Osamah Alabdullah Agree. I'm very happy with my PC specs (home build, woop woop!). I plan, sometime in the future, to only upgrade my GPU for FPS reasons. I don't have FPS problems currently (on very high settings), but I figure if I want to, per say, "max out" the sim, a higher end GPU would do well. But I've worked out the settings so my GTX 960 SSC is nice and comfy. I love it!
Hey Q8Pilot, do you realize that if the gtx 980ti was out when you bought the titan that the 980ti is actually a little better than the titan? Whenever a X80TI comes out its 100%-105% as good or even better than the titan its coming after, at half the cost. Its basically nvidia's way of dropping the price on the titan.. sorry to say this
Thank you. Wow. It doesn't surprise me that it isn't free. The detail is insane. I can't imagine the work that went into it. Everything in my "hanger" right now was free in the forum. I might start spending a little to get better planes (after I upgrade my computer to run at higher settings)
Very interesting, thank you for sharing your settings. May I ask what you use to record the sim? Also may I suggest a video showing your add ons, scenery especially and then put the links in the description. You have a superb simulation set up there!
Great video mate - thank you. Am close to pulling the trigger on a Titan but struggling to justify the additional $600 over a GTX980ti, just for the VRAM. I note that you're using UHD mesh - have you tried Ortho yet? Would love to see your system run some photo realistic scenery.
+Anthony Palmowski Hey Anthony, thank you for watching for your kind words. Yes, I do have some Ortho sceneries, mainly Austria and Spain. They look absolutely awesome! $600 seems a lot to justify for just VRAM, but then if you want everything in Hi Res, it is the way to go. Performance wise, both cards are the same. If you intend using a 4K monitor though, then look no further than the TITAN X. Happy flying!
Thanks for watching, I would say mid-high settings. You will need to test this of course but if you keep your texture resolution below extreme and shadow at 3D on aircraft you should be able to max most other settings out. It would depend on a lot of other things but you should get very good performance.
+Osamah Alabdullah Good vid! what FPS do you usually get at max settings? And what specific CPU do you have? I can't seem to find benchmarks for it, I just picked up a copy, will be able to play it in a couple weeks, if your Titan X is only using 2.2 GB maxed out, I would assume that I could get all the same eye candy with a little bit lower FPS with my AMD Fury and 4.4 GHz i5 6600k.... that video is beautiful though, did you have to pay extra for that particular airport? or did it come standard?
Hey there Bader.... Below are the main add ons. Perhaps I will do a video on add ons but here is a quick list: UHD scenery v1 SkyMax Pro Carenado skymaster Flyjsim HD runways HD sky, cloud and overlays textures by Abdullah Almuntasir SoundMax Pro LOWI scenery from xplane org Road textures from xplane org That's it. Thanks for watching the video :-)
Would love to see what performance a Fury X achieve in this game :P I'm gonna try it with my R9 290 and FX-8350, don't expect to max it out, but should be pretty good nonetheless :)
I tried with Xplane org LOWI scenery, but it does not look amazing as yours. My pc specs is: X79-Rampage IV B-E. I7: 4960X. 32 GB RAM (Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3). Asus GTX 780 TI. Thnx for helping
+ilyes maamri Please make sure you get the scenery from here forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=22072 Also, you will need UHD Scenery mesh from here www.alpilotx.net/downloads/x-plane-10-uhd-mesh-scenery-v1/#Mirrors-Torrents You will need the Europe Alps from the above link. Also, please mind that I have a TITAN X so I was able to max everything out. Play around with your settings to achieve the best possible visuals. Let me know if I can be of any further help to you. Good luck and happy flying :)
+Osamah Alabdullah, Thanks a lot for these information. I started to use X-Plane 10 when I saw your videos, so we want more of them please Best regards.
