    While not for me, I’m amazed that you can purchase a boutique planar magnetic headphone for only $350. A decade ago $350 could barely get you a mass produced HD650. Amazing how much head-fi options have improved in just a few years.

    I ordered these headphones in Oct 2021 and got them delivered in Jul 2022 due to the war. I have emailed Igor a few times and got updates and understood the situation due to the war. The audio quality and comfort of the headphones are excellent for their price. They are easy to drive and both quality and punch are amazing. Highly recommended. 👏👍❤️

    It's actually plastic, not carbon fiber. It's very convincing for plastic though. Probably cause the maker works in plastic manufacturing.

    • @VerumAudio
      @VerumAudio 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yes, it is glass fiber reinforced ABS plastic. With this material I can achieve thin wall in cups. And with a thin walls I'll have more room for driver+reduce weight. In fact wood milling will be even cheaper in such quantities as mine, but only plastic has benefits I've just explained.

      Hello, could you please tell me what kind of music you listen to (as in the format, mp3, flac or something else) and trough what device (laptop, phone or something else). I really want to get these, but feel like it would be a waste if i get them and use them with something like a phone. I dont know much about audio, and i want to make sure how it is that people are supposed to "run" these headphones. A reply isnt imperative, yet i would highly appreciate it if you would reply, thank you.

      @@SyntaxError-nz4kg These are amazingly good with a phone, but they are much better with proper audio gear. Best sound I have ever heard(not an experienced audiophile though). I run them with the THX AAA 789 which is probably one of the best pairs, but I am sure you can drive them with something that is a lot cheaper. They sound great on phone too so don't worry about it. Considering they are open, don't expect them to isolate the outside world though.

    Hello Mr. Tharbamar, I like your speaker reviews, so I have a warm request to advise me on the issue of replacing the Denon RCD-M41 speakers for the better at a price of up to $ 250 - $ 300. Is the Klipsch R-41M a good choice, has 2 outputs of 30W, plus a pre-amp output for a subwoofer? I am listening softly
    (baroque music, Chopin, electronic music with space and air, female voices, e.g. Kate Bush), in a 19 square meter soundproofed bedroom. Thank you Tom, B.

    Hi, so im new to the audiophile world, and because im thinking of ordering the Verum One's, i wanted to ask if the ifi zen dac is gonna drive them well?, Because from what i read the impedance levels that the ifi zen dac can support are from 16-600 ohms, and the Verum One's have only 8ohms so there's a bit of impedance mismatch and im concerned about the quality of the sound, can anybody help me with this please?

    How do these headphones deal with rock and metal? I have spend a few days researching Senheisser HD600, HD650 and HD58x and I would have to get an amp. I've just learnt that Verum 1 exist and I could them drive them from a tiny SMSL DAC instead.

      If you don't care to wait a few weeks I can give you my impressions when mine arrive. Apparently though these are very similar to the Audeze LCD-2 with some extra high end.

    • @miranhalilovic4399
      @miranhalilovic4399 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have mine since October last year and I mostly listen to rock and metal. They do have some extra top end, but nothing to severe, to my ears they sound great, incredible detail, flat mids and great base extension (not elevated). You can drive them from a phone, but they greatly benefit from an amp especially one with low output impedance.

      I have a Zishan Z2 as the main player, a burson V5i is coming along as an op amp to put the cherry on the cake... There's a problem tough: the 100ohm impedance output (sigh 😞)
      I read on various forum that the previous verum 1 needed clean sources with rather low impedance outputs...
      Would my zishan still do the trick or should I buy something else with an impedance closer to 0.1 for the Mk2 of this planar?

    • @VerumAudio

      @@mattialemboluscari8774 Hi Mattio. I really doubt your player has 100 ohm of output impedance. I'm 99.9% sure it is much lower. Verum 1 are very easy to drive. Even my galaxy s10e drives them ok. But sure, as any good headphones Verums benefits from good amp.

    Rush? That's a niche taste. A little too old for them, lol. I find that most Rush fans are in that late 40 to mid-50 year old group. If you're a little older than that, not so much. So much else was happening in the 60s and 70s. OMG! SO MUCH MORE!
    $350 is a great price for planar mag. HPs. It's incredible what's happening in that sector these days!
    As for me. I burnt out on the HP scene years ago. Gave up, more or less. Have a bunch in the fold, mostly
    old stuff at this point: Sony 7506, AT M50s, Beyerdynamic DT990, Sennheiser HD600, and the AKG K701, or is it 702? Pretty much old studio HPs.
    May try some planars at some point, but still exhausted. I watch Z reviews and often fall asleep because there are just too many HPs these days and new ones EVERY DAY, lol!
