Absolutely brilliant. Really appreciate the effort taken to create this film. Balancing filming and making sure you get to your destination each day, the planning and then the edit afterwards. I am super impressed. Bravo.
It's not a line, is a line through the heart. Ever be inside the heart yours. Tanks for all inspirations em fantastic shoot and videos. A warm and strong hug from Brazil.
... was für ein toller Film! a great movie: cycling - nature - exertion - joy -arriving -together - enthusiasm. This film shows so much - well done! Vielen Dank
Beautiful!!!!!!!!! My wife and I rode 1,000 kilometres of gravel in Southern British Columbia this past summer. This video reminds me of our adventure in many ways! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I've been looking forward to this, about to watch... But I love how the Thumbnail it looks like Chris Burkard is having a lot more fun than everyone else!
Ha! 😁 Good catch. Eric and his wife Emily (professional mountain biker) probably know what's ahead, while Chris is just excited for all the fantastic sceneries and footage he gets to collect!
This looked great! The insta stories amazed me when this was happening but these images are just even more awesome! One thing I noticed, listening with headphones on there's something odd to one of the audio channels of the field recorded (interview) audio which I think should be an easy fix. Anyway, really enjoyed watching this, a long version would be very welcome!
That would be amazing. The quality of this was impeccable, but also the adventure. We all need more adventure. Check out Emily Batty’s docuvids on this too.
think the same.... Maybe not that long but felt the duration of the edit was a little bit short maybe.. Little bit compacted/shortened or cutted in some section (in some points you lost a little bit of the plot... it's like a long trailer in some section... for example the river cross where Chris is trying first) considering the duration of the expedition and quality/quantity of the content Brilliant in any case!
Congratulations Chris and the rest of the team members for both achieving this adventure and the incredible video. For most people Iceland is not more than a big rock in the middle of the ocean but for a reduced group of others (included me) it is a magical place you can't remove from mind. I travelled a part of the country in my bicycle in 2019 and it was one of the most important adventure experiences of my life. Congratulations again and thanks for sharing such motivational stories.
Wow! Perhaps the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Parts of this journey remind of hiking through the Auyuittuq National Park in 1999. River crossings that were incredibly dangerous, gruelling landscape while tracking trough a picture post-postcard. Amazing stuff!
Wonderful work. Agree with Auyuittuq NP on Baffin Island, Nunavut. Was back from my second trip there in 2018, and did a short vlog style film here: th-cam.com/video/SdA4yc9XHlY/w-d-xo.html. (hope it’s ok to share here). Not on me of my broadcast films for television, but gives a taste of this incredible, remote part of the Canadian Arctic.
We just published another adventure documentary! This time, it's about the toughest climb in the world to solve the outstanding Mount Everest mystery. Go check it out here: th-cam.com/video/bzl2gid36uc/w-d-xo.html (And if you're not sure yet, watch the trailer: th-cam.com/video/bzl2gid36uc/w-d-xo.html)
Great experience and great achievement by them all. So funny to see Emily and Chris doing something together, it's like my Instagram feed has started merging together.
Well that was jolly fantastic! Such beautiful shots and fantastic story telling! It's definitely got me stoked to get out on an adventure again when all this blows over! Until then, gotta keep the adventures local! 😁
I believe the travel is what it's all about in life. And I can only but hope it's gonna be THE way for me. Some will say it's a nice ad and tons and tons of money went into making all this happen, after all one can see only the top equipment brands shining here. But I can see a neatly executed filming, a piece of great cinematography in a condensed form. Yes, I know, the sponsorship was the gist (sort of), SONY Alpha and all. But then there's a huge load of underlying notions and thought-provoking nuances, so once you get all the expensive stuff shown here out of the way, you can see it's really impressive and inspiring. Great work.
Thanks so much for sharing your spectacular experiences...and unforgettable memories.... enjoyed watching the excellent filming and production....Congratulations and cheers....
Amazing, surreal experience for us viewer, just a glimpse of the lives of Chris and others. When Chris was sharing insta stories about this cycling journey it was evident that would be special, but after seeing this,it's indeed a life time of an experience while covering Iceland from east to west on bicycle. Amazing accomplishment , so much inspiring, and kudos to the Sony Team for bringing such immense documentary work ❤️.cheers 🙏
I love this kind of documentary film, a real mix of fun and filming the great sceneries.
Absolutely brilliant. Really appreciate the effort taken to create this film. Balancing filming and making sure you get to your destination each day, the planning and then the edit afterwards. I am super impressed. Bravo.
man. this is what you call "livin the life"
The best bikepacking documentary I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant.
Beautiful story, beautiful people. Beautiful, raw, Iceland. 🙌🏻
I can watch such a video all day long👍
It's not a line, is a line through the heart. Ever be inside the heart yours. Tanks for all inspirations em fantastic shoot and videos. A warm and strong hug from Brazil.

Nothing inspires me more than a Sony doc
Wow. Wow. Wow. What an awesome trip and so perfectly documented! Thanks for letting us come along for the ride!

Absolutely loved the vision of this challenge and the execution. Congratulations to the entire team. The landscapes are breathtaking!

Now this is how travel films should look like! Beautiful storytelling!

Am I the only person here that thinks this could be a really rad hour long bikepack documentary?
Uh, that would be really amazing! Do you generally prefer more long-format documentaries or is it because of the topic itself/Chris' fantastic work?
Same here, was my first thought like 2 min into it. 😃
That would be amazing. The quality of this was impeccable, but also the adventure. We all need more adventure.
Check out Emily Batty’s docuvids on this too.
