@@Thebeautifulme100 she is healing..god don't you know how hard it is to give birth..you might not but i have seen it and c-section needs complete rest, you can't lift heavy things and can't move around much if you don't wanna end up in hospital again and I don't know what kind of men you have seen in your life but people around here always help each other.. I grew up seeing my parents cook together be it breakfast or dinner and both my parents took care of me equally so i don't know what environment you grew up in but this is normal if he didn't do at least this much he would be a horrible father and husband and btw you might not have noticed but mostly he records so we can only see his side of life and he was with griffen the whole time or sleeping so i wonder who took care of the new born i mean as much as i know her parents weren't there and i know for a fact that newborn don't sleep that long

It made me so sad when Abbie said “people will think I don’t take care of our kids” just because Matt is an involved father. As a once single mom who did EVERYTHING, now to have a husband that helps so much and shares the load, it’s SO nice to have the help, but I still do so much, and I KNOW Abbie does too! I absolutely love how you both normalize BOTH parents sharing the load, working together, and being considerate of each other! You both are doing amazing and you’re great role models!❤

@@brxannamxchelle5987and she had a c-section right? I had an easy vaginal delivery but unfortunately I had a perineal tear with complications that took more than 12 weeks to fully heal and it was hell! I can’t imagine having 2 kids to take care of while recovering from major surgery! My husband was at work all day and I have no family nearby so with just one baby it was still a major struggle. If dad is there and able to help, he better help. That’s literally his job as a dad. People need to stop acting like mom has to do everything by herself or she’s lazy or a bad mom. It’s so toxic. As a culture, we need to normalize dads being equally responsible and capable involved parents whenever possible.

Matt does this on purpose. The 5% of the time he has the kids he films so it looks like he’s doing more of the work. I bet you 95% of the time Abby has the kids. It’s all an ego thing for Matt and what narcissists do. He gets to feel good, Abby feels down and relies on him more

Am incredibly lucky to have a husband just like Matt, or should I say, even better ( maybe am biased lol) but he's really an amazing dad and husband. He does the night shift daily and also helps with naps during weekends and even during weekdays when he's not super busy with wfh. With my first born, he was also in charge of the night shifts, sitting on the sofa with our baby in his arms because he was a contact sleeper and would only sleep like that. I was also incredibly lucky back then to be able to enjoy my nights. They are true gems. Sometimes I think that I don't deserve him!

What’s even more tear jerking, Matt is when you blink and they are graduating from school! When you look back you just wonder how did they grow up so fast! I believe that while you are raising them you’re so busy with their needs, your spouse, your work, your life that time just slips right out of your fingertips and boom grown children! When I was a new mom my mom told me something that’s now one of the most profound statements…. When they are young they step on your toes but when they are grown they step on your heart! Of course I knew it all back then (not) and I thought Neva… ever not my lil men… well fast forward to after they graduated and I learned a lesson in saying “Neva would my son do such a thing” haha it happens! As a mama bear I always wanted to protect my lil cubs but guess what they grow up and think they know everything too!! Haha Guess I’m just saying enjoy every lil minute bcuz it truly goes to fast! Love all of you and prayers for y’all! ❤️

Our oldest just turned 2 so we just got out of the 2 under 2 stage! It is so hard but you got this. One thing my mom told me that helped me a lot -- if your toddler is happy in his crib when he wakes up, it is totally ok to let him hang out in there for a bit! The independent time can be good for them and it gives you a minute to breathe sometimes

Ok, no offense but why are you jumping right up to get the oldest boy up the minute he even wiggles? Theres no need. He is perfectly old enough to learn that if he wakes up before a certain time, lets say 7:30 a.m. then he can learn to occupy hinself for a bit while mom and Dad catch a few more winks. I taught my kids this. It was really sweet when they got older and i started noticing them teaching the young ones how to play quietly while mom and dad got anotĥer 30 Minutes or so.

Not mine! Everyone kept saying it'll get better by 6 months. NOPE! Substantially worse! Turns out she had an undiagnosed tongue-tie that I had to fight to get diagnosed and treated at the rather old age of 18 months. She also has life threatening food allergies. And she's Autistic. She didn't start sleeping through the night until she was around 6 YEARS and even then has several very difficult nights every month. And she has lots of crying meltdowns almost daily, so many triggers. I eliminate and reduce the triggers that I can, but life is extra hard with Autism even with the best accommodations. So yeah... for some of us the crying and sleep issues never end.

I love that you all keep it real! My now 7 month old boy cried all the time for 3 months. It was overwhelming and it seemed like everyone else’s newborn was “quiet.” My boy has just been so much more in-tuned with the world around him. He’s observant, and he literally reads your soul. I think he cried so much because he’s a little wizard and all of his knowledge made him colicky. The crying stopped at 3 months ….it gets better for sure!

I feel you two. Mine are 13 months apart too. My second one had collic starting at 3 months till 9 mo. He would scream from 6pm to midnight every evening. My husband didn't hear them after he fell asleep. I was a nurse and worked shifts,so I didn't sleep many nights. They were in the same room and woke up every 2 hours, just to stir and start to cry. They were on opposite hours of course, so I didn't sleep. Enjoy these days, they go by fast.( thank god).

It will get easier over time. Having two under 2 is definitely challenging. But you will get through this. You two are wonderful parents. The more help you gave the better it gets. If you have a schedule with griffin planned out thst can make it easygoing. Finding a balance between both babies can work out as time goes by. Nothing is easy and smooth sailing at first but as time goes by it eventually does. Hang in there. You will make it through. Love you all.

Managing to have a little time as a couple is so important ❤ We are in a similar situation and I can say that the first year is the hardest, then it gets better! Stay strong! The boys are so adorable and it’s hard to see it sometimes in the everyday chaos, but try to take a second to appreciate that every day. Thank you for showing what parenting really looks like! I had 3 under 3. My husband worked on the road. I was fortunate that all three took to demand feeding during the day, so by 8 pm, they would go right to bed and sleep until 5 am.
Social media puts extreme pressure on new parents today to be perfect. It's good to show that parenting is not easy for everyone.
The fact that you don't have jobs and you still struggle helps others see that they are not alone.

This was so beautiful to watch…all of the team work between you two and it’s so real! I had 2 under 2 as well…my son (the oldest) had a milk-protein allergy where he displayed colic-like symptoms…he could NOT be soothed. I had to cut dairy and soy from my diet, that is when he finally slept better and was no longer fussy and almost inconsolable. I didn’t find this out though until he was 3 months so it was tough. My daughter displayed similar symptoms when I brought her home so I just cut all dairy and soy when she was 4 days old. They both grew out of it by 6 months!
Life gets easier and I love what Matt says about not having it any other way!! They will have the most incredible bond❤️ My daughter and son are now 6 and 8 and they’re the best of friends! 😊
