    im so addicted right now, I watch these videos while im high because it gives me comfort hearing something that resonates, I can't tell any of this to my stoner friends lol. after years of daily smoking and im talking getting as baked as I possibly can as my goal every day, my life finally hit a point where I feel nothing, care about nothing, and just wanna sit and do nothing. and every aspect of my life is collapsing at the moment, so I think im ready to be sober.

    I wanna throw this out there. I have gotten sober for years, relapsed, been sober and relapsed and I've learned a few things. One is that for some people they are using a substance because there is a situation in there life that if they were sober they would not be able to live with. I kept using because I had narcissists around me and until I got the negative people out of my life and found some good.ones, for the life of me I could not stay sober because once I was I realized that I truly hated my life. So I left my bf, left bad friends behind, changed jobs all while still using. Once all that stress was gone getting.sober was sooooooo much easier. And staying sober isn't this huge everyday struggle since I have someone in my life who treats me with kindness everyday I am happy.

    • @onepieceguy2659
      @onepieceguy2659 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Truly inspiring. The problem starts when u have some really really good friends who use weed all the time. Yeah not every friend is still your friend when u stop using weed, but in some friends there is adeep believe in the friendship and they do accept it when i dont want to use weed anymore.
      Still.. its very challenging for me to keep the friendship alive, because every time i visit them i will get confronted with it. But im sure some friendships are worth that risk, i just have to learn to be okay without it, even if a friend is using it

    Hey Bill and everyone else on this page....I had my first hit at age 18. I still remember to this day, I am a young 64 year old, where I was, who was there and what happened as if it was yesterday.. Since that time to now I have been smoking as regular as the sun rise. I may go a day or two but as soon as something emotionally comes up, I ran to the dealer. What has been debilitating is that it is a habit I have hidden from most members of my family and some friends, especially those who do not indulge and I have therefore been isolating myself for years....just looking forward to that time alone where I can roll up. Of course most of my friends as friends with weed (not a friend really) I have now hit rock bottom and realized how this little reefer has effected me....Feeling low, feeling worthless, feeling unable to tackle most things or just putting them off so I can smoke. I FEEL totally alone, tho i have friends and family. I just haven't developed good relationships as I HAVE HAD one significant relationship - WEED! All my partners have been smokers and I probably chose them cos I would not have to hid my habit and my intimate relationship with Mary J. I stopped quite some years back and stayed sober for around 5 years and all I did was take one small reefer and now almost 8 years down the line, I am back where I was....I have achieved on the outside but not grown much on the inside....And that thing about not standing for yourself....well I see it now. Thank you BILL for being brave to share and its good to see a mature person who admits they have abused ad been abused by Mary J. I thought I was been a tough cookie while destroying my life. THANK YOU ANYWAY and as today is DAY ONE for me again...I am determined to not smoke again. I pray I make it this time.

    Huge. As a 30 year old who has been smoking for 15 years. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. It's not that I think smoking is bad at face value. But overtime it's made me value my self less. And it's time to place the value back onto myself.

      @@RupturedGrid Im on Board, dude. Im 25 now and i use weed since im 16. If i watch old videos of me, i can see that i enjoyed life much more. I was energetic, confident and ready to go. Even if i got older and made progress in some things, with weed everyday life becomes just gray. Im without energy most of the time, i feel like im dragging my friends down and most activities dont seem to make sense without using Weed. If im totally honest, i see that people dont look forward to see me anymore.
      I didnt want to confess it to myself most of the time, but i try to supress some bad feelings, from bad things that happened. But I dont want to waste another Decade. I want to be a loving human being again. I want to be a good friend, i want to give people hope instead of complaining about things. I want to get better&stronger for the family i will eventually find in the future. It will be hard, there will be bad Days, but I can do it. I have enough of this egoistic lifestyle

You hit the nail on the head in that my confidence was so low I just wanted to die. It was not an easy time and I still have struggles because of all the damage it caused me in my personal life but I’m slowly picking up the pieces and moving forward with my life. I hope I can look back one day and be a witness to somebody struggling with addiction. Stay strong my friends and keep looking up. You are valued and will be stronger in the end.

    I’ve been smoking weed everyday since 15 (I’m 25). Now It’s turned me into a skittish, antisocial and anxiety induced person. Every time I quit, I have nightmares wake up in sweat and often have panic attacks (i’ve noticed the panic attacks come after weeks of dab pen use). It’s kinda ruined my sex life with the anxiety... (a doctor would put me on pills right away but I will never do that)… I’ve been clean for about a week now and the crippling anxiety is starting to go away, and I feel like I’m seeing in 20/20 vision finally now.. going to the gym and picking up new hobbies help :) I feel like I’m closer to God as well. (No wonder the government is pushing weed on us all of a sudden).. For years, my aggression was gone because I was high every day. I would let people walk all over me. For young men, drive is important for career, relationships and life. Just 1 week and Im confident around new people, I don’t overthink and I feel sharper at work (I work in sales). I can’t wait for 30 days clean. I feel like my T-levels have risen just from 1 week of no weed.. it’s crazy how this is advertised as some kind of miracle drug. As someone who’s been using it for over a decade let me tell you it’s no miracle and I would be further in life if I never started. Thank you God for giving me the panic attacks to show me this
    2.5 week update :
    I’ve been waking up nearly every night in cold sweats from very very vivid dreams (and nightmares). Also noticed waves of anxiety at random times during the day - I have to channel it into music, working out, or creativity. Lost about 5lbs from lack of appetite, but the gym is keeping me in great shape at least.. some positive things : I’m a lot more focused at work, hobbies interest me, I’m sticking to a workout plan and feeling strong and I feel a much deeper connection to my family and the wonderful woman I’ve been talking to. I also noticed I’m a lot more emotional, in a good way.

Wake up, work, smoke, and sleep. Repeat! There were no new experience to be had because the only experience was to get high. This was a sad existence. Just taking up space and wasting the most valuable thing i have: time! Anyways, I appreciate you be courages and sharing. I needed this. Much love King Howie.

    Im turning 21 in July . since the age of 16 I was using weed to hide from depression. There were so many opportunities i've passed up simply because I was baked and i let people walk all over me and walk past me like you said. Every time i've felt low id get high, it felt like everything else didn't matter as long as i had some grams on me. Now i'm facing my problems face foward and im gonna be honest its hard and sometimes I think about giving up but then i find videos like these or they find me i'm not sure. nonetheless, I deeply appreciate your wisdom boss man

    Did you ever deal with quitting, then having a big void to fill?
    The addiction itself isn't a problem--I've quitt for a couple years, then a few months, etc. But I never really made strides with or without weed, and my justification was "oh I quit for a while, I didn't see change"
    It's like when I quit video games, I ended up consuming other forms of content, and not actually gaining any productivity. Idk.

    • @al1ex916
      @al1ex916 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah you gotta find things to fill the void with. Quitting weed is a good step but if ur just lying round playing Xbox all day ur not good gonna feel as good as if you join a gym, learn a language, read some books etc.

    I’m gonna have to stop smoking this coming week for good reasons and purposes but not willingly. I feel I don’t know what it’s like to be normal anymore, I work I play with my kids I do things with my family I don’t sit around all day or night and waste my time but I’m just not high anymore. I don’t remember what feeling normal is like.. idk if I’m gonna like it or hate it! After 15 years smoking 7 days a week I wonder what my body mind and souls gonna open me to.