+Osamah Alabdullah That looks amazing Iove the night lighting the car headlights look amazing and the sunset effect. Would you at all mind sharing me a screenshot of you RTH+Light settings I would be forever grateful. I also have a 4.6ghz 4790k and what i thought was a decent graphics card gtx680 ftw 4gb vram? But my frames always suffer with any clouds must be as its a older card.
Thanks for.watching. You can find all my RTH scripts on Part 4 of my guide to xplane 10. Please the tips and trick playlist. Yes with old cards you will suffer. Xplane depends on both the processor and GPU for good performance. Happy flying :-)
+Osamah Alabdullah thanks for the quick reply I will check it out. I am noticing with xplane that it's not just sensitive to how high the cpu is clocked or how much VRAM I have but the speed of the graphics card example the bus bandwidth or memory speed. Does that sound about right to you ? Again thanks for your help loving the quality of your videos so immersive
X-Plane global shadows is almost frame rate killer till now in my machine! try to flying with your max settings in morning hours and you will see the different between morning and evening flying!!
Thanks for watching the video. Yes global shadows will set you back 10 to 15 frames. For me I still get a number above 30 frames with global shadows in daytime.
Hey Osamah, I'm a twitch streamer here. I just got the gtx 1080 ftw but notice that my frames are not running any higher than my previous gtx 670 SC+. Is it true that the CPU will prevent me from getting higher FPS? I noticed that you're able to achieve great results with the Titan X! The gtx 1080 ftw is supposed to achieve around the same as the Titan. Any advise? Also, I am running a 4k monitor and have tried different resolution settings with not much better results.
Hey there, the CPU is still the dominant factor when it comes to xplane and the i7 4790k remains the best as it gives the best single core performance which xplane depends on. I am personally not impressed with the 1080 or 1070. My Titan X still works better with xplane. There is a new Titan X coming out soon. If you can return your 1080 and wait and get the new Titan X, you will be better off. Happy flying :-)
Nice video Osamah, i'd however be keen to know what the performance would be like if you used say for example Flight Factor's Boeing 757 and World traffic as an additional plugin with activity at Innsbruck? The reason why i'm asking is because i currently have Nvidia GTX 660ti GPU and an overclocked i7 2700k CPU to 4,4 Ghz, 16GB RAM and unfortunately i can't enjoy good frame rates using the World Traffic plugin, W2XP, photo scenery from zone.fr, Skymaxx Pro 3.0 and the FF757. I've obviously not being able to max out my settings. Do you think i'll be fine with a GTX 970? I'd be grateful to you for any useful advice.
+shabanimakiwa Thanks for watching the video! You do have quite a bit of plugins and hence you will need additional VRAM to run things smooth especially if you are running WT2 with a lot of routes. You should be fine with a 970 but I highly recommend the 980ti with 32GB ram for a smoother experience. Happy flying!
+Osamah Alabdullah With all do respect, we both know there isn't a need for 32 GB of RAM. On top of that, with a sim built like X-Plane, having 32 GB of RAM won't have any recognizable impact on FPS, especially when 16 GB is plenty. Plus, not all of us are completely open to spending so much on RAM xD xD xD
+Joe N. Try running xplane at max with UHD scenery and watch your PC comes to its knees with 16gb.. The developers of the UHD mesh themselves recommend 32gb. In the end it depends on how you want the sim to look and what scenery you use.
Osamah Alabdullah Quick question: "UHD" as in "Ultra-High Definition [Textures]" ? (Sorry, just curious). That's amazing, honestly. I would have never known a use for 32 GB of RAM !!! Well, I am happy to say I'm satisfied with my 16 GB. I may be a texture-quality junky, but I don't need the best! xD Cheers, Joe N.
I assume this is 1920x1080 ? I tried 4K a few times with X-Plane but the CPU still can not handle the amount of detail in these settings. my setup is similar (5930@4.6 Ghz) GTX 970TI OC (all on water) to bad we could not see the Framerate display from Xplane on your vid.
do you use add on for this ? This is beautiful :) I would like to try XPlane i'm on P3D and with a 980TI and 3570K@4.5GHz I turn arround 20FPS... I'm very disapointed about that...
