    Why do many people complain about the 6th gear, gear ratios are more important, a taller 5th gear ratio corresponding to the Torque output is enough.

      @@allangomes2416 You are getting Dual Channel ABS, Slipper Clutch, Bluetooth connectivity, on engine they have used powder coating thats why it looks different. I had an RTR 180 from 2011 to 2016. I used it mainly for inter-city rides within Tamil nadu. I would ride it at a stretch for up to 100 or 150 kms . I did stuff like Trichy-Madurai and back, Trichy- Coimbatore and back. It was also comfortable on B roads around Trichy. I could ride it all day at speeds of around 90- 100 kmph all day. I followed maintenance schedules very strictly. The bike NEVER failed in the middle of the road.
    I had covered 450 kms in one single day.
    Finally I had to sell it as I got in financial trouble.
    The local dealer here in Trichy, Shriraj motors were , and still are , up to the mark.
    I would buy another TVS bike for the brand as well s the dealer Shriraj motors.

    I have bought this bike on November 2020. Recently I drove from Bangalore to Palakkad (400 kms)at night. I started around 10 pm and reached by 5 am. Just to mention this bike is epic for touring, especially for beginners. Some Pros and Conns :-
    Pros:
    1. Excellent rider seat. No back pain at all.
    2. Good headlight , powerful enough to see the entire highway.
    3. Acceleration is linear and not aggressive. This is good if you are a beginner.
    4. Front brake is very good. Back brake is average
    5. No vibration till 110 kmph. Ideal cruising speed 90-100kmh.
    6. Very less impact if you accidently jump into a pothole.
    7. Good riding position. Rider seat is long enough to shift back and forth while driving.
    8. Sport mode is really good while touring. ( Try acceleration aggressively in urban and sport mode to feel the difference).
    9. Full Tank is sufficient for 400 kms.
    Cons:
    1. Back brake should be improved. While cruising above 110kmph it takes lot of time to reduce the speed.
    2. Max speed I got was 127Kmph. Considerable vibration and poor braking at high speeds.
    3. Side drifting is there when overtaking a large vehicle.

    I have actually taken this bike on touring last year, just one thing that i would disagree with you is on the seating comfort. I personally didnt like the seat cusioning on this motorcycle and it felt quite hard and i ended up having a sore butt after about 90 kms, by the end of my ride which was a total of 300 kms, the seating comfort was a torture. Otherwise, yes i would totally agree with you that this is a good touring motorcycle for beginners.
    And nice video..... Cheers!!

    • @chandrakiranreddy1054
      @chandrakiranreddy1054 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      that's not a thing to complaint because it's a naked bike, usually naked bikes do have hard seats and hard suspensions to have good control over the corners. However, a seat cushion will solve the problem.

    Thanks Strell for the information rich review. But I want to ask you about high speed cruising you mentioned. In India the legal speed for even 4 wheelers on express higways like Yamuna expressway is 100 kmph only. So where we can cruise on a teo wheeler at 130-140? 100-110 is enough I guess. Isn't it?

    Proud owner of BS4 version!
    Very nice and well rounded bike for city roads and bike trips. I have covered maximum of 600 -700 km in one trip and performance is amazing.
    Easy to ride and comfortable seats.

    hi! excellent content as always, stay blessed!... now past mid fifties we will be back in india in june and planning to ride again... wonder what is good for us ... zero hassles, service centers availability, ride comfort for both of us... shortlisted to bullet classic with tubeless but the vibrations! fz 25 or rtr 200 (rear seat comfort an issue here), and dominar 250 and 400 (to go in the evening to get vegetables and issues here) help us please

    What you did at 2:52, if a motorcycle does that excessively and aggressively, the jerking upon cutting throttle, what probably causes that? And how do I explain that to someone? Like to a mechanic, and a sound individual.

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      choppy throttle sometimes leads to stress during touring because the whole bike gives a sudden movement. Gradual throttle is always better in top gear.
