Another upgrade fitted after doing the Earth fix on Friday. I found that the little wedge was slightly too thick for hole even with the aluminium part pressed all the way down. So removed some slices with a Stanley knife and it slotted in, greased the shaft which made it a lot easier to reinstall in the car. Brilliant video again, nothing left out and not done in a hurry like some...
What a nice simple upgrade to a part that notoriously fails! Great work mate and a well shared guide!

Thanks mate, I got so fed up with these breaking that I put a big bolt & clamped it it , solid but have had to leave cover off as can't get that on unless I cut it a bit....I'll buy one of these now instead , well done !!

Had to change mine, bit of a ball ache getting the door sill panels back in lost a few clips in the process , will definitely be getting this upgrade, what a useless design by Audi. Good vlog Chris.👍
Chris, Mate..loved the fix, I don't have the issue now, but might do this up before I have an issue. Question for you, and I apologize ahead for not being a bit more savy, but how do I know/tell if my mk 2 is a 'non-face lift' vs 'face lift'? cheers mate..
Face lift changed over I think late 2010 possibly on a 60 plate maybe 10 plate. 59 plate and before defo pre facelift
@@Marc1979nufc thanks mate.. I am in the US so we don't designate by reg letters v etc. But I did some googling find the differences and my 08 roadster 3.2 quattro is a pre facelift..

Roadster or coupe makes no difference but as yours is 2007 It would be pre facelift

Ere I had a whirrling sound coming from mine when the engine was off and now my battery is dead what is this issue.the noise was coming from under the car.

@Car Chris it's fine it was the control relay for the fuel pump so have to detach it everyday till my new one arrives but thanks for the reply