The aircraft is an add on but everything else in this video is pretty much stock. you should get better than 20FPS with you set up. You can download x-plane demo and try it out before you buy it. Thanks for watching!
thank u for the great videos. I have a 6700k @ 4.0 mhz paired with a 980ti 6gb. (do u advise over clocking?) what setting do u recommend to run smoothly. thanks
Thanks for watching. You have a capable machine but I would OC to 4.5 if your MB can take it. Keep texture resolution below extreme. You can max everything else out pretty much but keep road traffic at default.
Dudebas per Ben Supnik the new driver 355.06 fix the issue but i had the same issue as far as a system freeze. I have the gtx 980. When i went back too my 770 with and older driver i had no problems. Sucks
Actually the latest driver 355 causes micro stutters when on Ground. Drove me nuts. Xplane 10.40b10 is absolutely horrible as well. I don't plan on upgrading until I test this properly on my other PC.
+CLG73180 I had some issue at the beginning after the upgrade to windows 10. The issues appear to have minimized since the release of the latest nvidia drivers. A word of caution though, the latest version of xplane 10.40 is absolutely horrible. Very low frames and stutters even on my beast PC. If you are not having issues great, but if you do, then stick with 10.36.
Good rig. It depends where you fly though. If you try flying around London Heathrow with Aerosoft scenery, it is impossible to get 70fps with Max settings.
+Osamah Alabdullah Heheh I know how it goes... it takes months of practice before mastering a new G\A ac at different airports and weather conditions. One of my most challenging landings was with the MJ20 moony @ Gibraltar - orignally from LPFR Faro Portugal through thunderstorms and very sevear final crosswinds. But wow once I was done I reapeated that replay so many times... it was great fun to see what I did and could've done better...
+MrPRmira :-) Exactly right. I still make some really bad landings in bad weather, but we learn a new everyday. I will be uploading a new video soon which featured the 172 Cessna in some really bad weather. Stay tuned...and you be the judge of the landing in that video :-)
+Osamah Alabdullah :-) Will be looking forward to it... although I still stand at "Any landing you walk away from is a good one"! its not more or less comfortable its more or less exciting :-) But for the purpose of perfection you gotta push youself to try and grease it in the most difficult situations
+魏帅 It will be much more with more advanced aircrafts with 4K textures. I believe the highest I reached with the AirfoilsLab Cessna was 8GB around the Alps with UHD scenery.
Osamah Alabdullah OOPS! I misread "4GB" in the original post (I must have been rushing). I thought it said "4gHz". I agree. 4GB is NOT enough (we're talking about RAM, right?)
Amazing video! I believe I speak for many when I say you have a very respectable system!!!
+Joe N. Thanks for watching Joe! I do have a very decent setup yes, but things advance quickly in the PC gaming world.
Great video man!
Thanks :-)
Hi abdullah
Nice video, i would like to ask you please if you can share what you use for add ons and plugins, a quick list, i will google it
Hey there Bader.... Below are the main add ons. Perhaps I will do a video on add ons but here is a quick list:
UHD scenery v1
SkyMax Pro
Carenado skymaster
Flyjsim HD runways
HD sky, cloud and overlays textures by Abdullah Almuntasir
SoundMax Pro
LOWI scenery from xplane org
Road textures from xplane org
That's it.
Thanks for watching the video :-)
Nice
Too high and too hard on final..
Junaid Aleem I thought the same things bro
Would love to see what performance a Fury X achieve in this game :P I'm gonna try it with my R9 290 and FX-8350, don't expect to max it out, but should be pretty good nonetheless :)
I've got a Fury non X, will see how it does soon!
Hello Osamah, your videos are extremely awesome. can u tell me plz from where u got your LOWI airport and scenery?
Hi there ...thanks for watching and for your kind comments. The LOWI airport is available free on xplane org site. Let me know if you need any help.
I tried with Xplane org LOWI scenery, but it does not look amazing as yours.

