According to goodreads, it comes before The Lost Melody, so I was wanting to pick it up first, but I've heard no one talk about it to know if it's any good or not.
I'm planning to read Lady Susan, The Watsons, and Sanditon!
I would love to get to all three but my goal is Lady Susan to start!

The Daughter of Arden series (Exile is the first of the series) does take place in the middle of a war between kingdoms. I enjoyed that series, so I’m excited to hear what you think!

A Midnight Dance is also (loosely) connected to The Lost Melody. You'll recognize someone from AMD in TLM once you're done. :D
Christy MIGHT be a five star read. I can't decide if you'll love it or not but most people really do.

I've heard a book described as a "broccoli book" when it's something good for you but not fun. (Alrhough i like vegetables and don't like the anti‐vegetable pop culture narrative)
Broccoli is an important plot point in The Romance Recipe by Ruby Barrett
My next ballet book is A Lily in the Light by Kristen Fields
A Christian fantasy suggestion is the "A classic retold" series, I'm currently reading Break the Beast by Alison Tebo which is a Beowulf retelling, I've also read Unearth rhe Tides by Alyssa Zavalianos Which is a 20000 Leagues Under the Sea retelling (my fav so far but I own 5 more)

I would want my power to be practical but in a different bent - I think I would want to supernaturally know & be able to meet the needs of others practically. A hospital bill, college $$, groceries or land to raise food on…
