I ordered these headphones in Oct 2021 and got them delivered in Jul 2022 due to the war. I have emailed Igor a few times and got updates and understood the situation due to the war. The audio quality and comfort of the headphones are excellent for their price. They are easy to drive and both quality and punch are amazing. Highly recommended. 👏👍❤️
Hi George, Thanks for the review. The builder of the Verum 1 wrote this on another headphone forum: "Yes, glueing felt on magnets make sound better. It works simillar to Audeze fazors. There're 2 variants: 1. Use scissors and make 14 stripes of felt and glue them on double sided tape. 2. Buy self-adhesive felt. It is sold in many online and offline shops. 1 sheet should cost couple of dollars" Have you heard a pair of Verums with this mod? Thank you.
I was about to pull the trigger on these last November, but exactly at that time the Hifiman XS were released and went for them instead. No regrets!! With the Russian attack on Ukraine, I hope the maker of the Verum One is well..
Good review; I find these can's very good & for 349$ amazing! As for driving them - I've tried lots of gear with them including an old portable minidisc player; 8mw = 108db!
Happy to hear you are having fun! The trick with driving them is that at very loud volumes, the low impedance they have can feel like almost no load for the source, which can put it into overdrive, it is a tricky thing and most people simply won't bring them that loud for this to matter.
This is my favourite headphone. It sounds like a mixture of Sennh HD600 (frequency response) and Stax electrostatic (detail retrieval) . For 350$ it's marvellous. I'm not an audiophile; I'm easy to impress. 🥲
Please stay easy to impress and have fun! Those are some nice headphones, don't expect to get something better unless you spend much more, and that isn't even necessary to have fun! Just enjoy what you have and be happy!
I thoroughly enjoy my pair. I emailed Igor on 3/5 and heard back from him on the 3/13. "Igor, Hope all is well with you and your family. So sorry this is happening ☮wishing you strength and all the best. Cheers" His reply "Thanks for your support, I really do value it. I'm in the epicenter of russian invasion and the situation is unpredictable. If life will allow me - i'll be back to business after our victory. I'll announce that on my website. Right now, due to obvious reasons everything is stopped. Igor Verum Audio Kharkov, Ukraine."
Brother, everything I quote of the materials is from the official website, I doubt they would lie directly, I think the wood is some kind of heavily laquored wood. I have a pair of headphones with wood that has zero laquer, namely OLLO S5X, they look and sound awesome, but the wood scratches easily.
Verum Headphones slogan: "Come for the ugly headphones, stay for the racism". Seriously a simple google search will reveal a lot of nasty remarks made by the owner of this company. Real classy guy.
I've seen some users complaining about it, but I wanted to review the headphones because they are good price / performance ratio, and I personally saw absolutely no such remarks through my emails... I will not accuse other people of lying, but I cannot accuse the Verum owner of anything, he's been alright with me, absolutely no other talk than technical data and some words about music and bands, so in the communication he's been having with me, he was quite on point with all the conversation and always respectful. Maybe the company has two different guys who do mails? I am not sure, the mails I got were never signed with a name. But as a reviewer I can only review things I've seen, my mails are clean, the product is clean.
I also heard some things, but, things were okay for me, and he seemed like a realy chill and ok person when we spoke. I always go with reviewing the product, not the company, because you wouldn't want to know everything there is to know about sennheiser and FiiO 🥲
Don't buy, I ordered my headphones last year and they haven't been sent yet, Garuspik has promised to send them dozens of times and they haven't been sent. Don't waste his money, the man is not honest. :(
Woah, really sorry to hear about that. Since the company is from Ukraine, they might had had some delays in getting the materials as needed, but still good to know that waiting times nowadays are rather long

Hiii, I have not tried this mod, sounds pretty funky, but I wouldn't be able to follow it to the end, I'm not that great with DIY processes :(

Waiting for the Verum 2 review.
I will be working on it as soon as the new version is final, right now it is still in work

thanks for the review. A quick question, what are the amps & dacs used for the testing?
Hiii, i got a ton, but mostly portable music players like iBasso dx300 and astell Kern se180
Cool headphones !!!
Happy to hear you like them! Verum should be launching a new model soon as well!
Have you contacted Igor recently? Is he still working on them or is he just keeping his head down?
I have not, hope he is alright!

This is the kind of attitude I've been seeing on my mails as well!
👌
Happy to help!!
Titanium? I don't believe it... The wood isn't even wood, but plastic.

Sigva 🤣
Eyyy, sivga's a good one too!
@@AudiophileHeaven I agree 😁. Don't worry, good man, you are not only one, who says Sigva. There are MANY 😁. I like your reviews a lot!
Heard bad things about this company… like lousy warranty… and bad business practices…. Just passing on to the community….
