Thank you so much! I ordered the 10 black last year and after 7 good months of filming it started shutting down with a full battery. It had the latest firmware, re formatted card, factory reset. It's sent back and the 11 is on the way and I am excited. New Sub here and thanks for this video.
You're a legend! We're sat in the sun on our holiday with this new gadget and you've saved us!! Thank you SO much for this! We followed the video and now ready! Off snorkeling now, much sooner thanks to you! ❤
just purchased a GoProHero11 because my wife and I will be travelling to Australia in October for 31 days to celebrate out 50th wedding anniversary. As part of our cruise I will be diving the Great Barrier Reef and I want to take some amazing video and pictures. I received my GoPro yesterday and it is still in the box, I am looking for the best overall setting for both video and camera modes as i am somewhat technology challenged. I found this video and will look at some of your other beginner videos to learn as much as I can and make using my GoPro as painless as possible. Thank you
Hi Jordan. Thx for sharing your expertise. This is an excellent comparaison and actually to use Pro Controls is clearly a good thing even for beginners. Your recommendations and beside comments will help most of us I think. 😉
Do you have a good video when it sits in, for example, a rally car? We have a problem with the picture getting dark when we enter the forest. Open fields it will be good video. The camera is placed in the middle of the car between the seats. We use the lock function (spotmeter)
I just bought a GoPro 11. I found your channel looking for how-to videos. Awesome buddy! I have subscribed and I'll watch for other videos to learn more. 👍
not everything is completely clear for us beginners... everything is a bit accelerated but good :) do you have a video where there is an example of how a regular video and a pro video turned out... ? 🤗
Hi Jordan. I am heading to Glacier National Park in 10 days (July 11, 2024) Just got a GoPro Hero 11. Hoping to use it while hiking to take some video and photos. Figured it would be a lot lighter than my DSLR on the long hikes. I am brand new to GoPro. What setting would you suggest for photos in the mountains? and for videos? Fun fact. I ordered your book before I found your video. I have the book in both formats and plan to take it with me on the trip. Got the hard copy to keep in my backpack while I am hiking just incase I can't access the kindle version on my phone.
Hey Jordan, love your page. I've been doing video for 30 plus years, but the gp 11 will be my first action. Gonna be doing a cruise from boston up to canada and wanna use the 11 for this trip. Was hoping I would see some of the pro settings that I could use that you would recommend. I'm thinking 4k-30 p, auto wb, auto boost, obviously 10bit, iso minimum at 100, max at 1600. I will be outside shooting a lot, with some indoor shooting. I'll probably just use the on-camera Mike although I really like the DJI and the Volta. What are your thoughts on my settings and do you recommend anything different, I'll probably bring a shorty. Sorry for the long post but I didn't see a GoPro 11 video where you actually show the settings that you prefer
Hey Jordan, I have both your books on GoPro 10 & 11, are you working on the 12, & when do you think it will be available? Love your books, a lot more than one video could cover. Also is there a limit on the size of a micro SD card for GoPro 11? Thanks / love the channel David / Canada 🇨🇦
hi jordan.. beginner here.. any tips what proper settings and format should i use when renderring edited videos so it will be in great quality once uploaded online.
It really depends what editing software you are using and what resolution you are outputting. But in Premiere Pro, I personally get good results with a Constant Bit Rate, as opposed to a Variable Bit Rate.
Plz help... When I go to edit my videos it is super glitchy or laggy but it's only when I'm editing. I've tried changing settings on my editing app and everything I do still does this. It's so upsetting
It depends what you are looking for. Go with the GoPro Hero 11 for the highest resolution and quality traditional action cam on the market. The X3 is great for 360.

Jordan, new user here. Does the Hero 11 make any noise when turning on or starting a recording? If so, how does one turn off any sound/noise?

Hey there! Love the video. Do you have the link to you dual mount rig in the video? That is sick!
Thanks! I wish I did, but it's from a company that went out of business a long time ago. It was the Triad Grip by GoPole.
Thank you, I just ordered my 11
