Thanks for this. It worked a treat. I had a track that I was importing in arrangement view and it was 126 bpm. Live 11 imported it and determined 120 and the beats were just slightly off. I set the global tempo to 126 and turned warp on and off as you suggest, with warp mode set to complex, and it worked perfectly. The down beats are absolutely bang on the bar. Thanks for your useful video.
Thank you sooooo much! All the clips change to whatever tempo you assign before importing them. The transients no longer line up with the Beat-Time ruler; but that is easy to correct: set Fixed Grid, hold down "Alt" key and drag warp marker at start until the transients line up with the ruler. Make sure no other warp markers appear in the track when doing this.
bro do u know u solved my month long biggg headache in just 🤌 2 sec??? damn i watched 2 long videos and none of their complex ways came to rescue. big thanks 🙏 ps- its my 1st ever comment in youtube world //("maybe")
thank you for the kind comments. I was shocked myself when i figured it out how easy it was to do this. I recommend checking out a course i made on audio editing to help you take your audio skills to another level - www.musiccourseonline.com/learnaudioediting
@@TheBinaryWolf so firstly i put in an audio file from a different source, ye? It was all fucked and wrong. Clicked on it and the button mentioned in the video. You can click it once or twice and the bpm should be right from then on. The sound was back to normal then. Not sure if you can alter it to your desired bpm but the point is it gies back to its original form which was all that I needed. If you need it in a different bpm you should be able to change said bpm below and the track should follow it since it is an audio file. But depending on the file it can be fucky.
i am just coming from Reason+ trying ableton, in regards to working with samples and getting them tuned...1 - 0 for reason. i took me an hour and ableton kept messing up, i need to come here to find out you have to do a silly trick first before it works....its pretty lame.
glad it helped. i made a course about how to take audio editing skills to the next level if this might be of interest - musiccourseonline.com/learnaudioediting
Thanks, nice workaround. Man this problem, drove me crazy! Another thing you can do is switch off warp then resample your audio into a new channel at the correct bpm. Why Live do this? There should be an option to tell live what bpm your audio is if needed.
Nice! Worked perfectly here too. I am using Live 11. Did you report this to Ableton? The algorithms are clearly able to do this correctly and I cannot quite understand why it shouldn't work in session view. I have been struggling with one file tonight, but when I pasted it in the arrangement view, it was suddenly correct (unfortunately, I don't remember if I toggled Warp or not). Anyway, after moving the clip back to session view, it was correct. However, after deleting the clip/file and importing once more to session view, the warping this time was correct!/? Is it the auto warp/method=Complex that makes this work or is there some bug here?

Cheers mate, was on a rush for an order and this offered a quick solution.
All done in time. All the best!
G'day mate! Did the steps actually change the tempo? For me, the figure in the BPM field changed but not the audio clips.

Does it not work the same if you were to turn off auto warp from the start in preferences?
Thanks man, you”ve helped me🤝

Is it a problem with only Ableton? Do other DAWs work in a different way?
Logic has a different way of dealing with such things. I guess every DAW has its own mechanism
