I was there. What a fine weekend in North Adams. Sarah's performance along with Dispatch and Trombone Shorty were among my favorite. Thank you for uploading :-)
Sarah, just discovered you today. Please don't give up this incredible gifted talent you share. It is as good as Joan Baez in her early beginnings except you have more timbre and emotion in your treatment of song covers than anyone I've known. I suspect you have some original songs you have not shared and I want to encourage you to get them to us. As a writer, I know how hard it is to think "is it good enough?" But what I know is those songs weren't there in the musical universe until you put them down to music and created them. Please share and keep sharing. Thanks.
Buy her albums!! Buy her albums!! I also recently discovered this amazing musician, Sarah Jarosz. Several of her albums have completely blown me away. (Most of the music is also available on TH-cam.) And she writes much, or most, of what she performs. What gifts she has. Then again, she has only won four Grammys, so far.
Guys--great song, great version, thank you. But to "give a nod to" means to make reference to, to acknowledge. Covering a song is more than giving a nod to it.
Her voice is so much more powerful than it used to be! What a giant she has become.
This is how John will continue to live on.
Love all the covers!
Memory forever! His songs won't die.
The finest rendition of this song. Period.
A heart-rending version of a beautifully poignant song. RIP JP
Beautiful rendition, voice, guitar, pedal steel, everything. Just beautiful and sadly timely still.
A brilliant song performed with great talent and interpretation.
Thank you Sarah for your tasteful rendition and keeping John in our hearts xo
She is a treasure...
SJ is a treasure. Soooooo much talent!
John will be proud!
A song which remains forever current.
Performed exquisitely by someone with skill and with love.
John would love this.
What a sound. Voice. Instrument. Perfect. Thanks
Just a fine job ....loved it and I am quite sure John would be pleased as well!
Always tears with this song. You just know he got that story first hand from someone.
Me too, lol
Great song, and a very talented lady
What a beautiful performance, you killed it
My first time to hear her. I love her voice and her style. John would be proud of your version !! ❤
one of John's best - beautifully performed - thank you
I’ve never heard this song until now. Absolutely beautiful.
Sarah plays an octavemandolin, with very special tuning and she really lets it have its voice. Fellow named Fletcher Brock built it I believe.
Totally Awesome performance of this timeless song. Beautiful!
Very true Doris. Best regards from Less Than Face Productions.
Can't wait to see you live...Sarah.
John would be Proud ❤
A song that touches the hearts of those that have experienced it. Beautiful
And those who haven't! Love this. ❤
I've always liked her voice. Here she sings with power and conviction.
Fabulous version of this John Prine song!!

Here's love to all unwed fathers, and much love to one in particular!🎈🎈

That instrumental riff between verses was just great as well!
Thank you John Prine.
Really NICE voice
Fabulous . . ..
Best version
Doesn’t get any better 😊
beautiful
Dayum!
Just terrific. So glad the brilliance of John Prine is being noted (pun? Lol) by the new generation of artists. 💔J.P. rip
Excellent! Excellent!
This sounds great!
Incredible. Stunning work.
Saw her perform this at the Royale in Boston last month. Glad to see it online.

Best ❤
Awesome cover!!!
She covered this well.
John is looking down smiling
Awesome....Wimberly Girl...:)
Nice
4:30 The nuance of her strumming moving up the neck is appreciated.
Great pedal steel player.
As well done as expected. Such a good song. An 8 string guitar? The best picture of her that I have seen, by the way.
Octave Mandolin made for Sarah on a Martin body, I think
Thanks. I had not seen one like it before.
Octave mandolin built by luthier Fletcher Brock in Seattle, WA.
Any more from this show? 🥺
Superb interpretation. Lyrics cut like a knife…
Great cover. Can anyone tell me what instrument she’s playing and where I can find one?
Octavemandolin by Fletcher Brock.
@@skiyup3389 thank you
On the otherwise off town
If you can't feel this you have no heart.....
Any idea what guitar Sarah's playing here?
Octave Mandoline, Fletcher Brock. :)
Forgive me, but what kind of 8 stringed guitar is that?
Octave Mandoline, Fletcher Brock. :)

Looks like Dave Rawlings guitar
8 strings! A mando cello or something of the sort. Not a guitar
Very very. Sad. Reality
Nope it’s a mandolin
in disguise
octave mandolin
Is there a more poignant sound on earth than a soulfully played pedal steel? I think not.