This is not running the latest beta. Why not try with the extended view (DSF) option of the latest beta. It will look a lot better.

This plane sounds veeery simlar to the sounds heard on the 1992 movie Alive.
I assume this is 1920x1080 ?
I tried 4K a few times with X-Plane but the CPU still can not handle the amount of detail in these settings.
my setup is similar (5930@4.6 Ghz) GTX 970TI OC (all on water)

Correct this is 1920x1080.
do you think 1440p can be good for a gtx 970 OC and an i7 6700k?
XAvioniX The 970 does not sufficient pixel bandwidth for this resolution, but you might get reasonable results.
Does anyone have a video on how to set up joystick buttons?
how much did you spend ur money for the computer ?
do you use add on for this ?
This is beautiful :)

I fly my dad's 182 cessena skylane that's fun did the piper have a turbo prop .
That's awesome really, I wish I had a 182 just parked outside my home to fly when I like =)
Damn that's an expensive graphics card bro.Nice vid
Thanks for watching :-)
gpu-z could you try again?
Can't hear you over the sound of the engine.
punch down jejeje good video
Why in Xplane is always pitch dark like Gotham City ?
Maybe the developer is a Batman fan =)
How is your card holding with the latest nvidia graphics drivers? alot of people are having trouble with crashes or system freezes.
I have had some issues with the latest drivers.. I reverted to an earlier version and all is well. Thanks for watching!
Dudebas per Ben Supnik the new driver 355.06 fix the issue but i had the same issue as far as a system freeze. I have the gtx 980. When i went back too my 770 with and older driver i had no problems. Sucks

I have problems with my 980 Ti, probably drivers! When I startup it just restarts and the boots up, quite boring to watch, but okay...
+CLG73180 I had some issue at the beginning after the upgrade to windows 10. The issues appear to have minimized since the release of the latest nvidia drivers.

+CMBelite-FR I've ordered that graphics card so I will tell you then:) I have the 4790 @4.0ghz.
+Jonfrederick Lilley You will be able to max out everything except for texture resolution. You will need to keep it below extreme.
Thank you very much. I'm sure CMBelite will be thankful too:) Excited for 767!
+Jonfrederick Lilley after reading about all the systems yes ....waiting for its release anxiously:)
Little heavy on the landing there Sully
You are absolutely right, it has been a great while since this video, and definitely learned a great deal since then =)
Q8Pilot r u a ryanair pilot,
Well good brotha ima flow suit. lol
what kind of mods do you use?
or is this all default?
Please check out my 4 Part Guide to X-Plane 10 Parts 2 to 4 should give you the answer.
i run a i7 5960x @6.2ghz with 32gb corsair dominator platinum 3133mhz ram 2 gtx 1060s and i run xplane 10 at absolute Max and get a solid 70fps locked
Good rig. It depends where you fly though. If you try flying around London Heathrow with Aerosoft scenery, it is impossible to get 70fps with Max settings.
Can I get the same results with the GTX 980ti?
+flights360 Thanks for watching! You can get very close, but perhaps you need to set the texture resolution to less than extreme to save on VRAM.
friend, what is that airport, where is that airport?
Hey there Jesica, that would be Innsbruck in Austria (LOWI)
Innsbruck Austria ICAO: LOWI
How much was the PC build in total? This is interesting
+Kensta I don't remember exactly now, but I think it was something like USD 3500 or so.
+Osamah Alabdullah expensive
how much you spend a that new computer??
+Fsgamer99 The computer is no longer new :) It's been a while but I think it was in the vicinity of USD 3000 or so.
+Osamah Alabdullah sure its not new anymore, but it's still more powerful than hulk himself :P
+RezIsStupid :)
it's fuc.... beautifull
Will this work for me? AMD FX4350 Quad Core Processor 4.2ghz and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti graphics card
It should work fine, but not at max settings =)
what city is it?
Innsbruck Austria ICAO: LOWI
did you use any plug-in ?
+intro maker Yes RTH
thanks :)
normal texture but tons of object high texture but low object
which is better
great video, hard landing. but great video
Thanks David :-) Not the best of my landings I agree. Thank you for watching the video!
+Osamah Alabdullah What is that Airport Code, I would like to fly it.
David Rosario That is Innsbruck (LOWI)
+Osamah Alabdullah Might be (LOSM Mauterndorf Airport) ?
+David Rosario No it is Innsbruck LOWI, trust me I made the video :-)
Your landing skills are not nearly as good as your system.... lol ;-) But wow that is definitely amazing! great video
Thanks for watching and for your comment. Just one thing is is a year old video so I have worked on my landings a bit :-)

TITAN X or TITAN Z?
TITAN X is performed better.
I have 3 Titan X's, they all 4 gigs each and not 12 gig as you mentioned. only the Titan Z is a 12 gig card.
angeli662 seriously =) The Titan X comes in 12GB only. please check Nvidia website if in doubt.
angeli662 www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Graphics-12G-P4-2990-KR/dp/B00UVN21RQ check it out
You're absolutely right , Titan X Pascal 12 gig.
you should use gpu monitor to see real graphic card memory usage, xplane lies
Fps?
In this video, about an average of 45.
Shukran jazilan! Haha. :)
i dont think 4gb is enough
+魏帅 It's plenty :)
I tried GPU-Z, it is over 4GB when max out
+魏帅 It will be much more with more advanced aircrafts with 4K textures.
+Joe N. I am referring to VRAM :)
