Monster wrangler may appear weak but trust me when I say the patience and investment really pays off Gimmick of wrangler is it *learns new abilities when you rescue a ceetain number of friendly monsters* And some rewards from the arena are pretty good: weapons, armor, accessories, seeds and more
Really liking these guides. Very informative. I heard there were changes to gender stuff in the game but this is the only place where Ive seen the changes actually explained. Hope to see more DQ content!
basically just have fun and play. unless you want the "best" party it doesn't matter. i rarely died with a "weak" team and the ai combat is amazing and knows weakness etc before you do.
Adding to #8 - you can always, at any time, Zoom back to Aliahan, go to your house, and rest up for free by talking to your mum. It's the same as going to an Inn but you never have to pay for it. Not a huge deal (Inns are mostly pretty cheap) but if you ever feel you need your MP topped off, why pay for it? It also, as you said, gives you an excuse to the visit the Mini Medal Manor to see if you've unlocked a new reward yet. Or hit up Patty's to putz with your Party line-up.
There's actually a neat addition if you go there while the hero is dead- their mom will freak out and be heartbroken, begging you to save them... sadly it seems you can't rest there when they're like that though.
Well going to the church means you have to restart the dungeon. And a low wisdom stat means the MC learns zin a lot later than the priest. So thats why the service call skill is really useful.
GREAT video. Definitely didn't know about some of the version changes. Gonna reclass my Priest into a Warrior after she learns Kazing so that she can be extra tanky.
Monster wrangler, Thief and Priest Both wrangler and thief have a "scan" ability that let's you know if there are monsters or items in the area respectively And Priest so you don't bleed out mid fights *Any learned ability and spell remains after class changing* recommend to switch classes after you learned everything
The mc learns zin too. And I class changed to sage immediately after I got to tower of transcendence. Sages are a very tank caster class. Its kinda silly how tanky they are
yeah but unless you have a wisdom boosting personality, the priest learns it before the MC. So thats why I said its your earliest way to revive, including the church. But I shouldve mentionned that you're right!
I was thinking of starting with a cleric, thief, and monster wrangler. But you’re saying to go with a merchant and I can see why. But who do I hold off on between thief and MW? Can I put off MW until later or is going to be a pain later?
Go with monster wrangler You get an early party heal and their later abilities are crazy good with setup Also get rewards when you rescue enough number of monsters, similar to mini medals
This was my starting team and I absolutely loved it. (Mind, this is my first time playing DQ3) the MW is honestly great, at 50 monsters you get a skill that lets you attack twice. Ive done Thief (to all abilities) -> Sage, and Priest (to all spells) -> Martial Artist. Have one last skill to learn for MW and then I will change her into either a Merchant or Warrior for endgame :)
Monster wrangler gets a lot stronger later in the game. So you can go thief, then transition to monster wrangler when u can. Or go MW then transition ue merchant into thief
I just sell the seeds early on for money since you don't get much from enemies no matter how many you defeat early on. Makes buying equipment early a grind.
@@yazzuo7213 yeah around lv 15 if i remember you unlock that skill so bring thief up to lv 20 and then job channge and you will keep that ability! It also works on the ship its really nice

Yup! its a class that scales very well in the mid-late game

Thanks, it means a lot man. I'll keep uploading DQ content for sure!

@@camunderlain Okay, that is amazing and I'll have to try that sometime!
I totally forgot about that fod #8, thanks!
If you want a Sage without having to use Words of Wisdom book, start with a Gadabout.
Yup, mentioned that in my previous video! But i hate starting with gadabouts on my 1st run ngl😂.
Also wisdom affects the odds at which u learn skills and magic normally it would be level based but that's not the case anymore
yup, I read about that but I didnt wanna make the video too long. Thanks for sharing it!
It also affects the potency for your healing spells. Which means they will heal slightly more the higher your wisdom stat is
Very nice tips that I never thought of. Think it is worth sharing.
Glad it was helpful! I'll keep making content on this.
#4 If your Priest is dead, you’re in trouble. Go to the church immediately or use Zin.
Well going to the church means you have to restart the dungeon. And a low wisdom stat means the MC learns zin a lot later than the priest. So thats why the service call skill is really useful.
@ You’d need a Merchant to learn that skill.
GREAT video. Definitely didn't know about some of the version changes. Gonna reclass my Priest into a Warrior after she learns Kazing so that she can be extra tanky.
Yeah some changes are very interesting!
Vamp accessory is female only. Only the hero can get it as a male character
the accesory is but male party member CAN be vamp. Youre right tho, shouldve talked about this, it makea female characters even better.
Great video!
can you do a video on recommended class progression?
what class do you recommend I switch to?
Yup im working on a video about classes!
Monster wrangler, Thief and Priest
Both wrangler and thief have a "scan" ability that let's you know if there are monsters or items in the area respectively
And Priest so you don't bleed out mid fights
*Any learned ability and spell remains after class changing* recommend to switch classes after you learned everything
#3 If you acquire a mini-medal, backtrack to Aliahan.
I would say every 2 or 3 medals.
@ I’d say whenever you reach a number that calls for a reward.
The mc learns zin too. And I class changed to sage immediately after I got to tower of transcendence. Sages are a very tank caster class. Its kinda silly how tanky they are

Etre quebecois c'est pas un debuff mais un gros buff! +100 Charisme et INT ;)
hahahahahahaha merci
Male characters should have had the option Camp not Vamp 😀
I believe that the male equivalent to vamp (sexy) has been lewd, and still is possibly.
meh, I still would give the seeds to the MC since he stuck as Hero anyway
I just sell the seeds early on for money since you don't get much from enemies no matter how many you defeat early on. Makes buying equipment early a grind.
giving them to the hero is a viable strat, yeah. since hes an all rounder
What is a woman ?
Good question🤔, ive heard thats what biggots call "body type B" people.
The mc learns zin
Later than the priest tho, I said the priest is your earliest way to rez people (not counting the church), i didnt say it was the only way.
Too many random encounters in the overworld for me. Baffles me why they didn't add the option to change the rate or put monsters in the overworld.
With the thief skill you barely get any encounters highly recomend it!
@@onionknight-vi-5992 can I learn it as thief and switch vocation to keep this spell? And if yes which level does he learn it?
Yeah, its a bit much sometimes
yes you can, dont worry about what lvl since u can only change classes at lvl 20 and he learns before that. dont remember the exact level
@@yazzuo7213 yeah around lv 15 if i remember you unlock that skill so bring thief up to lv 20 and then job channge and you will keep that ability! It also works on the ship its really nice
Decent info. Please work on the delivery.
any advice?
