I love the energy between you two and this is a very good detailed video. I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my third child but it’s been 11 years so it’s like I’m starting all over again and I’m definitely leaning towards purchasing the Halo bassinest. Thank you for this video and blessings to both of you and your little titan 💙
Aw thanks Kim - congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm so glad this review + video was helpful! We seriously had no idea which one to choose - so we figured this could be helpful for others deciding too! Now that our newborn is 2 months old - I have to say, we are really happy with the Halo! He sleeps in it every night and most naps too!
Julia Mignoli yes! It can be exactly at the height of our bed which is what we did for the first few weeks when our newborn came home. Now we have it slightly away from our bed but at the same height. The swivel feature was KEY in those first few weeks I have to say!
Christine Benton Ahhh awesome! We have ours, just have to set it up. Very exciteddd! Would you ever bed share with your baby? Meaning fall asleep (safely, of course) with baby in your armpit area?
Needed this! I was contemplating between the two bassinets and at the end of the day I just want something safe & stable for baby boy 🩵 thank you guys!
Awesome!! I'm so glad you found this video helpful. They actually have since updated their model since we got ours in 2020. This is their current model which has some additional updated features: bit.ly/3UngiDQ
I'm so glad you're enjoying these videos! I know I watched SO many other pregnancy and baby related videos when I was pregnant - so I wanted to create the same!! You're so close!
I’m a ftm & I ended up getting the halo bassinest. I got it on the target website it was only $191 plus I had an additional 15% off with it being on the registry
We went to once upon a child to find some clothes for our baby and we ended up finding a halo bassinet essentia for 100$ and I had to get it lol , we took it apart and used baby detergent and vinegar to clean it all up and it honestly looks brand new 😭 I’m really happy about it (:
@@lisaniomi2956 that is AMAZINGGG!! We actually got one on FB marketplace for free first and it was in good shape - but I drove an hour to get it.... and came home and it didn’t have the legs HAHA!! So I couldn’t use it 😂😂 I figured that’s what I got for getting something free. Maybe a month or two later the guy messaged me and said he found the legs and realized he forgot to lay them out for me when I picked up. So funny!! Figured I had to share!!
@@ChristineBentonFitness My bed is a king size and its the mattress base & then the actual mattress that gives some height. Definitely going with the Halo bassinet. I was a bit questionable from one review indicating it wasn't sturdy enough. However, you & your husband consigned a great compare/contrast. Helped relieve my worries!!
That makes sense! We find it super sturdy! I also really think the height is key and when we were first home, getting in and out of the bed was a challenge so the fact that it swivels was very important! I didn't know how much I'd need that until we brought him home! Glad the video helped show you the options! I also made a complete Halo video in case you didn't see that: th-cam.com/video/AZPVne6hRlk/w-d-xo.html
I hope this video helped a bit! We have a pack n play as well it’s just on a different floor from our bedroom where our little one sleeps. So that’s helpful for us
The baby delight won for us. Thanks so much for the comparison. I was really torn between the two but this video reassured me that for us, we made the right decision. 😊
Great informative video! Husband is way too cheeky for me but I love how much fun he's having. I also love how you guys make it a point to remind people that it's not THE BEST that we are looking for-- it's the best FOR YOU.
Oh for sure! What we learned is that every bassinet can work! It’s just what works best for your scenario! And sometimes you can plan all you want and you never know what works for your baby. We ended up loving the Halo and used it for several months.
Thank you for this comment. You are correct The Baby Delight is for use up to 20 lbs or 5 months. I must have had "pregnancy brain" when writing down our notes for that section. My apologies!
Thanks a lot you have no ideas how much this helps. I was soo confused between these two. Km def getting halo one now! Also why didnt you consider mamaroo? I personally didnt find it worth the price but would love to know ur opinion.
Oh gosh I’m so glad it was helpful!! The mamaroo is the swing right?? I never knew they had a bassinet sleeper. So these were the only two brands I constantly saw + wanted to compare. The Halo was what I figured we would get, but loved the look of the other when I solely saw it online. Really glad we tried them both out. We are still using the Halo daily for all naps and bedtime.
No, this is our second & a rainbow baby. I had a traditional bassinet for my first and she rarely used it, it took up a lot of space, it was difficult to get to her from the bed (I had to stand up to get her, which in the middle of the night is annoying)
@@kimeberly371 Congratulations on your rainbow baby!! And yeah that makes sense. Having something you can move + swivel we found very helpful to navigate around the bassinet in the bedroom (especially at night!!)
Christine Benton We were gifted the halo, but I was contemplating getting a side car sleeper that attaches to our bed. I think we are going to just try the halo out and see how we like it! 36 weeks along 🥳
Christine Benton I do like it! So far, minus the actual baby lmao I thought for some reason I could lower it enough so the top of the halo would be flush with the top of our mattress, but it doesn’t go that low. That’s okay though, I’m still excited to try it out!
Julia Mignoli ohh! I see! We didn’t try doing that - we mainly wanted the bassinet base to be in line with our bed. Since the one sidebar lowers it makes it easy to get the little one out and also being able to see baby at night vs being lower than your mattress.
@@ChristineBentonFitness first time mom! Due in September! My husband and I were contemplating between the baby delight and the halo but after watching your video I realized that the baby delight will be too low for our bed
Aw congratulations!! Totally know the feeling of not knowing which one to go with. I loved the idea of the Baby Delight, but practically the Halo worked much better for us. We used it for every single sleep/nap the first few months with our little boy! Definitely worth it in my opinion.
I’m so glad it was helpful!! And no we didn’t experience it tilting at all, although I do know what you’re talking about because when we brought our little boy home my husband thought it was tilted too - But our little guy just moved to his one side no matter where you put him or what direction haha. After now using the Halo for 4 months we are SO happy we got it. The swivel was probably the most important feature now looking back
The pound limit doesn't really matter, my 2 year old is 30lbs and he's average. That's deceiving. It's really when they start to push up that you should move them. Or whatever the other criteria is. Don't look at the weight.

@@ChristineBentonFitness have not tried yet …the baby is coming in November …but hopefully it will work out ! Enjoy the baby and the bassinet !💪🏼💪🏼👶🏻👶🏻
This must be your first kid because this is not insightful at all…practicing with a stuffed doll is not at all a good comparison to what you’ll be picking up in bed. Getting a 7-11lb baby out of the halo from your bed is way more difficult and the bar doesn’t bend down easily. Running into those sturdy halo legs or stubbing your toe on them is the worst and going around it with a baby is not fun at all. The amount of space the whole thing takes up is so much even though it swivels. If you’re recovering from a c-section, you wouldn’t even be able to move the halo yourself either.
Yes this video was made before having my first baby, so I was doing the best I could with what I would expect. I just had my second baby back in January and still used the Halo bassinet shown in this video. I do agree you can't physically move the entire bassinet easily, but I actually really like it overall! I did not have a c-section with either baby, so I realize that could be different. Just hoping this video shares one perspective that could help before purchasing.
I was trying to decide between these exact two bassinets. Thank y’all so much for your great comparison!
