Those foam patterns looked like prints from a wood-cut. Pretty amazing.
Wow great patterns. Shooting like that can be fun. Thanks Adam, great video.
One can preach about letting go of expectations and opening your eyes to the possibilities, but this episode simply demonstrates the practice, and the rewards. From the opening scene to the final images, quite an arc.
What michaelmckeag960 said! Great modeling of working with what you've got...maybe start with 'meh' and end with 'yeah'. Motivating Adam, thanks.
Lovely abstract compositions…nice work!
Many thanks!
LOVE your more recent years content, it is great to see you as you are and the incredible creativity you have rather being simply a foil to others. ....
Adam, you do so many things well, but in particular I enjoy your posting of both the raw and edited versions of your selects. That alone makes each vid worth aq like and subscribe.
The different patterns in the rocks, then water and then swirls were quite interesting. It amazes me that when we go out with a bit of openness to what might be instead of being focussed on what we think it should be, we find so much more than we might have otherwise engaged with. It does unlock a sense of creative play. Makes me feel like a kid again! Play, wonder, creativity, joy. . . . .
Very, very beautiful, Adam, thank you ever so much! I love your images of rock-structures and watersurfaces. The edits are great, very subtle and effective at the same time.
Wow love all those shots but especially like the swirling water pics, graphic art wonders.
Many thanks!
Love those water themed images, especially the swirls towards the end of the video. Nice work, Adam! 👍
Many thanks!
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade - or in this case, abstracts! Gorgeous! And the rainbow was a real bonus. I loved what you said about not always being successful because that's how we improve.
Water is my favorite camera subject, Listening to waterfalls brings me towards heaven. 🙂
Great Abstract images Adam. I really like the water reflections and those water bubbles images. Another riveting video from you (and Brian). One day we'll get to shoot together.. I hope ;)
Important lesson and some excellent images. Almost didn't get to see them...your tiredness in the first two minutes was so contagious that I almost fell asleep!
Yet again I have to say thank you for giving me some really interesting ideals when out trying to take pics off waterfalls and struggling, great vid, and thanks
Happy to help!
Thanks for the vlog; irrespective of you intro , 'rivetting', 😂 enjoyed it.
Wow, wow! Adam, absolutely loved your abstract rock and water images. These are some of my favourite images from you. It looks like you have creatively played around with colour and white balance in post and not just by simply pushing up saturation. This adds to the appeal. One of the great things about the light being less than optimal for the bigger landscape is it forces you to try something different. This is a good lesson to us all.
The pattern in the rocks were very nice, love those colors.
hitting the bubbly again ? :) Super shots, like always. Love water and rocks as a pairing...
I love the water shots. I've been shooting a lot of water bird photos and the colors and patterns of the water is a key feature to a good photo! I'm always surprised at how water renders in photos. Great video as always Adam!
Love that one at 13:10. Perfect image for the square ratio.
If you are a fan, all your vids are riveting. I am a fan.
Nice Adam. Inspiring. Our camera club does a quarterly creative challenge and this quarter it’s water. Love those water pattern shots. It’s given me some ideas. Thanks!!
Very interesting images, thanks!
A great lesson in this video Adam...along with fabulous images! Those of us who don't live anywhere near a beautiful waterfall like this may only get one opportunity to visit such a place. It the light's lousy, don't give in to the frustration. Do what Adam Gibbs would do and come back home with some special images! Thanks!
Love the abstract rock set! Some of my all time favorites from you.
Great content gentlemen... I can relate to this situation, grand visions of whatever, only to shoot something completely different!
The closeups on the rocks & the swirling foam in the water, great stuff...
Vermont here,
Bill...❤
Love the abstracts....
Water bubbles are really nice.
Indeed the swirling patterns are amazing - especially like the last.
Thanks for the morning inspiration Adam.
Any time
Great reminder to work all subjects at a location. Thank you
You bet!
Love the abstracts, thanks for sharing.
Loved the pattern shots. Each one looks like a little town or city taken from a satellite 😍
Stunning set of images. Thanks for sharing.
One of your best. You keep surprising me.big fan👍
Thank you so much 😀
Another great vid mate. I’ve had enough of your creative juices thanks very much 😂❤😊
🤔🤐🤭
Hehe getting a bit messy👍🏼
Great lessons in natural labstract
Shout out for Lee filters. I used it too :). I actually used the same tripod head as well. haha
Nice photos Adam, quick question, i'm having problems with the background waterfall noise on my videos..........how have you isolated your voice from the background on these?
External mic, keep it as close to your mouth as possible
Nice work mate 👍😉
Cheers Bri!
Why did you chose ISO 400 in the pattern images? I noticed the shutter speeds of 1/30 to 1/50 at f16. I could ask the same question about those very nice water flow details at ISO 250.
No particular reason they are just random. In many cases the iso, shutter speed and f stop stop are not really that important as long as the exposure is correct. With the GFX iso 100 to 800 all looks pretty much the same.

👍
Do you have a new tripod? Didnt you use FLM anymore?
For now yes.
@@QuietLightPhoto What is the new one?
Paderns in the rocks. What’s a padern? 😅 great video, as always.
Odd..You said " rubbish" about a brand of filters. How long has the rubbish company been around?
Looks like your nose resides at higher angle
Most definitely
