  • The stock fender on your KTM 390 Adventure can create dangerous situations when riding through muddy or wet gravel conditions. The Tusk high fender kit provides a solution to the problem by raising the fender high away from the front tire and getting the front brake line off the fender as well. Get off the pavement and install the new Tusk High Fender kit on your KTM 390 Adventure, a perfect addition for the off-road adventure rider. In this video, Charles shows how to properly install the Tusk High Fender Kit on a KTM 390 Adventure.

Simple, easy install. Only thing I would add is to use some Loctite (blue) on all those bolts..

Awesome product. Great video. Do you have a digital copy of the fork shock cut pattern? I need to cut mine, but don't have a pattern. Thank you.

I literally had the worst experience with my stock mudguard and wheel. My wheel wasn't able to spin and I fell badly in the snow.

do you think this kit also works on Duke III 690 and SM 690?

Why use an Acerbis SM m/guard for a 17" wheels, when you get a KTM/Husqvarna/Gas Gas 85cc 'big wheel' m/guard for a 19" wheel?(nicer looking too).

Would look better in matt black.

What is the impact on engine temperatures? It appears the fender will block a substantial amount of air flow into the radiator.

Gotta' think they don't know the answer or the answer is not good. They should respond either way.

Is $90 typical for something like this? That seems extremely expensive to me but I've never had to buy a fender before

I would say it's typical for any renowned brand. Tusk being one of them in the U.S. This kit took like two afternoons to develop. Acerbis fender is like 20-25$, with templates and hardware it's probably 30$ total, tops. It's not very popular bike and not very common mod in general, so it's 90$ instead of 50$. They have to make a profit and you are really paying for convenience. I would go for high fender, but don't really want to destroy stock fender.

You could probably do it yourself for less but that’s anything. I’ll let you know that I think this kit was totally worth the money simply for the cleanliness of it and the ease of install, took me less than a hour to put it on our 390 and I was filming the process.
