I think the reason why it's only getting ~100 mA is that your phone is already at >80% of battery. Most phone will do trickle charging at this point. You need to retest this when your phone bellow 20%.

I have this same band wireless charging tag (nillkin) and my Huawei mate 10 pro with a fast wireless charger i got off Amazon (forget what brand) and my wifes samsung wireless charger charges my phone at 800 to 1000ma according to ampere app so I would recommend getting a better wireless charger. But would highly recommend this wireless charging tag for anyone who wants wireless charging!

They need to add the ability to do the magnetic cable connection to the end of the connector so you have the option of using a magnetic cable.

I tried loads of chargers and receivers. The quality at each end makes a HUGE difference to the charging times and speeds. You buy a low quality receiver and a low quality charger and you'll be waiting forever as its really inefficient. I've got a Baseus receiver with a Yootech charger and they both work brilliantly with other, and charge at 600mAH, compared to 1000mAH via cable. When I swap a Hoolife charger, I only get around 280mAH.

Really good video. Very informative and to the point. Excellent format with no annoying intro or outro. Keep it up!

I wonder will any kind of wireless reciever with usb type C interface work for my Samsung Galaxy A12 as the Galaxy A12 has a 6.5 screen a bit larger/ taller than average Android phone also obviously the A12 has a big bulging 4 rear cameras which makes it difficult to lay flat/ flush to a flat surface without possibly a case. Or will you need to buy a bigger wireless reciever like the Nillkin company magic tags wireless reciever at 5v 1A 1000mah as shown on this video???

Holy shit man, THANK YOU. This is actually really fucking useful and cool. I almost always have to replace my phone charger because of the whole only charges in a certain angle thing. I never really thought about wireless chargers before, or what their purpose was, but a few hours back I realised it was for that whole problem. My phones a j3 eclipse, and I was afraid i could have to spend a few hundred for a phone that could charge wirelessly. Which, I dont have, or would be able to afford for almost half a year, or ask for it on my birthday/christmas. Sorry for rambling, my point was you're a fucking godsend for this.

I have a Nillkin tag and I reach 850-1000 mA charge. There must be some issue with your charger or receiver module.

Qi is pronounced "Chee" the circulating life force whose existence and properties are the basis of much Chinese philosophy and medicine.

At 200mA, pixel 2 xl will take 5-6 hrs. to completely charge from 0to100.

    • @danielmewes
      @danielmewes 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

How did you get that number? The Pixel 2 XL has a 3520 mAh battery. So wouldn't that come out to 3520 mAh / 200 mA = 17.6 hours?
I'm not sure what the battery voltage is, whether it's 3.7 or 7.4V. If it's 3.7, it could be a little faster if the 200 mA were measured at the USB port's 5V. But not by much.

Just tested one on a Poco M3. The charge rate is almost exactly the same as the idle discharge rate, at around 160-180mA. Basically, if I left this charging for 24hrs and didn't touch the phone, I would have exactly the same battery percentage I started with. The wired stock charger that comes with the M3 charges at an average 1900mA (thankfully, as it comes with a 6000mAh battery)

Good review. I had one of these but got rid of it after a few weeks as charging is simply too slow and unreliable. Even a normal cable on my phone will charge at around 1.1A according to Ampere. This wireless receiver is only 10-15% of that!

Its only showing 100-200mah charge is the fact the phone is using approx 500mah while 'screen on' and background apps running. Install accubattery.....

This gadget enabled me to make use of my Lexus in car wireless charger. It was unused for two years, as my 2016 SE iPhone is old and not set up for wireless charging. For $14, I now have a new ability and don't need to charge phones with charging cable. Thrilled! Instructional video was fine and to the point. Thank you.

I bought one from a guy. Don't know if it was defective because it would barely charge and would drain my battery while plugged in and sitting idle.

Hmm, on my Stylo 5 the mA was 780 to 840. And that was through a pretty thick case, but i was using a Stikit Wireless charger so may that's why mine was so much higher a charge.

I have buy an other wirless charging receiver and it gets so warm that it could get fire! Has the "Nillkin Type C Wireless Charging Receiver" any problem with the temperature while charging the phone?

How do I know whether to buy the long or the short cable version? Is it about positioning the inductor right? Maybe that's the reason for your low charging rate?

Great reviews anyway, is the charging time is depend on how current on wireless charging dock? Or if im by the fast charging support it still slow or what?

    • @thebig135

The tag just give 5v 1a output... So it's slow.

Does the phone heat up and get damaged while charging and can you actually pull the adapter out and use a normal charger?
