"Red Velvet Corridor" is secretly one of the most disturbing songs on the album. It's like it's hiding something.

One of the most unsettling songs I’ve ever heard. The way that lead string melody comes in is beautiful in some sort of messed up way

I like how you added the tracks in the background to reference your talking points, It definitely helped a lot to see where you're referring to especially for such a massive album. I didn't even know this was done until I was listening to this review with headphones on.

I always interpreted I Was a Prisoner in your Skull’s field recording section as being the ‘narrator’s’ brain giving the monologue. A prisoner in their skull that has to show them how to do every day tasks….

Really glad to hear that someone else sheds a tear without fear every time Helpless Child starts to reach climax. That song is still the most emotionally impactful song I've ever heard.

Great video man. Ive heard not an immense amount of music but more than the average person, and to me this is the best album ever recorded, with helpless child being the best song ever recorded. This album sounds like it fell from a rift in the sky, completely bizarre and uncanny.

Love the enthusiasm, but after Helpless Child you said "the next track is Yum-Yab Killers"... and you skipped over "Live Through Me", which is my favorite song on the whole album. Come on, man!

Great review, Soundtracks is one of my favorite albums of all time and you really hit the nail on the head describing most of the songs on it. as far as suggestions go I'd like to see you review Can's Tago Mago or maybe Future Days, two classic krautrock records that were extremely influential to rock music. Anyway, best of luck on your channel.

For the lack of melody, I can say it’s definitely an experimental album for sure. If only every song didn’t sound like an intro and actually had “music” in it, I would probably have an easier listen to it. Not good to me, but it’s whatever, the first 10 songs are booty, if you could, please tell me why you hate or love the album cuz I really don’t get it

Why do I get the feeling that the recent Swans albums tries to out do Soundtracks for the Blind? The Seer, To Be Kind, & The Hollow Man are double Album epics that feel much more organized & has structured, but I can’t help but imagine Michael Gira being envious of the band’s 1996 masterpiece that he continues to motivate himself to have less people to give high regards to Soundtracks for the Blind with his new material.
