Hello ma'am I was watching a video on TH-cam suddenly i found your video on TH-cam😊😊I watched your video. I liked your voice❤❤ especially your smile😊😊 i have subscribed your channel i pray your channel grow like Uk gdp 😊😊😊 by the way lots of love ❤❤❤
I got an ADHD and Autism diagnosis 2 years ago. This year I was working a baking job (mainly pastries) after almost 4 years of working in tech. I never thought about it from an autism perspective but the stimulation from being on my feet and working with my hands non stop for 7-8 hours a day made a huge positive difference for my ADHD brain. Had to quit eventually because the pay was not sustainable long term and I might go back to tech if I don't find another baking job that actually pays decently. Fingers crossed I guess Anyway you seem like a very kind soul and I hope you continue making videos 💜
Sorry to hear that the pay was dust but so wonderful that you were able to discover that this type of work is a good fit (pay aside)! My fingers are also crossed for you. It really does depend on your city and honestly timing of when you are looking for jobs, but there are indeed baking jobs out there that pay well. Having your experience would definitely help, I imagine. I'm rooting for you! And thank you for your kind words :-)
You seem like a unique person. Cool that ure uploading these videos. In a chaotic world, its nice to get some bits and insights into a strangers life in a format so raw like this - makes u take a step back. Hope ur having a good one.
Do you feel like you are masking when you video yourself? Also what is your experience with people telling you you're not autistic when you've discovered that about yourself? I'm like you, a "people pleaser" and so people's opinions sometimes matter too much and I find it really discouraging.
Hello! Honestly I could make a video answering your questions... but will also give you a written answer right now too! To the first question, short answer: sort of? Masking feels really complex to me, because when you've been doing it your whole life, it kind of integrates into your personality. I'm not totally sure what me with 0% mask even looks like. I definitely try to minimize masking, though, because I want TH-cam to be fun and trying to be something I'm not will make me unwilling to continue posting. The first few videos I made felt really awkward and I definitely felt hyperaware of my mannerisms and voice. For example, I don't usually speak super fast and -- with my ADHD -- don't really stick to topics in a linear way. Interestingly enough, however, I feel like making more videos has allowed me to explore how I am without a mask (or with minimal mask, I guess). Not editing my videos, especially, really helps me to explore this. I think part of why making TH-cam videos is effective for this is because I'm speaking out loud. Masking, in my opinion, really tends to be employed when we are expressing ourselves verbally rather than in written form. So speaking out loud in videos allows me to practice speaking without masking. Okay, so I was totally planning on typing out an answer to your second question, but after writing so much for the first one, I think I'm going to just make a video for that one! I have so many thoughts! Thank you for your questions and giving me the opportunity to self-reflect!!
