The Coffey's Sparkle Minnow is a very deadly streamer pattern. The Sparkle Minnow can be fished on the move (stripped quickly), on a dead drift and even swung slowly across stream. In this video, we tied the Sparkle Minnow in the Sculpin color variation. But it can be tied in many colors, even just plain white/pearl. Which is a very deadly color!! The Coffey's Sparkle Minnow is now being tied in many other variations, such as jigged and articulated models. They are all very effective and not very hard to tie. For those of you in “production” mode, you may want to think about pre-constructing some Ice Dub Dubbing Brushes. It will save you a lot of time and also material!!

Absolutely slays on the White. When nothing else is getting bit, I can tie one of these on and put fish in the boat. Definitely make brushes, it ties SO much easier (and faster) w/brushes.
Glad to hear it...
Very nice fly, James!!.......Thank you 👍🎣
Always great ties man, thanks for the videos.
This is a great pattern - easy, effective and tough. Thank you for posting another terrific instruction video. Keep them coming. Any idea who 'Coffey' is as he and I share the same last name. I looked around on the web but clearly he is too modest to advertise himself! ATB, David Coffey

That is one awesome fly! Wow! It looks great and I’ll bet it fishes well too.

Do you have a problem with hook not keeling correctly i.e., riding upside down?
That is why I want to put this on a jig hook and a slotted bead. What do you think?
I’ve seen woolly bugger marabou, strung marabou, extra select marabou but I have never seen blood quill marabou. Can someone tell me what a good substitute would be out of one of these three for blood quill marabou? Thanks

Try craft fur perhaps
Any fly shop should have blood quill marabou.
just use tinsel
