  • Finally time to make a real video. After 3 weeks at Freightliner i got my truck back. The downside is they say they would have to charge me at least $1,350 to re-drill and wire in new lights in my bumper and I only had 16. Well since I had to do myself I decided to go for the gusto and install 48. It was a long process but finally got it done. At the end i have a quick slide show and final video of the end result .

    If drill chips are not being removed , more pressure and apply motor oil to cool the drill bit !

    • @TheTourettesTrucker
      @TheTourettesTrucker  ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess that would be better. I would spray wd40 on the big every so often to cool it down.

    • @vicpetrishak7705
      @vicpetrishak7705 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheTourettesTrucker Motor oil will do a better job than WD40 . Oil has a tendency to stick better to the cutting surfaces . Place your foot on the ground and place a 3 foot 2X4 in front of your toe and leverage the wood against the drill for motor drill point pressure . The lights do look cool .

      @@jacobsullivan9920 not hard at all I just had to take a tester to find the blinker lights off the other one and tap in to it. I just took a level to found the true top of the fender. Took a tap measure to get true left/right center and drilled the hole. These fenders are actually plastic so easy to drill. Make sure you use heat shrink tubing or heat shrink crimp connectors.
