Yesterday afternoon a friend's children ages 5 and 8 prepared the dough as described above. I just turned on the oven to pre-heat and expect great bread. Thanks for the video.
NOT PUTTING THIS DOWN - no knead bread is quite good. However, many people seem to shy away from other breads which require kneading. If you are one of them, I urge you to try some of those as well. You just might find, as I did, that kneading the dough can be fun. Getting it smooth and stretchy can give a feeling of accomplishment, and it is not hard to do.
I did exactly this and the parchment paper baked onto the bread bottom [yes, it was "parchment", not "wax" paper]. I had to scrape paper bits out of cracks and off the bottom - ugh. Otherwise my bread turned out the same as shown here.
Oh noo! I'm so sorry to hear that brysimm! That has never happened to me (with this recipe, at least) but I can imagine what a disappointment it was. 😫 If you dare to retry this, perhaps dusting the bottom with extra flour/cornmeal and maybe crinkling the paper so that it's not so jagged would help? I hope a nice loaf is in your future, regardless!
Hi Berthilda - I have not tried it myself without a Dutch oven, but I'm sure you can. The Dutch oven does help it "steam" in its initial stage though, so the end result might turnt out a bit differently.

Aw, I hope you all enjoyed it! Please report back, thanks David! :)
@@HanaAsbrink They turned out great. I baked them in a DO with two different times. Thanks.
I like this video. The explanation, the music, the visual and easy to read subtitles.
Thanks so much Instatntphojo!
EXCELLENT SHORT VIDEO VERY SELF EXPLANATORY/ THANKS FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION
Thanks so much for watching! Stay safe.
I like the parchment use. Less flour mess with not having to flour a cotton towel.
Thanks Billie! I agree with you, take care.
Thank you, nice demonstration! And very calming & relaxing too lol.
Haha, thanks so much, Mic! Glad you found it to be both helpful and relaxing. :)

I totally agree with you, mothman! Sometimes you just want to space out and roll/knead some dough. ;) Take care.
This works, but you do need a Dutch oven to get the crust nice and crisp.
