There's a decent synthpop song hidden in here somewhere. Yes it really drops the ball with the vocal work and the lyrics, which admittedly kill it somewhat. But as an actual tune, it's kind of alright.

The 80s is a minefield of bad music. People say that they love the decade musically, but it's very telling that it's the same couple of dozen songs everyone goes to and plays ad nauseum. Goodness me there was a lot of naff shite made back then that no radio DJ would touch with a barge pole.

Never heard this before and my instant reaction was "Did they do this on roller skates while dressed as trains?" Checking the dates I'm further convinced that this was indeed inspired - if that's the right word - by Starlight Express. It just screams Cheap Knockoff from start to finish.

Being a dedicated Dr Who viewer since I was 6. I have seen every episode of Dr Who as my PBS station showed current Dr Who episodes and another played the older seasons. I discovered this song years ago and now I can’t get enough of it!

I've never understood the fetishization of the worst aspects of Doctor Who...why do people continue to refer affectionately to, even almost celebrate them? I saw a video from a fairly recent con where attendees who had mentioned they wanted to be a companion one day were told to grab their ankle and scream for the Doctor...plus the way Susan was made to sprain her ankle in The Five Doctors for no other reason than to reference how it happened in her previous stories (except the show's moved on a bit, and the actress was twenty years older)...it's an aspect of the fandom that really kind of disturbs me.
Well, you have to be able to acknowledge the corny aspects of the show even if it's a show you love. I don't think that people are referring to them "affectionately" so much as they are just acknowledging the cheese and having a good laugh about it. Same reason you probably looked up this video.

There's always been a bit of a problem with this in classic Doctor Who.
Watching that clip show from the early 90s which was broadcast before the airing of Planet of the Daleks still annoys me today. Having that talking faceless thing called "the anorak" with a Brummie accent and showing all the shittiest clips of classic. It was so stupid and felt like they were putting a boot into the fans that were still interested 4 years after the cancellation.

If there's a year off you need to bring doctor who back with something new, something that's going to get the audience back, not the same writing with no development...
