Thank you for watching. Let me know which words you mispronounce. If you want to find out which very easy words are mispronounced by over 90% of esl students check this out: th-cam.com/video/hWrloe9wMvo/w-d-xo.html
"Often" is a word frequently mispronounced. Many people don't know that the 't' in it is silent. A word that is, perhaps subliminally, mispronounced is "vocabulary". The 'a' after the 'l' is a schwa (voʊkæbjʊləri).
Your channel looks great! You are a wonderful teacher! I have an incentive to support the channel and I have the incentive to come to the institute where I teach English. But unfortunately I do not understand anything when you talk and what you're talking about! The only thing I know is that you have a channel to learn English
Hi Anna, I really love your videos, and I have followed your channels for 2 years. But I do feel that there are too much ads on your channel. But thank you.
We listen to native speakers to know the right pronunciation , this lesson is good for us. and I hope you give us lessons about coalescence , reductions , assimilation ,etc.
Thanks indeed because of your kindness at showing those kinds of stuff to make english better, would you do explain tad of bristolian english, pleaseeeee pleaseeeeee. thx me dear.
Sensentional ma'am, for your kind information madam I'm not a native speaker sort of you and english is not my first language so it's common for me to mispronounce a lot of words, but I'm struggling and trying to improve my mispronounciation to see the video of native speaker like you. Thanks Madam to learn.
Anna,so is the pronunciation on Google translate of february wrong? Anyway thank you for everything you do,you are a wonderful person, thank you for allowing us to listen to these very useful English lessons and for transmitting enthusiasm, determination and love to all of us. I like your honesty and humility and then you are very nice and you make your lessons pleasant to listen to. Then as I am very obsessed with British English pronunciation ,I would love it if one day,you could make a video explaining the right pronunciation of words like "often" and silent letters, yes I would love to know more about silent letters.THANKS AGAIN!!!
Your cache of words keeps me on tenterhooks always. Maybe one of these days, perhaps on sixth of February next we could meet up for Espresso et cetera and spend some voluptuous time together? :)
i would say. Your cache of words always keeps me on tenterhooks. Maybe one of these days, perhaps on the sixth of February we could meet up for an Espresso et certera and we could spend some time together....Voluptuous is always used to describe something, a voluptuous women, that voluptuous steak. X
Congratulations on 300K subcribers Anna, I´ve been following English like a Native for over a year and I´ve learned a lot from your channel, I´m really grateful, wish you all the best in this new stage of life as a mum.
Oh, my! I've always thought "FebRuary" and "eT cetera" is correct, but there are so many native speakers who pronounces "FebUary" and "eX cetera" so I started to change my pronunciation after them! Thank you!
Do you have also changing of grammar rules or reforms at school? In Germany, I had many changings of grammar rules. Sometimes I must think about how to write it alright.
Anna Thank you for your teaching us the best way, i believe that you are unique couch, so i send you before days message and you don't answer me, i don't know what is wrong. Thank you for your kindness.
Hi Dear Anne.I hope you are having a great time.would you please teach different pronunciation of rub/rob. Buddy/body. hubby/hobby. Poppy/poppy and .... Thanks a million
0:15 Never knew 'caché'. 0:38 I, for a long time, *were* (was) saying 'expresso', which lots of natives do. 3:19 The incorrect way is how I've always been saying it. 8:18 I have never heard that word.
I studied Latin for a bit and that helped me pronounce et cetera properly, along with helping to spell a few other words (definite and annihilate come to mind, don't ask why.) Also, I always got Tenterhooks wrong, but I blame that on bad parenting (i.e. my parents said tenderhooks.)
I have one more confuse in business email. Some uses "revert" while some uses "reply" Please include these words on your next video Anna. Thanks, xx :)
"Revert to", "revert back" and "revert with" as synonyms of "reply" are chronic examples of Indian English. In standard dialect of English, "revert" is never used in place of "reply".
As an Italian I always mispronounce "prism" (and any -ism) because in Italian we say "-ismo" or "-isma" and you say "-isǝm"! BTW I noticed that when you said "prescription" you used a "strong" r that apparently doesn't exist in English; you should use the same r of "car".
Hii Anna..please I have a question for you about linking r...do we use it in this example : Im gonna eat....after the schwa sound Thanks a lot for the video 💗
funny thing that i'm not a native and pretty mediocre english speaker (you can tell that due to spelling mistakes), but i always pronounced them correctly.
One can see how spelling mistakes are made from the mispronunciation of words: 'Definitely' is a good one. This word is often pronounced 'definently' which is definitely incorrect. The word 'definitely' is an adverb which, like many adverbs, becomes one by adding 'ly' to the end of the adjective: definite.' The definite date has definitely been arranged.
You missed out Wednesday as common word regularly mispronounced (dropping the 'n', I do!), far more than 'perhaps', I've never heard an adult say prehaps ;) lol.
Hi Anna....Can I ask a favour? I don't know how do you say in English: For example: When you want suggest to another person to have a good behaviour ...I can trust to him/ her... Probably in English there's a right expression.... thanks Anna....
If you want someone to behave in a situation then you could say to them: I expect you to be on your best behaviour today / at the party / when my parents visit.

