Any chance of doing some videos, maybe make a Tifo Football Gaming channel, and analyze how realistic FM tactics are? And other features as well, their predictions on wonderkids etc. I'd LOVE to see you try and utilize your tactical knowledge in FM, much love and I hope your channel keeps on growing
Great vid again, sad to see Coventry in this state and I've got a feeling like even when they sell the club they won't go away with hidden loans that they will try to reclaim if Coventry got back into the premier league
It will pretty much be the same, we had to sell off Sam Mcallum to stay afloat..another excellent youth player like James Maddison and Callum Wilson sold off for less than they will be worth in a few years. Mark Robins has done amazing with what he has had to play with but we still are in massive debt to our 'owners' (work that one out?) we don't have a ground and are still at the whim of SISU and the shady as fuck ARVO masterfund. Things may look good on the pitch with the real possibility of promotion to the championship but behind it all is a pile of steaming turds.
Josh Beaven I was just going to comment this! I’m currently in year four of an FM17 save with them. (FM17 because I’m a college kid, so my own finances are abysmally poor. Thank god your content is free 🙏🏼🙏🏼)
I wonder if you guys can make a finance video for Southend United. The club has historically had difficulties financially, dodged administration on a couple of occasions, and are still trying to get a new stadium approved for construction in Fossetts Farm to increase revenue in the long-term (Which they've tried to do for over a decade.)
Wasps have initially taken well to being in Coventry. They raised a lot of immediate income to pay off loans around the purchase of the Ricoh. Wasps have seen their on field performance also improve. However, Coventry City and Wasps remain in a constant battle over the stadium. As it stands, Coventry have next season at the Ricoh before the lease runs out and they either agree another Ricoh deal with Wasps, or they play somewhere else.
it's not coventry, it's the owners, Wasps hate Sisu same reason they weren't allowed to buy the stadium despite the council saying when we were in the premier league "The stadium will be bought for and owned by the club" and thank fuck else Sisu would have sold it ages ago, Wasps said they would easily give coventry city a ten year contract at the Ricoh if Sisu weren't the owners, tells you something when the Rugby team knows the owners are screwing our club over
Very similar. Massive clubs hampered by mismanagement from people who clearly don't care. A lot of teams seem to be heading in the same route. West Ham in the Premier League, Hull in the Championship, Blackpool and Blackburn in League One (to a certain extent, although their situations are seemingly improving) and Coventry in League Two.
In championship now hopeful in survival, we are getting more money than we did in league one and having more broadcasting money. We just need a ground to play at. Fuck the wasps. SISU have put money into transfers working along side Mark Robins on that. Mark Robins is a legend. If we didn’t get promoted from league two, would we be a club today? No.
Well..... Franchise FC (formerly Wimbledon FC in name) and also known as MK Cons played in League 2 in 06/07 , and AFC Wimbledon (formerly the spirit of Wimbledon FC) rose to league 2 in 11/12. Just saying because Wimbledon would be the lowest place premier league team to be at league 2, and even lower if you take into consideration the Combined Counties League.
MK Dons were formed in 2004 after the insolvency of Wimbledon FC. MK took Wimbledon's place in the FL and AFC Wimbledon was started from the very bottom. Literally has nothing to do with this because the club you're referring to no longer exist.
Yes and no. Football clubs historically have a been more about breaking even or running at a slight loss, with the losses covered from the owners pocket. The best run clubs are self-sustaining with profits going back in the club. However, with the increase in broadcast income and other things, well-run football clubs can be very profitable. Manchester United, for example, is completely self-sustaining despite their owners taking money out of the club. Arsenal too is self-sustaining, with their owners famously not investing in the club from his own pockets. But badly run football clubs are like badly run anything, they are not profitable and can implode due to bad decision making. Remember even brothels and casinos can go out of business.
Depends on the league s s the time . For the EPL in recent years, the broadcast rights are so high that in general they are (especially if bought before a new, usually higher rights deal kicks in).
You'd be well advised to invest your money elsewhere. Owning a football club is usually done out of love (personal ties) or for the ego (A 'play thing' - Abramovich at Chelsea)
Now in our 2nd season in the Championship and flying high in the league, thank you Mark Robins, the Sky Blue white knight!
*Quickly starts up FM 18 to check Coventry finances*

I'm sure he'll see it, he seems to be reading a lot of comments on every video, which is great to see
Finally finances are back!!! best series imo
Would love to see some videos on less talked about leagues such as MLS, Liga NOS and the Scottish and Dutch leagues.
Mark Robins: ‘Hold my beer I just need to put my white knight armour on boys!’
Make an updated version of this it’d be cool! 😍

@@Villa006 Shit on the villa
Im so happy you did one on Coventry
I would be really intrigued to see an updated version of this. Also, when people ask me about the club I will just share this link in future :)
An in-depth Tifo video explaining the situation at Coventry City and the fan backlash would be special. A lot has happened the past few years.
I love this series and I'm glad it's back!
Would love one for the recent Coventry seasons

I would love one that looked at the stadium and how wasps got it for about £20mill,
Do one on Blackpool
Barry Stanton's club.
THEY ARE NOW POTENTIALLY TO GET PROMOTED BACK
God I love these financial analysis of football clubs. You guys are a godsend
Can we have another please when the accounts for this season are in

Interesting insight into the recent history of the Sky Blues
This was great, maybe do one on QPR next?

James Maddison is a brilliant player in the championship now
Kuy91 premier league now.
Do one on Accrington Stanley, lowest budget in the football league but top of league 2
Great video

Thanks for mentioning Wasps as I was waiting for that! What was the result of the rugby side ground-sharing since their move from High Wycombe?

@@Tifo Do an update please, would love to see the changes... unreal turn around by this team!
Would you consider doing something similar about Sunderland? I would guess certain aspects of their demise may be comparable to Coventry.

Well now with the championship money and 7.2 million profit on players alone in the past 3 years makes this less bleak
Plozz do french legue 1 finances
Can u do Northampton Town FC ??

You got the total wrong, match day (£2,500,000) and commercial (£3,700,000) revenue totaled £6,200,000 not £6,100,000!
it's just round-ups/downs, so whilst it looks wrong here it's just an approximate to the closest round number.
we get less on match day
#we want Sisu out
Make one about Roma

Deliberately not included in this due to the fact that MK Dons are *not* the same team as Wimbledon FC.

is buying a football club profitable or not?

How is 2.5M plus 3.7M = 6.1M?
plus the average bonus of £450,000 and cause we were in the final a bump would estimate half a million for television broadcasts across the world
That white Knight was birmingham city
2:30 James Maddison before he was good
It's not looking good. Even dion Dublin and Darren Huckaby can't save them now
And 2 promotions later... now we're in the championship. We need an update!
They won promotion
It should be illegal to do this to a beloved football team
ARVO not AVRO
