Sir, I watched your video earlier today and I just finished cleaning the glass window in my oven door. It was fabulous! Thank you! I let it sit for 45 minutes. The toothbrush worked great in getting up most of the gunk. I used a sponge with a plastic mesh cover that worked very well on the rest of it. After wiping it off thoroughly, I used a razor scraper to remove the remaining very few little stubborn dots of gunk. It looks like I have never used my oven! You're a genius--thanks so much!
If you leave it for a few hours and let it dry, you shouldn’t have to scrub. Also can use spray bottle with vinegar to wipe down afterwards. It will remove any residue
It really works. My door was as dirty as his and now it's spotless. I did have to use a razor blade on the really nasty areas. The project took one hour. Thank you so very much
I'm just now seeing this in 2024, I am so grateful I found this video. This method actually worked. My arms are sore but thats ok. My oven looks like new. Thank You for sharing.
Thanks for the info my small toaster oven glass door was nasty i followed the recipe for cleaning and wow it got 97 percent of all the grease and i can see through my door again thanks
I see that you have lined the bottom of the oven with aluminum foil. I always did that, until I used my parent’ new oven. Embossed on the bottom is a warning not to use foil on the bottom. We both switched to oven mats. A little more expensive than foil, but won’t damage the oven.
Yes @dale having looked at a couple these oven cleaning videos l noticed they all lined the bottom of the oven and l remember when mine was new it the oven leaflet said DO NOT let any foil touch the bottom or the sides. I think with electric ovens the foil acts as some kind of conductor and prob can set oven alight. I think l will just clean mine.
I buy silicone mats made for barbecue grills. They come in a roll with 5 sheets. You can cut them to size and they are good for the oven too. Good up to 500 F for under 12.00 dollars. But this is still a great method to clean the areas the other protective mimics can't cover. Much better than toxic easy off getting all over the place.
Thank you very much I didn't know how to clean my oven but I'll go buy some baking soda dish liquid and vinegar here I bought some SOS pads and oven cleaner and it's kind of hard to get it clean but you did it the easy way so thank you very much I really appreciate that have a very blessed day amen
This was just great - you explained things so well and the way it was filmed, made everything super easy to follow - thank you. I had been dreading this task, but feel happy I now can do it myself! Thank you!
It helps to clean the door before it gets this bad. At some point it's like trying to sand off baked on enamel on your stovetop. It's baked. I wonder if you heat the oven, get the door toasty, and then use easy off on it, if that would be easier.
Just put a cup of household ammonia inside the oven overnight. It will come off like magic in the morning! The fumes loosen all the cooked on grime. Much less elbow grease!
my glass door on the oven has grime between the glass .so far I have just been told to take the door off and dissasemble. that is past my skill set.ugh! so I o the toweltrick over the handle until I learn how to disassemble the door
Steel wool will certainly scratch the glass. Professional window cleaners know this trick: Use bronze wool. It is used to take paint off of glass without damage.
you seemed to opt out of using the toothbrush pretty quickly and just went with the sponge. Was it a regular sponge or one with an abrasive end like a 3m (green) cloth?
Toothbrush? Save yourself some time and use a plastic scrub pad. A single-edge razor blade in a holder, available at every hardware store, removes the toughest deposits. Always hold the scraper at a very low angle.
If you think that's frugal, oughta see me pops. Back in them good ol days when zebras was zebras and elephants were amphibians, he useta reuse his bog rolls. Mad man! Times were tough, you gots to get tougher. Nothing wrong with being frugal!

I'm going to do it also. I heard that it also cleaned the bathtub really good for stains around the rim and it also unclogs the sink and bathtub!

Have fun
How did the metal part come out?
In England we have a thing called a Brillo pad and it takes minutes but if you wiped it everytime you use the oven it don't get like that
I agree
What happened to " just leave it soak for 30 mins and wipe off?"
Maybe just needed to sit longer or maybe just a tad more vinegar which does a lot of work with the acidity. Still much safer than Easy Off.
Just put a cup of household ammonia inside the oven overnight. It will come off like magic in the morning! The fumes loosen all the cooked on grime. Much less elbow grease!
This is no toxic chemical.
What about in beetween the glass?
My question too
How do I clean the stove top coil?
I don't think you need to clean the coil because when it gets hot it will clean itself.
my glass door on the oven has grime between the glass .so far I have just been told to take the door off and dissasemble. that is past my skill set.ugh! so I o the toweltrick over the handle until I learn how to disassemble the door
Se ve limpio pero como hizo para que quedara limpio por dentro????
Sorry, I don't speak Spanish.
Great video and tips

Is the toothbrush really necessary? You only used it a little bit.
Just for getting into the small crevices.
Very helpful. Thank you.

What about in between the glass?
Take out the top screws and repeat proceess

I use a safety razor blade instead of a toothbrush. It works much better!
Thanks for the comment
Follow what this person said. Trust me it was the only way, and glad i found her comment.
use either 000 or 0000 steel wool, it will clean any of that crud off the glass
I stick with the sponge because steel wool may scratch the glass. Thanks for the comment!

I used the scrub buddies sponge, which had the green abrasive in the back. The sponge seemed to work better than the toothbrush. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing !
You're welcome
What about the inside of the glass.
You buy another oven....ymmud.
Great job.
Thanks!
Great video. Are you Chinese. Just curious. I will try this method on my oven
No, not Chinese. Thanks for watching!
Thank you!! I'll try this today.

Who do clean between the glass door
I do. Thanks for watching!
I have no Dawn dishsoap, but I did use an orange Palmolive grease cutting dishsoap & it's barely removing anything.
Does it have to the Dawn?
I've tried with different soaps and dawn seemed to work best for me.
great tip. thx
Thanks
Thanks!
Thank you so much for supporting my small channel!
If you don't want to do all that scrubbing just use easy off oven cleaner.
This is an alternative, non-toxic way, to clean the oven door. Thanks for the comment!
I used easy off left it on over night and no dice.

Degreaser and a magic eraser takes less time than this video
If you want to do the easy way, use toxic chemicals! Thanks for the comment!
Decreased isn't a chemical
eventually it will all come out with enough scrubbing regardless of the cleaner you use.
It took quite a bit of time to scrubbed off the grease. Thanks for the comment!
Use a widget its much faster and not as messy.
Thanks for watching!
Much more simple, try ashes with a cleane wipe.
That may work, too.
This does not work. We let it soak for 1hr and no amount of baked on grease came off.
Yes, I did a lot of scrubbings to get the tough grease off, and it worked. If you want the grease to come out easy, just use chemical.

Not with built up grease.

Please stop telling people that vinegar, baking soda and Dawn soap will clean stuff. It is simply a junior high school science experiment.