VERY GOOD
There are a lot of people teaching English on the internet. You are one of the very few I like. Up to date, I said cash ay for the first one 😂
Thanks you are a good teacher
Many thanks 🙏
Knowing that you mispronounce some english words makes you even more likeable and lovely.
Nice video Maam

Thnx Anna
Amazing!
it's interesting that non native speakers rarely make these mistakes
That's because they are taught academically, rather than just picking up the language at source, obviously.
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu 😍

Yep, that's true. I worked as a barista for a couple of years and would often hear some customers refer to espresso as "expresso" [sic].
Right Anna, the Italian saying! Uno espresso or caffè espresso, and I wondered why?
As an Italian I always mispronounce "prism" (and any -ism) because in Italian we say "-ismo" or "-isma" and you say "-isǝm"!
BTW I noticed that when you said "prescription" you used a "strong" r that apparently doesn't exist in English; you should use the same r of "car".
Native here! I've always been saying upmost instead of utmost!
Then you must try your upmost to correct that.
I love you Anna
Hello, my name is Minh Phuong. I come from Viet Nam and live in Ha Noi city. I want to learning english with you on youtube.
Hii Anna..please I have a question for you about linking r...do we use it in this example : Im gonna eat....after the schwa sound
Thanks a lot for the video 💗
funny thing that i'm not a native and pretty mediocre english speaker (you can tell that due to spelling mistakes), but i always pronounced them correctly.
Me too.
I Love your videos.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you Anna! I find hard pronouncing differently knackered and naked... they are similar, aren't they?
"Knackered" it´s just an "a" sound, whereas "naked" is a dipthong. "ei".
@@ser_rock_ok Thank you so much😊
For me, “February” is the most difficult!...🙏🌹
expresso is the french dictation of espresso. also caché and cache!
I am not a native speaker , But I want to speak like native like you . I am practicing , but I need more suggestion .
et cetera. I always pronounced it like in the latin version the original language.
Great video
Thank you 🙏
U r voluptuous❤❤💙💙
hi my beautiful teacher
As a non-native I feel kinda proud that I say all the words correctly. 😊
I'd go for "often" and "ninth" pronounciation ;)
In the US we say "uppermost" which is less likely to be mistaken for utmost.
The video gave me lot of things
One can see how spelling mistakes are made from the mispronunciation of words:

The word 'definitely' is an adverb which, like many adverbs, becomes one by adding 'ly' to the end of the adjective: definite.' The definite date has definitely been arranged.
Why was ''sixth' the 5th word? :D Love it though.
You got several of my pet peeves here!
I booked myself I can't pronouncing Explorer because I have a trouble with the r letter
You missed out Wednesday as common word regularly mispronounced (dropping the 'n', I do!), far more than 'perhaps', I've never heard an adult say prehaps ;) lol.
Many people at my homeland mispronounce the word "performance". They Mistakenly say "PREFORMANCE"!
I used to pronounce "cache" as /keitʃ/
Hahaha! I feel good 😈 when I can correct native speakers. Thanks a lot for this wonderful opportunity, I mean, video. 😂😂😂
Mem anna how i take your oiline classes. please tell me
my suggestion for another list: persecution vs prosecution
Great video. I laughed a lot while seeing you struggling with pronunciation lol.
Me gustas como enseñas muy al punto.
7:42 Excuse me, I was wondering if it should be “thumbS up”, instead of “thumb up”.
you are greet teatcher
Espresso it's very easy to pronounce, maybe because I am Italian
