My grandma lived with me from 1981- 1996 she got her own place Dec. Of 1995 but didn't move into it till after I had my youngest son in 1996. I don't know what I would have done without her. She was such a blessing and I appreciated all of her help. She was absolutely the best grandma ever!!
I half grew up at my grandmas my grandparents livin 300m from my parents my mom being ill and working. I had such a special connection with my grandma besides my son and sister she has been the most signifikant person in my life i Owe her life litterally. She was the most loving caring person and i loved/ still do her endlessly i cant State How much she means to me even though she died in 2009. I miss her but i carry her with me in everything i am and do❤ than you Farmor

Nothing better than having parents help in raising the kids. Kids love grandparents and grandparents love kids a lot. We in Bosnia do live with parents, usually oldest or youngest son. There are some great sides to this and there are some bad also but great ones are prevailing tons. It’s a blessing to have parents around the kids. ❤
Having Grandma and Grandpa part of family memories just enriches everyone’s lives. My adult sons had their grandparents living with them at young age and so loved them and had great relationships into adulthood. Adored their grandparents !!❤️❤️👏👏
I think it’s a great idea to have your in-laws move in with y’all. If our house was big enough or we could afford a larger home my daughter and her family would live with us. Being with our grandkids everyday would be an amazing blessing. Helping them with the kids would benefit them a lot too. Our grandson is 3yrs old and autistic so I wish I was able to work with him everyday. It truly takes a village.

It really just depends on the mutual respect you and your in-laws have with each other, when I lived with my husbands parents when we were 18 and pregnant it was HELLLL.. but now I'm 22 I have 3 under 3 and we lived with MY mom for a little while and it went well! You just never know.. but I hope it goes well for you guys ❤❤❤ I hope you all enjoy each other as much as you can.. life is too short to spend sitting in a room that's for sure
I lived with my inlaws and at times it could be rough. My advice is to have a mature conversation about boundaries and expectations. Make sure that you are seen and treated as adults and not as the kids in the house. Prioritize moments that are spent with just each other. Keeping the romance alive while living with parents can be different and hard at times.
I know this will probably get buried but Matt and Abby it’s actually quite common in Japan for the grandparents to help raise their grandchildren. This allows the parents (their children, aka you guys) to build financial wealth and maintain a good mental health. Grandparents in Japan also are likely to help cook, clean, and educate their grandchildren. It’s actually a good culture and beneficial in many ways! Elderly in the USA are more likely to suffer from depression and distancing themselves from their family over not being needed and connected in those ways that keep them young. Not weird at all!
Ok I like never comment on vids, and I love all of them, I think you guys are so cool and sweet and a cute couple, but this video was filmed and edited in such a cool way. I feel like you really portrayed how you’re feeling by just living life and also supporting your family. It honestly felt like watching a movie towards the end.

You both show so much respect and love to eachother and your children, which I believe is so important in a relationship. Since you guys are expecting, I was wondering if you'd try something. There's a book called "on becoming baby wise" and if you read that, it will tell you how to create a schedule that your baby needs to be able to adjust to sleeping through the night. My parents did it with their 7 youngest kids, my sister in law has done it with all these of her kids so far and I've done it with my firstborn and all of them were sleeping through the night by 6 weeks old. Do that and post how it goes. I'm curious how it works for other people
