"You can tell its an aspen, because of the way it is." That is my favorite line from any video ever, and I love pulling on the tourists I see on the chairlift.
Types of fun are subjective but at the same time universal. Just remember that Type 3 fun exists too! No fun at all 😂 It’s sometimes best to just accept that you’re having a type 3 kind of day and get through it!!
Matt Dennison - Second Time Bike Packer Connor Stefanison - Just got Shot by a Banana Chris Hatton - We Just Met This Guy Kevin George - Freshly Shammy Buttered Andrew Santos - Most Likely to be Eaten by a Grizzly
This had me smiling through the whole video...you guys have WAY too much fun! Bikes, drones, GoPros, camping and friends. Who could ask for more? Thanx for sharing!
Hey guys, I'm a talent scout for the New England Patriots. I see you have an incredible arm; what a spiral! We would love to invite you to next season tryouts. DM me.
5:17 those are not claw marks, that is where elk have been rubbing the velvet of their antlers. Bears have five claws, so you'd see that, and it would be at about 2m up the tree, and it wouldn't be an aspen.
A few years ago my brother and his crew, and my crew met up in Algonquin to do a 20km canoe/portage trip over a long weekend. There was an .. incident .. with my team and I had to drive someone to the nearest town, leaving my brother and his team to head out to try to score the best backcountry site (first come, first serve). I gave him a GMRS radio and we hoped we'd find each other. By the time we got under way (calling every hour on the hour), they must have been 5-10km ahead of us. No contact. We kept pressing forward, but our hopes were fading that we'd spend the weekend together. Eventually we got lost trying to find the final portage, and were about to give up. The sun was fading, and I poured over maps, when I saw what I was sure was the portage trail. We got back in our canoe and turned a corner, and there it was. 800 meters later, we emerged and I made one final call on the radio, expecting static. But, suddenly I heard his voice "holy shit you're alive!" What a rush. :) We got the coordinates of their campsite, and an hour later were pulling the canoe up to their roaring campfire. A tough day of uncertainty evolved into an epic weekend.
Man that shot at 12:53 makes me miss living in the interior so much, Mexico is great but can’t wait to get home one day! Thanks for another amazing video!!!
I always think having more than 2 bike mate on a bikepacking trip is better. Especially when you're filming because you can have a guy carry foods and camping equipment, a guy carry filming equipment, a guy carry clothes, etc.
You guys kill it! Always great content. Those marks on the trees are actually rubbings from antlers done by deer, elk, or moose. Usually done when they are trying to get the felt off on their antlers.
This is what I love about mountain biking. Not having the most expensive bike or the nicest gear, but the ability to experience nature and go places you will remember forever.
looks like it was fucking epic, got the "old" slash.. yeah its long and everything, but its a good climber and not that heavy ;) bet its great on this kind of stuff
Same than Le Mimsey: got the older slash 2020 with an aluminium frame. I did the Chamonix-Zermatt traverse with this bike (6 days of bikepacking in the alps with food for 2 days max). It wasn't an issue at all (as long as you manage to be as light as possible). Only problem I can think about would be to bikepack with a seatbag on this bike: the big wheels and the travel of the bike would make it almost impossible.
Great video guys. I really like that you took your bear spray serious by trying to have it more accessible, could save your life. Also, hammocks, thumbs up. Great country.
Would love to hear more about each bikers set up. Looks like they are all on enduro bikes too which is badass! Connor is riding the same Kona I have which got me fired up. Sick video dudes!
Great adventure!!! Funny as well...Isaw you in another video that you all eat very well during trips!!! Amazing!! Greeting from the Basque Country(Spain).
Nice edit guys ! Our son, back in Belgium, spotted us in your video - we met you at the bottom of deer pass coming from Waren pass on our 1400km backroad bike loop - Keep the way you embrace life. 😉
I want to get into doing weekend trips like this. I’m starting to assemble my gear, but it would be great if you guys could talk about your favorite pieces and things you consider must haves.
This is so satisfying to watch, I live for this kind of cinematography, wicked shots! Makes me want to quit my job and do all these kind of things, if only I am not broke and have to support my family jeez haha 😅 This may sound cliché but you guys-your videos/work inspires me to live and strive hard in life. Rock on!!! haha
A trail that I guarantee all mountain bikers will have trouble on is the 30 mile waldo lake trail in bend Oregon its rough if you go a certain way, you have not mountain biked until you have done waldo lake on a hardtail. Enjoy
Great job filming the adventure and telling the story! Just finished my second bike packing trip and I know how hard it is to carry all that weight on your back.
This was just the film I needed to watch to bring me out of my ‘Friday end of week’ bad mood. Cheers guys! P.S. Anyone know what those yellow bike bags were? They looked so nice.
Super Top video jajajajaj. Now I feel big motivated to get on the trail myself, what gets me going the longest while bike is *Delta Parole* or other rokk music!
Look at all the bark beetle damage in the forest. All the dead trees is the reason you should always purchase your fire wood on site even if it's more expensive.
"We arrived at a lake in the middle of nowhere" surrounded by picnic tables, a man made dock, chopped wood, trash cans, and a cabin. You guys are truly out there hahaha looks like fun.
Wow, fantastic trip, thanks for the virtual journey. I'm thinking better time would have been made without the time, effort and weight going into video production, but this would leave the rest of us out. But, it is possible to do these things without drones.
I don't know what chain ring you guys are running, but so many stock bikes come with 32 or even 34 tooth. I recommend trying a 28t - with a 10t cog on a 29" wheel it is enough to get up to speed (with bike parks being an exception maybe), and that 28x51/52 is nice and easy on the climbs ;)
"You can tell its an aspen, because of the way it is." That is my favorite line from any video ever, and I love pulling on the tourists I see on the chairlift.
It’s a meme 👍

Dropped a like as soon as I heard that

Lol, "What if the bears say hey back" favorite line so far.
In mother russia, the bear scares you away.
@@kool_dud8547 Is mother Russia car drives you
Type 2 fun. Going to remember that and teach it to my Scout Troop when they are having type 2 fun and complaining a bit.

It’s sometimes best to just accept that you’re having a type 3 kind of day and get through it!!
Type 1 fun: You enjoy while you're doing it
Type 2 fun: You enjoy it once you've finished
Type 3 fun: You need at least a year to appreciate it.
@@robertstriedieck2133 I heard type 3 fun is just not fun at all haha

You guys never fail to output amazing content, was a whole experience just watching this.

I don’t know why, but this is one of my favourite TH-cam videos of all time, I could literally watch it all day.
I love how at 17:00 you ACTUALLY captured how reaching the top feels with that amazing music. Well done 👏👏
Do u know what song that is?? I can’t find it anywhere
Just having fun-no drama, no complaints, no b.s., no crying, no sayin how great you are, no $7000 rigs, awesome. Just havin fun.
Thank you!!!

Bike packing with the slash ! excellent idea, with the snacks storage in the down down tube !
great steed !!! 👌
Biking in the chilcotins made me realize I am a pathetic out of shape mess.
It's time for a ride then :)
I think one day it would be cool but my longest day is 17.5km so far
SlowSpoke ride slower, ride longer.

Great work guys! Would you do this route again? Have a link to the route? What did you learn & what would you do differently?
I can't just watch other bikepacking vids from other channels, because I'm really spoiled by the quality of these vids man.
