    Love this channel I watch every video. As a Newcastle fan I was very interested to watch this edition. You’ve summarised it perfectly. £69 million in 10 years is disgusting! Where’s our money gone!

    brilliant video, united fan, but I still root for newcastle and their amazing fans they got, absolutely being rinsed by that fat cashley. hope the best for them and that they keep hold of Rafa for bit longer at least. without him they could become a midtable championship side for next decade potentially league 1 at this rate

      Case in point Tyneside's mortal enemy - Sunderland, who instead of promoting first time of asking, they got relagated AGAIN. At this rate in 3-4 years Sunderland may fall to League 2.

    I would love to see you guys do a video on Dirk Kuyt. Even though I'm a Manchester United fan I'd be interested to see if he was actually a a top class player or if he was just a an insane hard worker. It'd be really interesting to see the tactical side of his game as well. Please consider it Tifo!!! Much love, keep up the awesome content

    Great video. The amount Newcastle are spending on wages is shocking. And to be honest, they could cut a lot of that expenditure out by offloading the dead weight in their squad. There's many players at Newcastle that aren't Premier League standard. Benitez and Ashley need to form a closer bond to make things work better; it's clear there's some sort of disagreement between the two.

    • @PeterM2014
      @PeterM2014 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Newcastle would have to replace those players with those up to the Premier League standard, thus increasing the wage bill, not cutting it.

    • @grumpypear5888
      @grumpypear5888 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Peter James But if they were to get rid of the bundle of Championship standard players that they don’t use, and replace them with just one or two Prem players, this wouldn’t be an issue. The club doesn’t have to replace every player they sell. The squad can be streamlined instead.

    Mike Ashley will never sell Newcastle because its the possibly the best and cheapest (in fact its free) form of advertising for Sports Direct.

    • @lesvosace602
      @lesvosace602 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Did you see the part that says ashley has lent the club 144m in interest free loans? and you cry that he puts his company on the shirt? That's exactly what Man Sheiky do.

    • @stephenwilliams5575
      @stephenwilliams5575 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lesvosace if ashley actually sold that advertising space on the free market he would have earned that money back with a lot of interest

    • @stephenwilliams5575
      @stephenwilliams5575 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lesvosace also ashleys "loans" come from 1. Paying off the ground mortgage we were already paying without him 2. costs of being relegated twice due to his mismanagement. Yeah ashley had to prop up the club but only because he knocked it down to begin with

      Red Law Can't not go to matches. Newcastles support is what makes it special. Its the reason why a manager like Rafa Benitez stays despite being shafted by Ashley.

    • @Red__Law
      @Red__Law 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Newcastle fans supporting the club publicly & financially is what's keeping Ashley at that club tho. As for Rafa, during his time at LFC he backed fans taking action against Hicks and Gillett.

    Newcastle has generated profits of around £30 million for every season in the Premier League under Ashley. This money has not been reinvested in the playing squad or the facilities and the club's debt owed to Ashley has only increased. Where is this money going?

    We're in a position where the future could look so bright.
    Or it could look so fucking shit.
    If he doesn't invest, and risks us going back down, and we lose Rafa, then we'll never be back to the PL.
    If he somehow grows a brain and invests and we stay up, we could look at being stable in the PL for years to come.

    the late 90s early 2000s renovations on St James still left some old underpinnings but a large venue to ply your wares. even before the extra dinning or shearer's bar the club store was well stocked-.limited expansion was due to the oldest stands butting across a narrow lane from a hospital and a historic section of hadrian's wall and a mall. still mr ashleys man saying stadia wold not fill enough to add 8-10k seats is wrong. ticket prices were frozen at championship and the campaign won promotion doing well in secondaries ot ticket prices. its the lack of cup play and extra effort to grow the side with proven premiere winners as sir john hall or freddy shepherd could thats a worry. the fa needs a moratorium on major sides inflating average players signings to price out competitiveness for the health of the sport and far from london glam -people come and stay for memories of times before the decline of 2 relegations and signing untested non premiere people on the cheap and flipping them like a house resale.

      Half-Step Autarch Middlesbrough and Aston Villa still struggled even with good squads. It’s hard to perform without a decent manager even with money, squad not stable enough. Players obviously sold because they want to play in the PL, same with Newcastle.

    • @_booth7992
      @_booth7992 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Mr Lebowski there’s some clubs in this country are simply leagues below where they should be all down to their owners. Newcastle are a premier league club, with premier league players. Following relegation smart sales and purchases allowed them to instantly bounce back when many have struggled. I know Newcastle fans like to think of themselves as the underdogs but the fact is, while their ownership isn’t the greatest, they’re in a position many would die for.

    • @StringaBell17
      @StringaBell17 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Barney Booth I understand what you're saying but we've gone from title challenging, breaking the world transfer record and a bit of champions league football to basically been an advertising board for Mike Ashely. It's about context I could compare lower league teams to teams in the lower leagues of a poorer nation and tell them to look on the bright side but it's not about that. We finally have a world class manager after years of idiots and he gets unsurprisingly little money to spend as shown above even after he rakes in 70 million.

      Top 15 highest average attendance in Europe, championship squad who without the appointment of Rafa would be stuck in a viscous cycle of relegation and promotion to and from the premier league until Ashley left. If Inter Milan or Benfica found themselves in this position the whole footballing world would sit up. We have just as big of a fan base and ‘we don’t know how good we’ve got it’ for being a team confined to watching championship football every other season whereas other teams just as big as us are watching European and champions league football.
